Whenever Neil and Kevin start bothering Andrew, he tosses Exy into the conversation and is immediately freed from his torment. Kevneil are like cats who become immediately entranced when the lazer pointer is brought out. It’s been Andrew’s get out of free card ever since he realized he could use it.

He’s tried before with only Kevin, but that led to no actually interested outlet. Neil balances out Kevin’s Exy obsession and participates in it two-fold. They bounce ideas off of each other for hours. Exy is their cocomelon and Andrew abuses it whenever he knows he can get away with it.

yk what i want wymack to one day follow through and actually sign the foxes up for a marathon. they make a day out of it and everyone is So Unhappy to be there at 6:30 in the goddamn am. except for. fucking neil. hes having a grand old time going for a fun little run with his team :)

meanwhile literally everyone else is wishing a thousand fiery deaths upon him for being a sick enough bastard to enjoy this. wymack went home early.

Also me: No, no, no. You don’t get it. palmetto’s main color being the most obnoxious shade of orange is so symbolic. It’s a color that screams LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME! You can’t ignore it. And it’s worn by the foxes who are entirely made up of kids the world tried to beat down and dispose of. Life tried to hide them, but Wymack finds them, puts them in hideous orange uniforms and throws them out on the court with the opportunity to be seen. Because they deserve to exist and have that existence be acknowledged. It’s a middle finger to the universe. Like I’m still here, I survived, and now you have to LOOK at me

no because if i think about it too long im going to cry. like as insane as it was, neil putting out that hit was the first time someone had ever successfully protected jean without expecting anything in return.

kevin was a bystander in the nest and zane only watched his back so long as it was convenient for him, and then betrayed him without a backward glance. renee wanted to protect jean but by the time she got to him, the damage was done and jean was already at death's door. all she and abby, wymack and bee could do was pick up the pieces and put him back together again.

but neil motherfucking josten saw that jean was in danger and said "i can do something about this" and he just did it. no questions asked.

i can't wait for that to become jean's new normal. I can't wait for the trojans to pick up where neil left off. jean has people who will watch out for him now. people who care and will do whatever they can to keep him safe simply because they want to.

Been seeing some stuff about how tsc is "plotless" and lemme just say, it IS. It is plotless but that's not a bad thing. Aftg seemed more happening because it was about dealing. Neil still had to deal with his father, still had to deal with the Moriyamas, had a psychopath hellbent on hurting him and everyone he cared about.

Tsc is nothing like that. It's about healing. Jean's not running from actual, physical threats but from his own trauma. That is not a bad thing. If it's not your cup of tea, fine but please don't shit on the work and say it's "plotless" or "bad". The plot is Jean healing, Jean learning to live and exist beyond the clutches of the Nest.
