Bricks and Buildings
For my 3rd proposal I think it would be really cool to showcase some of the amazing brickwork on the University of Arizona campus. Did you know that almost every single building on campus has brick as part of its architecture? And when the library was built, because it’s a public library, they wanted it to stand out on campus by constructing it with something other then the rich red brick color. The alumni association threw a fit saying that it didn’t stick to the tradition- so they laid the brick around the building instead.
The red brick is such a rich color and a significant representation of the desert. Brick can be laid in a variety of ways to give it a different design. To showcase the different ways bricks are presented on this campus would show the diversity yet unison we have here at the University of Arizona.

My Beautiful Home of Four Years.
I have found so much beauty at the University of Arizona. People think that Tucson is a dirty, run-down college town but little do they know is what a beautiful place the University is. As student we spend so much time rushing around campus, turning in papers, staying up all night studying, trying to get home and out of the heat as fast as possible. But a lot of us don't take the time to enjoy the beauty that surrounds us.
Most of my friends go to schools where it snows and has all sorts of weather. I am certain that I had the luckiest experience because of what a beautiful school I go to. Four years of college quickly flies by and before we can even appreciate the beauty that surrounds us those four years have flown by and we are slammed into the real world with real jobs.
This project allowed me to walk around campus and enjoy it for what it is, and what I have found is that I do not want to leave here. Tucson is my home, the University of Arizona is my home and I hope to get a job and then continue my education here at the U of A to get my masters... I thought I was lost but I had already found what I was looking for.

Life of An Art Student
For my first proposal, I thought that I could show the life of an art student. Some of the different projects, materials and hallways we pass through every day. I have attended the U of A for four years and it wasn't until my last semester of college that I even had a class in the art building.
Art school is totally different then any other kind of schooling I have ever had. There is freedom, creativity and the class periods are so much longer! It was an interesting experience being surrounded by kids who are art majors while I was simply exploring my curiosity of art and how it functions in our surrounding world. Art school sounds "easy" but unlike other classes, you can't bullshit an art class, you simply have to put in the time and effort to get the work done.

Four Years
Everyone told me college is the best four years of your life. When you are young, headed off to college and everyone is telling you how awesome its going to be, you assume it’s just a bunch of old people telling you that because they are just sick of the real world and would give anything to relieve their college days for just one more year.
For four years I’ve spent countless days walking to class with the sun in my eyes, climbed endless flights of stairs when running late to class and sleepless nights in the library cramming for exams.
While most people think of the Tucson as this hot, dirty, run down-college town, I never seemed to understand what they meant. I loved the hot summers, palm tree lined streets, and beautiful brick buildings. Every day that I spent wandering aimlessly around campus, I found something new and beautiful. Every day this place became more and more my home; The University of Arizona is my home.
Everyone told me it was going to be the greatest four years of my life, but no one told me how quickly it would be over…

The Best Day Ever
As a kid you do not have the means to really have “the best day ever” because its always on someone else’s terms, their money, their car…and it’s usually your parents. Imagine your 3 year-old-self with access to all of these things you have now. Money, a car, and friends that want to have fun with you. Ryan and Levi had what I imagined to be the best day ever. Happy Meals at McDonalds, playing with and buying a new toy from Toys R Us and a 2-hour unlimited pass at Funtastics for arcade games, go carts, and bumper boats! Because lets be honest… no matter what age, we all have our inner child just waiting to come out and play.

For my second proposal, I want to photograph my friend Devon who is an art major and is very artistic. I would like to cover her in paint and take photographs throughout the art building. One idea I have is to photograph her on the tables in the room where the tables are covered in paint and have her blend in with them. Another idea I have would be to photograph her in the wood and metal shop to show that art comes in a variety of forms and places.
I think that by photographing her in the same clothes and paint over her body will provide consistency throughout my photos and creative a cohesive series. She can hold various props such as paint brushes, canvases and various other art supplies.

My first proposal for project 2 is to show Ryan's inner child. Although he is 22 years old, he is a little kid at heart. I aim to show his youthfulness by taking him and his nephew, Levi (3 years old), to Chuck E Cheese and photograph them playing all day long. Shooting on the basketball hoops, racing cars, and showing all the tickets they win at the end of the day.
I think the bright lights and vivd colors throughout Chuck E Cheese will make for some awesome photographs. I think by allowing them to just have fun and play the games I will be able to capture a realistic representation of their youthfulness because it will be genuine.

"You Drunk Idiot"
Drinking alcohol often creates a false utopia. Life can feelgrand while under the influence but the truth is people do stupid things when they are drunk. “You Drunk Idiot” is a collection of photographs demonstrating the various “activities” that we do while under the influence of alcohol, often regretting or feel the repercussions the next morning… From drunk driving to texting an ex lover, stealing things that clearly are not yours to falling asleep on the floor because in that moment it is the most comfortable place in the world; what once was a feeling of utopia ultimately ends up as a dystopia a few short hours after all the "fun" has come and gone.
