Murphy is on his bland diet and is continuing to be a delight. He didn't want to go outside in the middle of the night as he was the sleepiest puppy. After he eventually did a wee he came and sat by me, not needing a poop. I waited until he told me off with a noise of annoyance - just wanted to go back to bed. Slept like a dream until this morning and then we had a little lazy time on the futon in the lounge. He's getting a bath/shower today which I think he's gonna love to bits as he's a complete water nut. Its lunch time soon so we'll see how the meat paste and antibiotics fare. Have started doing sketches for potential uni work and have been making sure to self care. My wonderful partner in dog ownership (and crime) has been super supportive. Andy and I have extended our family! Meet Murphy. He's a mini labradoodle (labrador x miniature poodle) and he will lick your face off given half the chance. Had us up before 6am but totally worth it. He has had many naps, treats, and cuddles from us and the neighbours, and is fond of hiding underneath the futon to nap and throwing his Kong around. Its food mix day for the @sentientgoblinbeanbags and I find myself wondering who has the better diet - me or them! Its them. For sure. I make a base mix using unprocessed grains, then tailor the processed grains, veggies, herbs, seeds, and protein for my boys as our lot are spread across a wide age group and have various health issues in their genetics we need to watch out for. Except the new lads - they're breeder rats so are nice and healthy. No wheat. No dairy (Walter is allergic to milk). Lots of vitamin C, and various nutrients they need (they also get a Dr Squiggles supplement in their water). Echinacea for the respie health, and the barley rings are enriched with linseed oil to help their coats stay soft and look after their skin. I think. And many cuttlebones because those things are cheap as chips from rat rations and so good for their teeth. Miles takes his to bed with him sometimes. I use the @isamurats recipe and my boys love it. Been quiet with the are stuff as we've been looking after this beautiful dude for the lovely Beresford family next door. He has all of the puppy energy and is adorable. Has been amazing at giving cuddles to help me through a brief mental health rough patch. Much love to @rachaelberesfordvoice @martinberesford @gracieroseberesford and Harriet. Your pooch is excellent. Today we're hanging out just the two of us while the fella is at work. I sense many cuddles. We had a sleepover with this incredibly well behaved pooch last night, courtesy of our lovely neighbours @rachaelberesfordvoice , Martin, @gracieroseberesford , and Harriet. His name is Rufus and he is the best dog boy. I can't say best boy ever because my rats will get jealous. Feels good to be up early and greeted by a ball of excited energy. Been unwell. A&E happened. Got a benign arrhythmia... I think that's how you spell it. Worrying but harmless for now. Gotta keep an eye on it and sort out a follow up with the doctor if it continues. Been working on a little embroidery for Louie in the meantime. Got his little footprints and some forget me nots coming along. Made some.pinbadges too.
