had a dream that jimmy solidarity decided to prove he wasn't autistic on stream by taking a lot of autism diagnosis tests online and he got at least a 90% chance on all of them. at one point joel joined the call and sat in silence for a bit as jimmy practically sobbed as he got another 97% chance. grian was apparently harassing him about something through discord the whole time too. it ended with jimmy crying genuine tears and his girlfriend coming in to comfort him.

ADHD pro tip: Use psychological warfare on yourself.
For example, in order to do long tasks, like folding laundry, I put on the Mario Hat:
The main feature of the Mario hat is that my headset does not fit over it, so when The Bees™ try to put me back in front of the screen, the headset issue forces me to remember why I put the Mario hat on, and back to the task I go
As a bonus, the Mario hat is also a very clear indicator to my housemates that business is getting done, and they have learned not to distract me when I'm wearing the "goofy-ass cosplay hat"
It's not stupid if it works.

In case you were wondering why Spotify Wrapped sucks balls this year, and more importantly doesn't have any genre data:
Can you hear the sound of bells? That's because they're clowns. 🤡 🛎

Autistic Inertia is an autism experience that makes it hard to start, stop, and switch tasks.
It somehow doesn't get talked about enough - so I made this comic!
Also, if you want to read the research study I based this comic on, it’s right here!

i genuinely think ocd is incredibly underdiagnosed bc i will see people posting what are obvious rituals, compulsions, intrusive thoughts, spiralling, hyper morality, etc and its like Have You Considered This Might Be An Issue

this website is so full of morbidly depressed people its kind of refreshing actually. no glamour no spectacle of a perfect life even the biggest blogs here are run by suicidal transsexuals with messy rooms who have strange sexual fantasies. found my people
#q#yep this is us.#tumblr i dont even really fully consider a social media. but just a blogging site

Ppl who wanna change their name but don't know what name they wanna change it to or don't know what sounds good/suits them or whatever should be able to get paired with a girl who has 5,000 hours logged on the Sims. Like going to see an ancient oracle or something.

I think a big reason why "children are an oppressed group" gets (wrongly!) read as a "pedophile talking point" is that everyone treats children so terribly that actual child molesters can speedrun winning a kid's trust by like, actually respecting their needs and perspective, at least at first. Which means that the only way out of this mess is for all of us adults to treat children with respect, so that abusers can't use the rareness of that respect as a weapon.

Another Autism Thing I don’t see mentioned outside the community is how fucking *tired* you get.
I was just telling my partner it feels like it takes 110% of my energy to do what should, I feel, only take 60%.
Like it takes a good chunk of my mental and emotional energy to get to the level of “functionality” that, for allistics, is their baseline.
Like I’m starting a few flights of stairs down from the ground floor every day. Except nobody seems to know how to fix it aside from “run faster,” or “get up earlier.”
(Note: I know the term “functional” is erroneous and largely driven by capitalism. I use the word to describe what seems to be needed to participate, even while I know it’s bullshit)
And the thing is, I can’t always pinpoint what exactly is draining me so!
Does anyone else experience this? If so, what are your thoughts?
