Gyah! Almost for got to post this here. This is my pride month art!! Sorry I couldn’t provide more for this month, things got very busy. But to celebrate I at least drew my oc x fanon ship between my oc Yuno and Jeremy. They are very dear to my heart. Hopefully I can post more about them soon, I’ll be doing artfight this year with them too!

I'd like to think that after Mike finds out about all the murders from '87, he develops a huge sense of survivor's guilt. Especially with the whole fact that his mind had blocked out the memory for years, erasing an entire childhood friend that he was so incredibly close to. He might even start to blame himself for the death of Faith. Not being there to protect her and instead getting distracted by that stupid pirate fox. And while he might've not had a bond with any of the other children taken that day, he still empathizes with their sorrow and grieves for them.

I changed the “current day” in my AU, rather than it being in the summer or late months of 1999, I moved it all the way up to the beginning of that year, which changes a few things I’d like to note.

1. Ages. Honestly the whole reason I even had the AU take place in 1999 was to make Mike’s age a little older, but still taking place in the 90s (because I absolutely refuse to have my AU in the 00s euuughhhh) Ideally, I wanted my AU to be in 1995 and Mike to be in his late 20s, originally going to be 27. But that wasn’t really possible without making the age he got bitten older (taking place in 1987 as we should all know) which wouldn’t exactly make sense, for he would be too old to be going to children’s animatronic restaurants. 13 is already pushing it to be fair, but it lands him at turning 25 in 1999. However, since I shifted the current time, he’s really 24 since his birthday isn’t until April 21st. For everyone else, I just changed their birth years to keep their ages since it really doesn’t matter besides Mike’s.

2. Music. I built a few playlists for the characters that were very time accurate, but they also included music that came out early in the year of 1999, so I had to remove them, nothing too big but it’s a shame.

I guess that’s all really, besides new technology that came with 1999, but I don’t think any of it is super important to my AU world. I usually use older things because I’d like to think the town of Hurricane (where the AU takes place) is outdated. Which also reminds me Im planning to make a model and lots of info on Hurricane itself for some world building. Hopefully I can get around to it, haven’t been feeling well recently ngl…

Clarifications

Thought I'd point out some outlines about my AU as what's canon in relation to the games, OG Rebornica comics, books, and the movie.

First off, my AU is mainly based on FNaF 1 and FNaF 2, those are the main focus locations of where everything is. Unlike the games, FNaF 1 takes place BEFORE FNaF 2. A bit of FNaF 4 is also in the story since that was my favorite game as a kid (and still is) however it's not a huge part of the plot as it takes place before Mike is in the picture (He's our main focus as the main character, as much as I neglect him.)

What's canon from everything:

FNaF 1 - Mike gets hired at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, works night shift, yada yada you know the deal. What's different though, Mike doesn't get fired for tampering with the animatronics during his extra shifts. Instead, he's only let go after the place is forced to be shut down for good. Mike works the night shift while the place was open during the day for a month, then only for a week or two after the public closing of Fazbear's, just to make sure the place doesn't get broken into and such. Basically, the same as movie Mike. This section of the story takes place in the summer of 1997. Only other characters at this time of the story are Vincent, Scott, Bryon, and Chris. As well as characters outside of Fazbear's like Mike's at the time significant other, Doll.

FNaF 2 - This location is named Fazbear Jr's, with 'Toy Freddy' being deemed Freddy's younger brother in the Fazbear franchise, as well as the other toys being related to the classic cast. Mike is reluctant to return to Fazbear's, but with his constant nightmares and headaches, it led him right back to the place. This time however, he took on the dayshift as a security guard, since he still didn't want to go through the trauma of the night shift all over again. This is where Mike begins to really search into Fazbear's and try to uncover what it's hiding. He was already suspicious before during his shifts at Fazbear's, but never had the chance to really dig into it and snoop around. However, it wasn't any easier on dayshift either. He still had to be on the job, breaks didn't grant him enough time to truly dig through anything, and the boss was always around the corner keeping an eye on him. His only option to be able to freely figure out anything would have to be after closing, which is when the nightshift starts, so there is never a time when the place is truly empty. Basically, Mike would have to switch over to night shift in order to snoop, which is exactly what he does. This part of the story is where I'm most fixated on and is pretty much what is "currently" happening within the story, since it brings in every other character such as Jeremy, Fritz, my OC Yuno, my cousin's OC Ángel, as well as everyone from before. This part takes place in the fall and winter of 1999.

here's a schedule for reference:

12am - 6am: Night shift

6am - 7am: Preparing for opening

7:30am - 10:30pm: Open

10:30pm - 11:30pm: Clean up

FNaF 3 - I'm debating on whether these events should happen or not in my AU, it will definitely take place after what's currently going on. Though, I'm not going to make it happen 30 years after like how it is in the game. I'm extremely not a fan of futuristic FNaF stuff, yuck. If it were to happen, I'd say it'll take place in 2010-2013 or so. I'm not to that point yet so it's only a lingering thought.

FNaF 4 - Only bits and parts are canon within my AU. The bite of '83 didn't happen, however the characters of Fredbear and Springbonnie are a part of the story. In fact, Vincent used the suit of Springbonnie to lure the children away to kill them, and Fredbear is Golden Freddy in Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. The springlock suits were only used as mascot suits in the Fazbear's location for employees, later being retired after the killing of the children (not a direct effect of the killing) and locked away in the safe room. Fredbear's Diner was an establishment taking place before Fazbear's and where the first kid, Charlie, was killed by Vincent and later became the Marionette. Fredbear's took place between '82 and '86 and closed due to the popularity of Fazbear's opening in '85. The nightmare animatronics are also in a sense canon, only appearing in Mike's nightmares and dreams.

Sister Location through current FNaF games - Didn't happen. Don't care. The only thing I adapted from any of these games was the minigame in Pizzeria Simulator with the security puppet (basically the origin of everything that happens in my AU.)

Books - I've read quite a few of them, but none of them are canon to anything in my AU. I really don't like the crazy advanced AI stuff, not something I like in FNaF.

Movie - I actually like a few of the concepts from the movie, though I thought it was pretty mediocre overall. A few things I adapted from it is the whole dream concept, though they're not exactly like the movie. Mike doesn't need to take medication in order to dream or try to remember stuff. He is unaware that he is supposed to remember anything at all, rather these dreams attack him randomly. He has exactly no memory at all about what happened at Fazbear's, and his mind has been blocking it out ever since his recovery. The only reasons he receives these dreams is because of Faith entering his unconscious mind. She can't provide Mike with clear messages through his dreams and accidentally causes him violent nightmares. Everything is presented to Mike through vague symbolism and metaphors, which he has a difficult time understanding. Faith's influence also gives Mike the strange pull to the Fazbear locations.

Rebornica comics - Honestly, I like to not call my AU the same as the Rebornica AU since I've changed the characters and story so much, but I cannot deny it's influence on the narrative. Everyone knows at least a little bit about it if you were a huge fan of FNaF in 2014-2017. All of the characters in my AU besides the one's I labeled as OCs come directly from these comics, as well as one of the major plot points. Such as the whole bite of '87 being done by Foxy and onto Mike when he was younger, and Faith (the 5th child) being stuck onto Mike. I think in the original comics, Mike was a lot younger during the bite than I have him be, which is 13. I only made him that old just to make him be 25 in 1999 lol. Besides that, there isn't much else besides character relationships and such, a lot of the original comics were a hot mess, and Rebornica not being a great person at the time I don't think, I don't know, it's been a long while since I've dipped my toes into that. Another reason I don't consider my AU to be a direct descendent of Rebornica is because of the changes I've made to everyone and everything, sorry to the people who strictly follow their 'canon' in regards to Rebornica, but I simply don't care for the old canon if "oh this character actually doesn't like this/wouldn't do that" or "that didn't happen in the og" blah blah blah. To be honest, anybody using these characters have simply made them their own with their own story. So maybe in your own mind things play out differently, but for me, it's whatever I want for them.

HELLO! First ever post on tumblr?!! No idea how this works I’m not going to lie, but welcome! I made this blog to be dedicated to my FNAF AU which actually is an interpretation of that old rebornica AU. I’ve loved and drawn these characters for years, and they’ve pretty much morphed into more unique versions of what they once were many years ago. I’ve put off this blog for a long time (I was notified a few days ago that this empty account turned 3 years old.. gulp!) but I’ve finally came around to put it out there and show my cringe special interest of 9 years. So hope you love it as much as I do!

Here’s a basic rundown so my post isn’t crazy long:

Plot in a nutshell: Mike is bitten by foxy in ‘87, suffers crazy head injury and loses part of his frontal lobe. Mike gets headaches and basically sees “visions” or has strong urges regarding Fazbear’s. Is certain something is wrong with the place and tries to unravel the mystery.

Kind of inspired by the movie!
