Hey! I have to tell you all about this amazing app I came across today while looking through tarot creators’ accounts.
This app is called Labyrinthos Academy, from the creator of the Golden Thread tarot and Luminous Spirit Deck! It’s a matching activity app that teaches you the meanings of the 78 tarot cards, both right side up and reversed.
It’s completely free and the only commitment to the app is making an account in order to use it. From there, you choose whether you’re a witch, a wizard, or a mage (I’m assuming it’s female/male/non-binary), and you learn the meanings using a digital version of the Golden Thread tarot deck. Every time you pass a lesson, you get somewhere between 3-5 cards that you can study! As you complete more lessons, your little character levels up and gains some cute new attire.
I’ve been trying to learn tarot for such a long time, but everything was too messy and complicated for me. Labyrinthos Academy has been, by far, the easiest way for me to learn! The cards have an easy-to-read font and the illustrations match the adjectives so well that it’s easy to make the connection and remember.
It’s available for iOS and Android! And remember–it’s free! I’m in no way affiliated with the app or the tarot cards (nor their creator); I don’t even have a single tarot deck myself! But I wanted to share this so other witches who were struggling like me had a place to learn!

This is awesome.
One thing that I’ve learned is really small -
Pages are messengers. Seeing it as an invitation definitely binds that together for me.
Myself, though, I see Knights as the explorer type because of what they’re generally associated with - quests. I definitely can see Pages being an explorer type because, again, messengers, but it’s a grey area now that I look at it from this point of view.
I tend to struggle reading the court cards. The meanings tend to overlap for me and they all just seem to mean the same thing and I know that’s not the case. Does anyone have any advice on reading them?

Anon asked: I’m a new Tarot reader. Any advice?
You don’t need to steal your first deck or having it gifted by someone else It is perfectly okay to not use Rider Waite and purchase a different deck for yourself.
You won’t learn all the cards in one night. It is okay to ask your own cards for advice
There will be mean people who will convince you that you are reading Tarot wrong that you “have to” learn every esoteric meaning behind the cups, swords, pentacles, and wands.
Mean people will try to discourage you and have you believe that getting paid for your services is based purely on greed.
Don’t allow these bullies to have you question your worth You have the say so on what tarot reader you’ll be You’ll learn overtime what does and doesn’t work.
The relationship with your cards does not have to be explained. Take care of yourself and your needs too. Readings can sometimes leave you feeling drained.
You will learn and grow make plenty of “mistakes” Don’t forget that it’s perfectly okay to put the cards away and take a break.
Don’t forget to have fun while you learn Practice, Practice, Practice. Be your own authority. Read on your own terms.
And if for nothing else I want you to remember This is your journey Enjoy this Tarot adventure.

Hey you.
This was a mix of feel-and-pull and impulse. Was a bit difficult to do and I’m trying to make it less neutral so it sounds like a general reading - we know what it’s about though. If it makes no sense, please do let me know and I can pull again if necessary - don’t think twice about it if you feel like it’s not right, just let me know.
Feel free to go on anon if you want ♥
(Images to come in a bit. Need to get them on my computer. Have a snow day pic for now.)
Significator
Knight of Wands
Right now you’re at a bit of an impulsive approach or stance on things. While that can be a bit helpful, being all gung-ho and all that, impulsiveness can very easily lead to recklessness, risk-taking, and accidentally being a bit too headstrong in your decisions - it can cause you to be bossy or a bully, even if by accident. That’s not to say she’s all that bad, however. This Knight is also fiercely loyal to her friends and family and whatever is her creed. The look on her face may appear bored, but she’s in the middle of the desert as things are, so she’s focusing on her point of destination, possibly planning her route or thinking about the arrival. We don’t know where she’s going, but we do know she takes her business seriously - some may think she’s a stick in the mud (well, sand here), but she’s got a job to do and she knows she has to get it done.
Cards 1/2
King of Pentacles over Page of Swords
One thing I learned about Pages is that they are messengers. They are there to deliver the news, and this news they bring is something about information or problems. The Page could be there to deliver information or he’s there to spread and collect gossip. They like to talk and sometimes with this talk, it’s merely smoke and mirrors, not true blades that they carry. Considering the Merchant King, as I like to call him, is here to lend an ear, it’s kind of interesting. This guy is... Hm. While he’s stubborn and stoic, he’s also a bit of stingy, he likes to spend on status objects, in addition to being a hard worker, loyal, kind, and a few other redeeming qualities. The one thing he does not like: Negative attention. Make him stand out by embarrassment and he will be none too happy. It’s an almost unforgivable offense. He has worked hard for what he has and he has incredibly little tolerance for grievances. The Page must be wary to not upset this balance, but it may be too late in the position that the King has found the Page in. The King is a loving guy, keeps his own close and his nose and debts clean. The Page needs to check his steps here and be cautious.
Cards 2/3
Death
I know everyone freaks out about Death like (high-pitched voice) EW MY GAWD IT’S DEATH SOMEONE’S GUNNA DIEEEE but c’mon. it’s all change. Something has changed. It doesn’t mean it’s for good or bad. Change with the above cards, however, doesn’t look like a good thing has happened with our poor Knight. The Page has said something or the Knight has said something and it’s caused this change with the King. And likely he’s not happy with it. Death, as it itself is, is an incredibly neutral thing. It is neither bad nor good. For the most part we have to ride it out or see where it takes us before we can make our next step. Without change, we cannot grow, we cannot continue moving. To be blunt: This isn’t going to be easy, especially considering the King and the Page.
Cards 4/5
Ace and Two Wands. Reversed.
Normally with the Aces it’s the spark of something. For the Wands, it’s specifically for new energy. Here, we’ve found that there’s... nothing. It’s empty, hollow, and we can feel where it should be, and with this, we also find ourselves with a decision needing to be made with those two sticks. We know something needs to be done, but we can’t find our motivation.  Picture the Knight at a crossroads, knowing that one of them leads to an oasis and she badly needs water - she’s suffering from dehydration. She must make a decision, but she’s just tired and worn out and just needs to rest to get her head straight to remember. No, that’s a bad example, a bit too extreme (but still one nonetheless, so I leave it). How about this instead: The Knight is picking up supplies for the King. Does she go with the figs or the pomegranates? She needs to make a decision but she can’t, especially with it being a sale day. She has to make a choice before she loses the opportunity and both are gone. It doesn’t matter which she picks, but she can’t figure out which would be better. She needs to make a decision. If she does not, she has lost her opportunity and may cause offense by not doing so and arriving empty handed. A choice needs to be made, and soon. Time is short. It’s worse to be without an answer and cause grievance.

I'd love a reading, if you have the time :)
Hokai! Let’s try this again! (Jeez it took me ages, but I’m glad to have finally finished this x’D)
As always, feedback is appreciated ♥♥
The Queen of Wands helps you to bring in spring. This will likely be an interesting time for you as she can mean a few things.
There is definitely a lot of energy to be had with her, be it with the energy that a mother works with or that of a careerwoman. She’s enthusiastic and definitely one that knuckles down to get work done, be it with work or for family. The downside to this is that she can get more than a little focused on what she does. She can definitely turn into a mother hen or a workaholic, however.
For a lot of people, being so energy-driven can be a good thing, but then you do run the risk of tunnel vision. Mothers that get too involved want to sign their children up for everything and want them to do the best and try to oversee a lot of things in their children’s lives. For a working woman, this can manifest in working too many hours and striving for a constantly-forward approach to work - something that can definitely sour work relationships if she’s too focused on career path.
It’s a good thing to want to be involved and to do better and reach new heights, but… It’s also a good thing to remember to step back and take in the sights.
The working Queen sends you to the lovely ladies of the Three Cups in the summer. It looks like this is going to be a very… entertaining time of the year. One of which I hope you may not have social anxiety for.
The reason I say this, and I hope I haven’t made you worry, love, is that these women are all about celebrations for the lack of want. They bring news and joy of there being excitement and abundance. It could be that you get to look forward to an incredibly active and social summer, full of excitement, or that you’ll suddenly find that something has suddenly gone your way in a very big way.
From summer, these three happy ladies send you to the grove of Four Wands. However, things are in disarray as you find things turned upside down.
Four Wands generally mean that the foundations of something are rock solid, they’re the four corners of a foundation and everything’s on even footing. Flip that around and you’ll find that stability is not quite what it seemed to be and your center of gravity is off. Something’s not quite right as autumn comes around and I’d be cautious about any underlying issues.
Be wary you step on quicksand instead of solid ground.
Regardless of this, you manage to make your way from those pillars to a new Queen.
The Queen of Swords has decided to come to guide you as winter blows in. She is definitely a left-brained kind of woman and looks at the facts of things and offers advice as you need it. You won’t find many hugs from her, but instead words of wisdom and an outside view of what the situation is.
She can be seen as cold or detatched, but don’t misjudge her - she can and will challenge your mind, urging you to think and solve your puzzles as they come, ranging from your newspaper crossword to providing a steady hand with emergencies.
The thing to keep in mind as it grows colder at the end of the year? The Queen of Swords tends to focus on her strength, trying to help and guide with the knowledge she has (and thus gain more knowledge) and forgetting what others need emotionally.

*Waves.* Heyyo! :D Welcome to the community! The major advice is to just do. And don’t be afraid to ask for help! It doesn’t hurt to actually go to people, even if it’s just to ask them on Anon for help :3 If they don’t know they may know someone to tag :D
And it’s totally okay to have a dry spell, no need to worry :3 I don’t often touch my cards myself, though I stg this deck prefers it that way so she can stay pretty.
We’re nice, we don’t bite that often, and don’t be afraid to get creative! You can use a lot of things for tarot/oracle! I still would like to get a Netrunner deck just for reading :D And I also have a Madoka Magica playing card deck I want to test out :3
hey! I’m new to the tarot community, so reblog this so that I can follow you if anybody has any tips or advice, then please come and talk to me! I’d be more than grateful

@dandelion-witch
-_-;; I got distracted after work with a coworker then my mom fried my patience by accident. If I don’t get these four written up tomorrow, I’m going to scrap them and repull for you.
Not to mention the bit I had gotten started was eaten when I restarted Chrome D:
@dandelion-witch
I’ve got your cards pulled, but I’ll have to work on the typing-it-out part after work tomorrow ♥

@direrabbit Feedback is always appreciated, of course. It doesn't seem like this year will be that easy, but if you can knuckle down you will be able to get through it.
Spring brings a lot of change for you it seems. Spring generally brings change and rebirth, but with the Knight of Swords, change will happen pretty quickly. However, this card shows me a woman that's determined. She's gung-ho and ready to go. She almost appears to have some reservations or is holding back.
Knights tend to get right into the mess of things quickly, and while this one doesn't seem to particularly want to do something, she knows she has to and do it quickly as well. With her suit of reds and blacks and her mount and sword, she's well-defended and ready for anything. She just needs to hold the courage to keep going and not balk when it comes to things. She is rather clever when it comes to fights, she just needs to maintain the strength she has within.
Going into summer, our Lady Knight of Swords passes you to Death. Death is usually a nice card to see, as he brings about transformation and other metamorphosis, but however, he seems to have other plans in the works being upside-down.
He's decided to turn his head as the sun bears down. Things don't come to their needed end, they continue, trudging along to the same old tune. Things just... continue. Some would think this isn't all too bad, but think of a show that was supposed to end but just keeps on trucking out seasons. (You may know the one I'm referring to.)
After a time, Death passes off to coins as fall swings around.
Six Coins ring in the air. A person, this picture making it hard to tell if they're male or female, and thus very much so androgynous, is speaking with, and giving money to, beggars. They are generosity. Part of them doesn't seem to care, may even find it somewhat annoying. Six may be working with Death even, in that they are trying to help those that Death had ignored.
Something between summer and fall prompts a period a ignorance, a cold shoulder, something that makes developments halt. Finally fall comes around and with it Six has made the decision to help. They help in the only way they can and that's by this person giving what they have. There's also a slight smile hidden in the features here, so there's something about them that somewhat enjoys this, being able to help.
Summer and fall lead you to important decisions.
Winter, however, things will be rough.
As the cold comes, things change over to harder nights. Nine Swords warn of nights that will be long and things that seem to go bump will make you a little more nervous. This poor woman is warning you of what you may be already aware of. Anxieties, stresses, long nights, dwelling on issues.
However, with this card you are now aware of it so you can make steps for it.
It seems a bit rough, almost daunting, but everyone seems so... gentle and quiet. Almost like whispers guiding you to the right paths.
Keep your head about you and you'll traverse this year well-armed.

Oh wow! That’s really interesting to know! I’d definitely pay attention to your gut and see where it takes you as things start to warm up!
@fuguhui-8
Feedback is appreciated! I was able to understand most of these, but the last one about killed my brain @__@ I don’t often use this deck because it’s more of an oracle style, but my head kept bugging me to use the Pathfinders deck instead.
For the coming spring, the boar is guiding you. Think of the strength and determination that the wild boar are known for. With spring comes new opportunities, and this creature is here to remind you to not be fearful of any coming changes.
Be cautious however. You know the boar can be rather temperamental. Ignore the creature and you may find yourself on the wrong end of things.
In summer, the boar sends you to the elephant within it’s element. Patience, long memories, and family are all what binds the elephant together. In these three things comes it’s strength, and you’d do well to not forget them. This old friend knows what family means to many people, and the trials that come with it.
The elephant’s memory is long, and family is it’s binding tie. Quietly it will support you regardless of the direction things go under the summer sun. Remember your rock and you will have support.
Autumn and all it’s brisk weather leads you to the walrus and the seals. For some, this is a great time for creativity, and these creatures, living in two different worlds, can definitely lend you their help if you choose to accept it. Seals are known to be playful, but the walrus also does tend to have a slightly more aggressive side to it.
Things might get tense as it gets cooler, but tackle problems as they come by maintaining your cool and thinking outside the box.
Winter leads you to warmth and work with the dingos and dhole. This… is harder for me to read, simply because of my own comprehension level. This season may be either a time for you to shine, or one where you tread carefully as these creatures live in a duality. They can be loyal pets and wild animals, they threaten certain animals with extinction and yet they themselves are in danger of this.
Ultimately, however, these creatures do still enjoy playing and romping just like any other free-spirited dog. Just mind the teeth if things get too… excited.
