Website: https://huemor.rocks/
The website I chose to critique is called Huemor, a web design agency located in Long Island, New York. I chose this website because when I found it, the homepage, and honestly the entire website impressed me.
The first image, which is what appears when a visitor first visits the website, is something really unique and I thought was well done. The red circle around the astronaut is to show that it actually moves around a bit as you try to move around the page, and this adds depth to the site. After you click “Find Out How,” the astronaut flies towards the planet and you’re then taken to the rest of the website. I thought this was really cool and grabbed my attention.
The second image is their logo, which is the part of the website that I didn’t like. I chose this as the part I did not like, however, I had a hard time choosing a part that I wasn’t a fan of because the site is very well done. If I had to critique a section, the logo isn’t very unique in my opinion. I feel that it has been done before and could perhaps be found on Shutterstock. I think their name in itself could be their logo if altered slightly. Overall, I loved this website and I’m glad I stumbled upon it to use as one of my critiques.

Website: http://www.ringwoodnj.net/
This is the website of my hometown, Ringwood, NJ. The top photo is my compliment for the site. What I like about it is the logo being at the top of the page, colorful, and draws your eye to it, so you know exactly what the site is for. I also like the photo across the top of the page because it shows the beautiful nature that surrounds the town, which is something the town is known for.
The second photo displays what I think could be better on the site. Although I don’t love the overall design of the site, (color, fonts, and looks like a template) I think the main issue is the overwhelming amount of information displayed on the homepage. The three red circles show the areas where there is too much text and things to click on. What should be done differently is provide a much bolder, simpler homepage to capture a visitor’s attention, and provide the useful information on other pages of the site.

Website: https://www.allegiantair.com/
In the first screenshot, taken from allegiantair.com, I think the logo being in the upper left-hand corner of the screen, along with the white portion of the logo being behind a dark blue background is well done. I also think the ‘Book Trip’ box is clear, at the center of attention, and easy to navigate.
The second screenshot is what I think can be improved. Across the homepage, there is a wide banner promoting ‘Sunseeker Resorts.’ I think this was not a good choice to include because it takes the attention away from people booking a flight, and the overall brand of the airline.
