For me, the only way to get out of a fixation is to just keep going until I've exhausted it. Trying to stop myself from doing the silly little craft I'm doing is only going to waste more time, since I'll be spending the same time and effort trying to stop myself from doing the thing when it's more efficient to just let myself keep at it until I've successfully run it to the ground.

Now that I have broken free of the animation loop crafting, I'm back to my crafts junk pile and taking apart the broken fitted sheet that I meant to use for something. No idea what, yet. Might weave a basket out of the fabric. I have no use for a basket but I gotta catch my hands before the devil does.

My roommate thought she hated cooking and then she moved in with me and started using knives that were actually sharp and realized cooking is fun.
