So they gave us 9 episodes of cute (in my heart) soulmate au pirate rom-com and in 10th episode they were like "nope, let's just destroy everything, gay ppl aren't used to being happy for too long, it would broke them" and now I'm just staring at my wall and questioning my life choices
AND I STILL THINK ABOUT WATCHING IT AGAIN
Maybe it's just error and in real 10th episode they have wedding, yeah, probably it's it
#our flag means death#ofmd#episode 10 is my villain arc#now i'm sad#so Izzy broke Ed and now he's edgy huh#im sure Batman would love his makeup

It's called gaydar and I think it's just stronger when they are also pirates, because damn, being pirate is already kinda gay bro
the most unbelievable thing about this show is that fucking everyone can just find each other this easily in the FUCKING OCEAN. LIKE THAT SHITS HUGE. YOU HAVE A DINGHY. these gay people have built in gps that tells them where everyone else is at all times i swear

. modern musketeers !
please ignore this while i stick my thoughts here instead of adding to my ever-growing note for this series, because i am going to cry if i try to make sense of my notes.
athos, aramis, and porthos are college students, and have their own apartment not too far away from the school
constance and anne live next door to them, and they’re usually rolling their eyes at the boys’ antics, because really, you’d think they’d have it together after getting together their freshmen year
athos is getting some kind of lit degree, probably for writing
aramis would either be getting a drama degree, some kind of arts degree, or psychology, as suggested by @privateerstudies
i have no idea what porthos is doing, same with anne
but constance definitely has a social based major!
the inseparables meet d’artagnan on the same day, but different times, but all in the same way
a comment was made, and this feral looking freshman looked them dead in the eye and said ‘fight me’
they get home from their classes, and while porthos and aramis are cooking dinner, one of them mentions the incident and surprise surprise, it happened to both of them
athos, who’s sitting at the counter because he’s banned from cooking, has also ran into the feral freshman
this is precisely the moment they decide to adopt d’artagnan
because they obviously need more chaos in their life, or another person in the kitchen, or another person to live in their apartment, or another person to get them into trouble
somewhere, constance and anne suddenly have the feeling that some terrible thing is about to happen
they’re absolutely right

I'm probably a bit predictable but Portamis Star Trek AU :D
My knowledge of Star Trek outside of Picard is abysmal. This was so hard, Orion why would you do this to me? I tried to google and you know how that usually turns out so trekkies please feel free to correct me
1. Aramis initially trained to be a Medical Officer but soon discovered that he was much better suited for Command.
2. Porthos' mother was a respectable officer in Starfleet (and still very much hale and hearty thank you very much) and he is proud to be following in her footsteps. Treville and Marie-Cessette du Vallon were colleagues
3. The name of their ship is Alexandre Dumas
4. They once did a dramatic adaptation of The Count of Monte Cristo on the holodeck. Porthos played the titular Count, Edmond Dantès, while Aramis played his rival, Fernand Mondego, because everyone thought it would be hilarious. It was.
5. D'Artagnan was very confused after discovering that the always bickering Flight Control Officer and Chief of Security are actually a couple.
(Yes, Aramis is a pilot. Did I let STP influence me? Of course, I did, thank you very much)
Edit: Because I forgot it said "5+ headcanons" 🤦
6. Athos once caught them on the holodeck shooting melons off each other's head using antique pistols they acquired from god-knows-where. He went back to his quarters pretending he saw nothing
Based on this ask

Portamis pirate AU (◔‿◔)
So my pirate knowledge is all based on Black Sails (lol) so I'm using that somewhat as a base for this!
So, Porthos, Aramis, and Athos are all members of Captain Tréville's crew of the ship The Silver Musket & the newest addition to their crew is d'Artagnan the (not) cook (he had a very bad day and just didn't wanna die when his ship was boarded by pirates)
Porthos is the son of an escaped slave; Aramis was banished from his country (Spain? France? Idk) after he was found out being with a man. They met at Nassau which is The Silver Musket's base of operations
During their free time, Aramis and Porthos tend to go for little adventures around Nassau
Aramis has a complicated relationship with his faith because his countrymen used religion to justify banishing Aramis even though Aramis is convinced that God created all the ways to love and thus did not make Aramis a sinner just because he also falls in love with men
Porthos' mom lives in a nice little cottage on Nassau and often hosts Porthos and Aramis (and sometimes also Athos) between missions
Once The Silver Musket encountered a ship carrying one of the people who banished Aramis and the man recognised Aramis. He tried to beg his way out of imprisonment but didn't live to regret it after he made the mistake of insulting Porthos
