She was watching with a bemused smile as he headed to the countertop, only to give up on pretending to read her book when she saw the barista's face and evident frustration. It was even funnier watching him repeat it, struggling to keep a straight face. Cam shook her head and grinned as he came back over.

    He certainly did do it. The kid just didn't follow through and order the drink.

               "I'd give you props, but you didn't do the entire dare, hotshot.                       Plus I already gave you five dollars."

              ❝ Well, I just met you. ❞

                           He took the money and shoved in his pocket, then                            tossed a smug grin over his shoulder on the way to                            the counter. He didn’t have too many qualms about                            taking a dare of that sort, and being paid for it?                                                                                   Piece of cake.

                              He got it done, all right, and received the most bizarre                               look anyone had ever given him from the barista. And                               after being asked to repeat it a few times, he finally threw                               his hands up in mock exasperation and cried,  ❝ You                               know what? Just forget it! ❞

                                       Afterwards, he returned to the girl and offered nothing                                        more  than  a  shrug  and  a   smile.
