yay!!! i'm so excited to be able to post these now <33 these are my pieces for the @traitorszine and it was such a cool experience for my first zine! i did Black Mask Ryuji (Skull) with his accomplices Hawk (Mishima) and Lotus (Shiho)!

i also had the honor of doing some spot art pieces for Liv (twitter) (ao3) and her beautiful fic about Black Mask Ryuji and Akechi! the 2nd piece is for that fic, among some other pieces that i'll leave as a surprise....i'll include the link here to the fic once they've uploaded it <3 thank you Liv for working with me, it was so much fun!! :3c

some commentary under the cut

how it started.. i wanted to do something symbolic, somethin abt the tragedy of lights character while also being very aware how terrible he is. i reeeeaally wanted mikami's writing to look like wings from light's back, but it didnt really translate as well as i wanted it to -_-

everyone is giving something to light while the shinigami observe. Misa, her eyes and her book. Naomi her identity, (this may seem like an inconsequential moment in lights story but i think its soo important for showing how thin the line is for him getting caught, and how conniving he is. and also i like her) L is giving... himself. i cannot go into detail for this it'll get too long. Mikami giving his worship, the names he writes forming the wings of his god.

the bottom corner has a burning photograph of Light's family, accompanied with a blood stained hand print on their faces.
