i don’t think some people understand that this album was not meant to be a record breaking or music chart topper type of album.

Yeah, she’s the biggest pop star. yeah, this is technically a pop album. but this is an album that recounts the feelings and experiences that she’s gone through over the last few years. what it felt like having to go through such a public breakup in the middle of the biggest tour of her career. this was an album for taylor to get her closure and share her story with her fans.
