It’s been months since I announced this challenge and if you’ve participated in it, you didn’t disappoint me. Everybody’s writing was gorgeous and I loved reading them. Summary: It takes some trashing around to make Dean confess his love to you.

Prompt: I love you, but you need to stop moving otherwise I’m going to glue you down

A/N: Alright, here it goes. Hi guys, I’m Nina, and this is my very first time posting something I wrote myself. It’s for @cass-trash 1000-followers challenge. Congrats darling! I hope you’ll enjoy this!

‘We really need to search for a motel, Dean. We can’t keep driving in this weather.’ The rain pours down on Baby’s windshield and lightning lights up the dark road in front of us. You and Dean were on the way home to the bunker from a quick salt and burn a few towns over. Sam stayed at home, organizing the library. He was such a nerd sometimes, but you loved him like a brother.

‘You’re right. I believe I just saw a sign of a motel a few miles ahead. We’ll spend the night there, and drive home tomorrow.’ Dean says, while looking intently at the road. Half an hour later, you race to the reception of some weary old motel. ‘One room, 2 single beds please.’ Dean grumbles to the lady behind the counter. ‘I’m sorry sir, we only have one room with a double bed left.’

‘That’s fine, give us that one.’ Dean takes the keys from the lady, and walks straight to our assigned room. You rush after him. ‘I’ll take the couch, you can sleep in the bed, since you drove all day. I want you to be well rested when we go home tomorrow.’ You say as he opens the door to our room. ‘Sweetheart, I would have appreciated that, but it looks like we have to share.’ Dean steps inside, and you see there’s no sign of the couch you were talking about. You drop your bags in a corner and fall down on the bed.

‘How can this stupid old thing only have one room left?’

‘No idea, sweetheart. You want to shower first? I’ll order some food. Pizza okay?’ You nod, and quickly grab your stuff to go shower. When you close the bathroom door behind you, you quickly strip of your clothes. You just stand under the hot water for a few minutes, letting your thoughts race. Sharing a bed with Dean Winchester? This was going to be the death of you. You’ve been hunting with the Winchester for a few years now. They took you in after a werewolf killed your parents and your little sister. Soon after, you started to develop a crush on the older Winchester. He was your knight in shining armour, even if he didn’t know it.

After you and Dean had dinner, he jumped in the shower, while you grabbed your book and laid down on the bed. You were so engrossed in your book that you hadn’t noticed Dean coming out of the bathroom, until the bed dipped. ‘Whatcha reading?’ You looked up to see Dean smiling at you. He was only wearing black sweatpants. You felt blood rush to your cheeks, sneaking a glance at his broad chest. ‘The Davinci Code.’

‘Haven’t you read that a million times already?’

‘Yeah, I have, but it’s my favorite!’ You started to explain the plot, getting all excited about telling Dean about the book. ‘I know, sweetheart, I’ve read it too. But how about you put that away, and we watch a movie together?’

‘That sounds great. You can pick one, I don’t really care.’

A few minutes after the movie, some old western, starts, Dean casually throws his arm around you. A blush rises to your cheeks, and you just hopes he doesn’t notice. You aren’t paying attention to the movie, but only more to Dean. You try not to stare at him, but that doesn’t work.  You notice a light stubble on his cheeks, his sharp jawline the way his mouth twitches slightly upwards in a smile when there happens something funny. ‘You’re staring, sweetheart.’ Dean turns his head to smirk at you. ‘Was not!’ You try to deny, but he raises his eyebrows and you laugh. ‘Sorry, just deep in thought.’

‘That’s alright.’ Dean turns his attention back to the movie. But you still can’t focus on it. The thought of having to share bed with him still occupies your mind. By the end of the movie, you’ve made up a hundred different scenarios as to how this night will end. Maybe he will miraculously confess his love to you. Or maybe you will have a nightmare, and he will laugh at you. Maybe you accidentally kick him in your sleep. Or maybe… You were driving yourself crazy, and you knew it. But you couldn’t help it.

‘Alright, I’m going to sleep, you too?’ Dean turns off the tv, and climbs back in bed again. ‘Yeah, me too. Goodnight Dean.’

‘Goodnight sweetheart.’  He turns to lay on his side with his back to you, and within a few minutes, you hear a soft snore. You don’t want to move, afraid to wake him up, but you can’t help it. You toss and turn, trying to fall asleep, but no position is good enough. Sleep can’t seem to get you. You shiver. It doesn’t help that it’s freezing in the room, and there’s a huge heater laying right next to you. You want to get closer to him, feeling his body heat warming you up, but you know you can’t. You and Dean are just hunting buddies, no more and no less. You turn once again, sighing deeply.

‘Sweetheart, I love you, but you need to stop moving, otherwise I’m going to glue you down.’ Dean grumbles. ‘I’m sorry.’ You whisper, ashamed you woke him up. But wait. Did he just say ‘I love you’? I love you? I love you as in ‘you’re my best friend’? Or I love you as in ‘I want to kiss you and be with you’? O my god, why did he have to say that? You were never going to get some sleep tonight.

‘Don’t be. Are you okay?’

‘Yeah, I guess I just can’t sleep.’ You shiver once again. ‘And I’m kinda cold too.’

‘Come here.’ You can feel Dean turning, and he reaches out to you. He throws his arm over your side, and pulls you into his arms. You shiver again, this time from the heat that’s radiating of his body, and you sigh deeply.

‘Better?’

‘Yeah, definitely. Thanks Dean.’

‘No problem. Try to get some sleep, okay?’

‘Yeah, but, Dean?’

‘Yes?’

‘Did you, like, seriously mean that?’ You bite your tongue. Why did you have to ask? Now he certainly was going to turn you down. Why couldn’t you just be happy with the friendship you had with Dean?

‘Yeah.’ Your heart skips a beat.

‘Y-you do?’ you quickly turn in his arms to look at him. You search his face for any sign of a joke, a prank, but you find none.

‘Wow, okay, maybe this wasn’t the smoothest way to tell you, but yeah.’ He breathes.

‘I, I don’t know what to say.’ You stutter. Your heart is beating so fast, there are butterflies in your stomach, and a huge smile threatens to make its way to your face.

‘I’m sorry, I didn’t want you to feel uncomfortable or something.’ Dean retreated his arms, but you quickly grabbed his hand.

‘No, Dean. I love you too.’ You smile, and you watch his face light up again. He grabs you by your waist and hoists you on top of him. You squeal, then start laughing. Dean’s eyes twinkle while he reaches up to brush your hair away from your face. You can’t contain yourself, and lean down to crash your lips against his. You part again when you both run out of air. Panting a little, you hide your face in Dean's shirt. He wraps his arms around you, and sighs deeply. ‘We should go to sleep.’ He mumbles. You nod and try to get out of Dean's arms, but he holds you close. ‘No way in hell I’m going to let you go. Plus, if you keep moving, no one will get some sleep tonight.’

You giggle. ‘You’re right. Goodnight Dean.’

‘Goodnight sweetheart.’

Ok so I wanna do a thing

I love reading fanfiction. Its one of my top fave pass times. Unfortunately for me, I am EXTREMELY detail orientated and if one detail is off in the fic, I’ll notice. Sooooo I wanna do a thing for all you wonderful writers out there. If you want your upcoming fics read over and edited feel free to send them to me. I’ll most likely edit them within the same day of sending them (if not I’ll let you know).

i’m laying in bed, but i’m not sleeping. no. instead, the darkness in my head begins to fight the darkness of my room, battling for dominance with cries of, ‘you’re not good enough’ and, ‘what if you fail’ i toss and turn, try to shut them out, but even though i squeeze my eyes shut, squeeze so tightly that i see stars, the voices keep chanting, ‘they don’t love you’ and, 'what if you mess up’  i bury my head under the sheets, and for a moment all is silent in this new form of darkness, but i forget the need for air, so i crack the blanket to catch my breath, and in spill the voices spinning their maniacal webs, 'just one cut’ and 'what’s one less meal’so i reach for my phone illuminate the darkness the only way i know how, escaping into the magical worlds and losing myself in the pictures, night after night, after night, after night, until the bags under my eyes match the color of the night sky, until the stars i saw behind my eyelids are now in front, and i’m staring at the broken mess of myself in the reflection of the moon
