I'm cackling like a witch here and losing my mind 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

SO, any of you guys know this new hot anime Orb: On The movement Of The Earth? (it's good, go watch it)

Becasue I gave it a shot after learning that it is set in medieval Poland. Mostly to see how the names will be handled (but I stayed for the story). For the most part I have little to no complains, but two names made me lose my damn mind (which I say in the most affectionate way, btw).

The names in questions are:

OKJI/OKUJI/WHATEVER OTHER WAY PEOPLE WRITE DOWN HIS NAME LIKE -- when I say I almost cried when I learned what his actual name is I am not joking XD I found out about him after episode one, when I went on a search for more named characters. I checked the wikia, learned a spoiler I wished to unlearn immediatly and also found out two names that made me nervous.

Okuji was the first one, given the character's place in the story. He's a dark-haired male with a weird name -- I got scared that after a solid start, the author decided to create a charcter closer to japanese sensibilities. But then he appeared in third(?) episode and I actualy screamed, because what I heard the VA say was "Okuji" what I saw the subtitles say was "Oczy" and I immediatly opened wikipedia (this time) to see it written down and, once again, "OCZY"! O C Z Y my guys! I double-checked the translator and the phonetic writing said "Oktzy" or sth in this vein. My poor man is named literally Eyes and I cannot deal with it the human way XD it makes sense, in the most hamfisted way possible, because the main visual metaphor used alongside his characer are actual eye-balls but in the sea of actual names and surnames he is a beacon of hilarity, being named after a body part. I love it <3

The second name is BADENI -- here, after I learned my lesson with Oczy, I was thinking it's another name that got remixed by japanese phonetics. I was betting on a Bernard being the actual name. But, lo and behold, our man appears in the episode and both the VAs and he subtitles say BADENI. I screamed again, then went on another google search: IT'S A SURNAME! Actual surname. Why I didn't think about it sooner? We already have Potocki and Nowak whom we know solely by their surnames. Somehow I compeletly slipped my mind that Badeni can be an actualy, registered surname. This time the amusement stems from my own errors XD

I thought myself smart for preparing the paragraph I was working with to not forget stuff... and then I forgot the setting! 😂😂😂😂😂 Just before I posted it, I checked the chapter again and realized that. its. supposed. to. be. dark! and raining! hahahaha. Thank god just playing with colors and adding rain was enough, because I promise you, I WOULD be starting the backgrounds from scratch 😂😂😂😂

I'm cooking at least one new thing... over 15 hours into it and I'm cackling at my naivety that I thought I will finish it in no time 😂 clearily I haven't drawn for far too long, because I completely forgot how slow it can be at times (or it's so slow because I'm rusty -> that actually sounds better 😂) if anybody still remebers me: HI!
