Stranger Things and Dungeons & Dragons #3
That was really good! I loved that a lot. It was awesome to see Eddie that the high road so much. Like I def understand letting his emotions get the better of him during the first session. But then to come back and trash two years of character for an asshole. That's a hell of a move. And I loved that the group respected him. That was beautiful! And then the stuff with Lucas was great too.

Zatanna #4
That was decent. I liked that she believed Basil. And that as soon as she heard the dude was behind stuff, she got a plan going. I really liked the nightmare demon. That was fun/creepy. Yeah. I'm excited to see how this all wraps up!

The High Republic Adventures #18
That was such a nothing issue. It was Farzala just waiting the entire time to take his shot. And to fill out the pages, it focuses on Jackby, a character I do not remember, and I could not find on google. So yeah, no, I did not care for this issue and am very ready for this series to be over.

The High Republic Fear of the Jedi #4
That was decent. IDK if I super liked the idea that all the things were just fake. But tying it back into H'tar was nice at least. Though the giant scav droid was a little silly.

Legacy of Vader #4
That was decent. I don't super like the idea of Kylo destroying Naboo. It has such a long, rich history. Making himself king is fine. And it's not too surprising to learn that Vader came back and destroyed the place. I like the way it was turned into a myth too. I am interested in seeing where it all goes.

Daredevil Unleash Hell #5
That was a good read! Elektra embraced her dark side to save the day. I'm sure that'll lead to some conflict down the road. But it was a great moment here. And then I loved Morgan. She was so destroyed by what she had done. I completely believed her desire to kill herself. And I'm glad they didn't just neatly tie that up. That'll take years to unpack all that trauma. So yeah. I really enjoyed this series and I'm glad I read it! -Chuck

Doom Academy #4
That was really good! I'm glad we learned Greta's full backstory. Mostly so that there's no doubt of her intentions. She's a good person with a deep love of magic and she does in fact like Zoe. And it's fun that they have this undead connection. That's potentially what drew them together in the first place. I dig it! Yeah, I'm excited to see how this all comes together in the end! -Chuck

The Vision & The Scarlet Witch #1
That was really good! I mean, this team has been very consistent with these multiple series and this is no exception! The drama was great! The action was awesome. I loved how Wanda defeated the gang. That was great. And then Vision's whole thing with Eric was really fun. He was so unnerved by the entire experience. And I can see how the zombie was able to get the drop on him. That was great writing! So yeah. I'm really excited for this new series!

Darkwing Duck #3
That was a lot of fun. I loved that Darkwing was clearly already talented when he went to the monks. He just needed some fine tuning. And the double twist with the book was great! That's very Darkwing Duck. I loved it !

Lower Decks #7
That was a lot of fun! I enjoyed seeing Freeman young (the same age as me!). It was a bit surprising they made her basically the exact same as Mariner. I mean, it makes sense. Parents often struggle when they're kids are too similar to their younger selves. Doctor Pulaski was cool to see too. I don't remember her off hand, but I always enjoy a fun refence to the shows.

Jedi Knights #3
That was such a quick read! But that being said, I still enjoyed it. the art was fantastic! And the story was still interesting. I really didn't mind that it took no time to read. Like the creature design alone made it worth it. It was a fun read!

Miles Morales: Spider-Man #33
That was fun. I really enjoyed the stuff with Jaime and Jade. Their budding friendship was super adorable. I could have taken an entire issue of just that. But the actual story was good. I really liked Miles panicing picking his teammates. And then the twist with Dr. Kwan was kinda fun. I do wish she could have talked her way out of it, but the hulk stuff was a neat surprise. I'm excited to see where the story goes!

Spider-Verse Venom-Verse #1
That was fine. Idk. I don't feel like the story really moved that far ahead from where it was. Like yeah, the conflict has officially started and the teams have met, but it was pretty clear that the two teams are going to eventually work together to save everyone. So I just want the story to hurry up and get to that point to see what they come up with. I did like seeing Silk and her joke about not being phased when Peter disappeared. That was fun!

The Spectacular Spider-Men #15
Yeah, that was cute. I'm glad that Juliet was able to be mature and accept that she can't be with Anna on her own. I've def been there so I can hardcore relate. I will say, not a whole lot happened this issue. But it was still a nice send off for this little series. I dug it well enough! -Chuck

Ultimate X-Men #15
I really enjoyed the stuff with Nico in the cult. That was fun/excited. I'm still losing interest in this series. So the rest didn't do a whole lot for me. Though I did like the creepy eye imagery. That was the right kind of unsettling.

Gwenpool #1
I have a lot of mixed feelings on this. Most writers don't get Gwen's voice or powers quite right and this is no exception. She's definitely leaning on the annoying side. And the story doesn't feel like it's set in the main 616 universe because Fin Fan Foom took out the X-Men, The Avengers, and the Fantastic Four, before Gwen saves the day. Gwen is ridiculously powerful, but this is just all kinds of wrong. And I ALWAYS hate when they lean into the "she's just a mutant thing." I get why they established that, but I hate it a lot. And I get that this Gwen Stacy isn't Gwen Poole, but hot damn this was violent! It feels so wrong for a Gwenpool book. I don't mind violence in stories in general, but this level does not belong in a Gwenpool story. I'll still read it because I've read all of her stuff, but this isn't off to a great start...

Birds of Prey #21
That was a lot of fun! It was neat seeing the birds get their asses kicked and running scared. It makes this threat all that scarier! Especially Oracle calling EVERYONE to tell them to hide. That's some serious shit! I'm excited to see where this all goes and how the birds will recover.
