These last days were quite different to what I imagined. I want this blog to be a positive space but life is not without those hard times. I had a 3 day migraine and everytime I am reminded just how fragile our happy little world is. BUt this is a part of life. Everything comes and goes. The good things and the bad things. Just like Matt Haig wrote in ‘Notes on a nervous planet’ we are like the sky and our thoughts and emotions are the clouds. The come and go and they can darken the sky but they are not the sky. We are not our emotions and thoughts and I think it is very important to remind oneself of that.
Another thing I thought about during those 3 days (tbh it was the third day; I mostly come to terms with it on the llast day wow) was the rather thrilling fact that we are part of this wondeful vast universe. Just think about how up to this day scientists do not know what was before the big bang. They could date back everthing till 0,0000000000000000000000001s but they simply do not know what there was at 0! That is just crazy!!! As long as we do not know what there was before the big bang we can only say that there was nothing there. And just let that sink in... Everything around you and yourself included. Everything you know and love. all of this just came out of nothing! This is such a wonderful thing to remind oneself of I believe. The probability of this happening out of nowhere and even just us existing. It really liftens my spirit just to think about that. To remind myself that I am part of something so wonderful and fascinating as this universe.
So when things get tough and you feel like you do not have a reason to be here just remind yourself that you are the universe, you have it in your bones quite literally. The world would not be the same without you here and if our universe could be born out of nothing, you can be so very sure that you are here for a reason!
#our universe#matt haig always has the right words#how wonderful it is just to exist#and saturn by sleeping at last is the bet fittig song for this#it is sad but beautiful at the same time#just like life

Is there a cozier word than home? A home is so much more than a shelter or a residence. It is the most comfortable place on Earth, a sanctuary where you can relax and be yourself, with no judgments. Home is a restorative, reassuring place, to return to each evening after being out in the frantic, harsh world, or a safe harbor of sorts that you revisit each year - as if on a pilgrimage - to sink into the warmth of family bonds and reconnect to those people, places, and memories that shaped your childhood… Having a home base that supports you and nourishes your spirit will change your life. This isn’t hyperbole.

I will use this blog as my personal diary (kind of) and a place where I document the things I do during my time in self isolation, practicing social distancing.
This blog is supposed to be a safe space where I document the happy little moments of my everyday life. I also want to use this blog to hold myself accountable during this time. I want to use this time to enjoy the little happy things in my life, learn new things and do work for university. But this time is also the perfect time to connect with yourself and others.
I am aware that I am in a very privileged position where I can saty home with my parents, I do not need to work and I CAN stay home. Furthermore I am living in a loving environment where I do not need to fear violence. I am very thankful for that and I think of the ones who are not in such a privileged position.
I hope you stay safe and maybe you can find some joy in my posts!
