please reblog this. disabled people with caregivers desperately need a space to talk about navigating these complicated and often fraught relationships. there's infinite spaces for caregivers to talk about their experiences with each other. and that's good, they need that. and so do we.

this is a public server in the sense that any disabled person with caregivers can join. but there will be a degree of privacy because people won't be able to see all the channels until they are manually approved. also, i will try and implement something I've seen in another server, which is the ability to post anonymously.

It's easy to feel a pressure to signal boost donation pages or donate to charity, but I often get frustrated with that pressure because I just don't have enough left to be giving to charity when we're all suffering

If you are a minority, or struggling at all, then treating and caring for yourself counts as donating to charity. You're being charitable towards someone who needs it, even if that's you. And that's enough. You don't have to worry too much about other people if you're worrying too much about yourself as well ❤️ take every day as it comes, we're all in this together

They're implementing a new rule where if you discuss "sensitive social issues" at all you have to flag your streams as such, these issues include things like war and political unrest but also any lgbtq topics (once again our existence is political).

Essentially a streamer will have to choose between never ever mentioning anything queer (or even just discussing their own life if they're queer themselves) or flagging every stream with "sensitive social issues" and scaring away 90% of viewers.
