Okay, I guess my last post was four days early. The deaths have skyrocketed! Hospitals are being overwhelmed. What I haven't heard is what the government is going to do about the crisis. Yes, I know vaccines are coming but the effects of that are months away according to the experts. Is this all a surprise? Was our recipe for solving this crisis really mask-wearing, hand-washing and social distancing. Why haven't we been training "intensive care aides?" It is clear that the next few months are going to be gruesome. A

I've been following the California Covid numbers as posted in the LA Times very carefully since May. Right now, there are nearly twice the number of people in the hospital as there were at the peak in August and early September. The average daily deaths is only slightly above the numbers that we were experiencing as the economy was opening back up. The number of new cases per day is about three times greater than the earlier peak. If logic prevails, then the number of deaths is going to skyrocket in the next month. Here is the question that nobody can answer: Why?
