‘Why is trending so weird’ because of tag spam. Because people (and bots) are tagging like it’s Instagram.
This is spam. It’s against TOS and it throws trending completely out of whack, along with being wildly annoying.

ADHD Witch Tips
We need more adhd witch tips so here, have these. These are the things I have learned and seen done over the past 3 and a bit years of practicing witchcraft. As always, if you have anything to add, please comment them and I'll add them to the list with credit to you and a link to your blog!
Make witchy playlists with intention. Music is the most accessible way of doing magic in my opinion, especially if you're using spells that already exist. You can listen to these while working, traveling or just doing things around the house. If you sing along then you're adding to the manifesting power of the playlist!
Use really large spell candles so that you don't have to make a new one everytime you want to do a spell. I used to have 1 really big protection spell candle that I would light daily. Not having to make a new candle every time made me so much more likely to practice
Learn to meditate. I know, I know, hear me out. This is less of a witch tip and more of a mental health thing. You can meditate while colouring in, listening to music, cleaning, going for a walk. You don't have to sit down with your legs crossed. Mediation is an important skill that none of us do regularly enough.
stop caring about aesthetics. Are they nice? yes! absolutely! but unless it makes you more likely to practice then it's not worth it. caring too much about how your craft looks can also lead to burn out.
Be aware of your energy levels. Burn out is a serious issue among the neurodivergent witch community. Rest and pacing yourself is just as important as actually practicing.
Audio books <3333333
Try to combine your hyperfixation and witchcraft practice. This could mean using sigils in fanart or dedicate your writing to a deity.
Use hearth craft as a way to motivate you to clean your home or to cook meals/eat.
Have affirmations on your phones home screen so whenever you unlock your phone you reminded of your intentions

The Barbie Movie is confused -- and it is confused on purpose, because it can't actually acknowledge the role that capitalism and white supremacy play in the patriarchal system that it wants to give itself credit for acknowledging. And so the film introduces patriarchy as a force with no agent or system behind it.
Ken, an oafish goof is able to find the concept of patriarchy and transmit it to the entirety of his society simply by learning about it and speaking about it to his fellow Kens. There is no use of force, no political organizing (notably, the Kens try to take over the political system after they have already taken hold of the culture), no real persuasion even -- simply by hearing about patriarchy the women in Barbieworld somehow become brainwashed by it.
This means we never have to really see the Kens as genuine antagonists, we can still laugh at their bizarrely crammed-together multiple dance numbers and forgive them when they, like the women, are freed of the patriarchy simply by women speaking about the fact that sexism exists. Both the origins of patriarchy and the solution to it is as simple as an individual person telling their story.
The CEOs that run Mattel in the Real World in the film are similarly cartoonish and devoid of real agency. They're even portrayed as generically interested in the idea of Barbie being inspiring to girls. The movie can't even acknowledge their profit motive, and it can't make any of the men running the company look too powerful or even too morally suspect -- but the film does still want to have Barbie encounter sexism in the real world and grapple with the harm "she" (the consumer product, and not the social forces and human beings that created her) has supposedly done.
In the Barbie Movie, patriarchy is a genie in a bottle, and no one is to blame - except maybe Barbie herself, since the movie spends a significant amount of time discussing how she is responsible for giving women unrealistic beauty standards.
And so Barbie is depicted as both sexism's victim and sexism's fault. She's dropped into a patriarchal world that the film acknowledges has a menacing, condescending quality -- but the film can't even have an underlying working theory of where this danger comes from, and who had the power to create this patriarchy in the first place, because that would require being critical of Mattel and capitalism.
And in the film, ultimately the real world with all its flaws and losses and injustices is still preferable to Barbieworld, because you get to have such depth of feeling and experience and you get a vagina, so how bad could really be? And hey, when you think about it, the Barbieworld is just an inversion of the real world, isn't it? A world with women in power is just reverse sexist, so it was justifiable for the Kens to want to take over, and what does it say that all things being equal Barbie still would prefer to leave behind her matriarchy and join the patriarchal capitalist world? That's the real world. Real world is struggle and sexism and loss and pain and capitalism and death and we must accept all of it but it's worth it..
It's not that I'm surprised the film's a clarion call for personal choice white feminism and consumer capitalism. I just expected the call to be a little more seductive or in any way coherent. I wanted to have frothy fun, and instead I was more horrified by the transparency of its manipulation than I was by even the most unsettling moments in Oppenheimer.

why are you microwaving carbonated drinks that feels wrong.
IDK, most people hate it, but I'm also the person that purposely lets coke go flat because I like it better flat so me and carbonated drinks have a weird relationship.

Genuine good-faith question: In your opinion, is there any occult current or practice that can be worked with ethically? It seems like everything has some brand of revisionist history or appropriation or just absolutely vile bigotry behind it, and while the things you call out are generally not in my interest area (my practice is incredibly idiosyncratic and I'm kind of building my own thing slowly with a couple of friends) the sheer amount of absolute dogshit present in occultism is enough to make me— and probably others— wonder if it's worth it
Yeah, the kind that doesn't get attached to beliefs and dig in its heels whenever something contradictory information comes along. The problem with a lot of this stuff generally isn't like, the specific techniques people are doing, but the beliefs that get attached to them and become dogma. Like demonolators who refuse to let go of antisemitic lore or the belief that they just can't work with demons without appropriating from Judaism, or people who get so attached to their UPGs that they start believing in conspiracy theories sooner than admit that they were wrong, or at least, not objectively correct.
When it comes to appropriated practices or whatever, you generally just have to dig around a bit to find something similar from a culture that isn't closed. Like smudging is closed, but smoke cleansing is not.

Personally? I don't mind it when people say "bless you" or "blessed be" or "my god(s) is/are blessing you"! I even like when someone blesses me in earnest out of the blue. I think it's nice. But I don't have any religious trauma or anything like that (which is genuinely lucky for me), so I have exactly no baggage surrounding blessings/prayers. So long as it's not like, "I'm Praying the Gay Away For You" or some condescending shit like that, I usually at least have no issues accepting it. More often, I'll be touched! Honored, even!
But don't get pissed off at others who get annoyed about it or reject the blessings!! You may think you're doing a nice thing, but it's significantly nicer to ask, "Hey, do you mind if I give you a little blessing and/or prayer?" or "What's your stance on unsolicited blessings and/or prayers?"
They'll either say "no, thank you" or "sure" or "it's fine by me" or they may ask for specifics about the blessing and state that it depends.
Maybe someone doesn't want blessings from gods they don't worship. Maybe someone can't accept blessings from gods they don't worship. Maybe someone is uncomfortable with any kind of religion or religious activity. Maybe someone only wants a specific type of prayer or blessing. Maybe someone simply doesn't believe in blessings or prayers and doesn't want to participate in your religious moment. Maybe someone just doesn't want to be blessed.
It literally doesn't matter. By and large, people will appreciate the question. Assuming is garbage. Don't assume. Be respectful. Ask first.

I don’t have children so take this with a grain of salt but I hate when you can tell people like the concept of their children more than their well-being. Parents like the concept of an all-beige nursery that’s photogenic more than they care about the development of their kid’s brain. They like the concept of a cutely dressed kid in designer clothes more than they care about their comfort and personal desires. They like the concept of a child who never eats poorly more than they care about the happiness that can come from a child eating some candy now and then. People need to stop treating their kids like little dolls

i may have become slightly obsessed with shrimp🦐 - the way they just pitter patter their lil legs and float around the tank is mesmerising - any advice for someone just dipping their toe in the aquarium hobby?
"may have become slightly obsessed with shrimp" hey me too
i love Aquarium Hobby but it sucks how steep the learning curve is. here are some things i wish i knew when i was depressed/homesick/heartbroken/in college/stressed out of my mind and couldn't keep my fish alive:
don't listen to anyone in a big box store. go to a local aquarium shop. or online forums.
bigger tank is better. a larger volume of water is easier to keep parameters stable in #chemistry
don't change your filter media. it's a lie. every time you change it you are restarting your cycle
go get one of those giant cut to size aquarium media foam block things. cut a piece out and stick it in your filter. now you have an instant cycle if you ever have to set up a new tank in a hurry
old credit cards are the world's best algae scrapers
stable water parameters are more important than textbook perfect ones (this is for like, pH and hardness. your ammonia readings should still be 0)
low tech plants like mosses, java ferns, anubias, etc will make your life easier and your fish happier
seachem prime is hands down the best water conditioner on the market
test strips are fine. they aren't as fine tuned as a liquid tests but if your tank is cycled and stable they're enough to alert you when something goes wrong
when you put someone else in charge of your fish when you go on vacation, put their food in a pill box. now they don't have to guess how much a "small pinch" is
do not buy a fish that cannot fit in your tank fully grown. the voice in your head saying "oh i'll upgrade before my beloved goldfish gets too big" is the devil talking
i hope this is helpful and i hope your aquarium journey goes...swimmingly. i also hope you don't unfollow me because of that joke
