My baby cockatiel Ginger flew a way a couple hours ago- she’s a pearly tiel and will answer to Ginger, Chicken, Baby, Danderlion, and Bunny Rabbit. She’ll be 1 year old in January.

Project 3 from Illustration II-

TURKEY VULTURES SOLVE CRIME!! We had to listen to a Ted Talk podcast and make an illustrated gif out of it- The one I chose was about how this turkey vulture enthusiast Dr. Lauren Pharr and turkey vultures are successfully helping law enforcement solve homicide cases in the U.S. because of their keen sense of death!

Project 2 from Composition Drawing!

We had to use repeating shapes so I drew chicks at the beach! Apparently it’s a kind of a nude beach idk! 🌴🌊☀️

Thinking of doing a chicks in bikinis calendar but I think I’m the only one who’d want it 🐤👙📆

Project 2 from Illustration II class! We had to do an illustrated poster- I tweaked that scribble I did in my alternative sketchbook to screen print onto old folders for my fake Melrose Trading Post booth~

A BIG thanks to @dq.christina the screen printing queen for showing me how to screen print!! Without her help, I would not have all of these rad prints! If you haven’t already, go check her art on instagram because it’s beautiful~🖤

I also want to thank my boss for always supporting my career in art and letting me have all the old folders I want- he thinks I’m really weird but he’s a great boss and makes working at a law firm not so bad~⭐️

For the last part we had to paint a landscape in dusk/sunset!

I scribbled my neighbor’s house right around golden hour! I’ve always loved this house~🌳🏠

I just noticed I haven’t posted my under sketches for the other landscapes but oh well~ 🖌

We learned about matte painting- this one was a 4 part project where we had to do a beach, desert, sunrise and dusk painting of places we’ve actually been to- here’s part; my plein air painting of Red Rock Canyon which I visited over the Summer~⛰

We had to do a vertical and horizontal composition and our illustration had to be based off of a quote-

I chose Arabella by the Arctic Monkies so I scribbled some magic in a cheetah-print coat~

We had to do a triptych based off of two words we drew from a box- I got ‘garage’ and ‘poignancy’🗳

Had to look up poignancy and found out that it means “a source of great sorrow” which is appropriate because that’s exactly what my garage was when my family had to move a few years ago~

Oh man- I haven’t posted since last year!! Happy New Year guys!!

Well I’ll start posting all the stuff I did this past semester- starting with this first project in digital illustration whwre we had to do a celebrity portrait!

I chose Matt Bomer because he’s my favorite famous person and I’m still obsessed with White Collar~👔
