The theme of my Tumblr page is chaos vs order. Art is all about perspective and the way you perceive things. The chaotic things could look like order to one person and vice versa. All the art works are connected by each having energy which acts like a bridge between order and chaos. In other words every picture has their own energy they give off, both positive and negative. With these two energies one would be stronger than the other. Based on the person that energy could either be the chaotic vibe or the feeling of order. Like how you could look at a painting of a battle and view it as chaotic or look at that same painting and instead see it as the order of an army doing their job and what needs to be done. This is what I mean when I say it’s all about perspective.

I really enjoy the way this Nightlife painting was made and I think it fits my theme very well. When I look at this picture I see a mixture of chaos and order. Chaos because the movement makes me feel like the party could get wild and out of hand but order also because in the moment of the picture is a sense of a lot of people having organized fun. Further down is the Ceremony in a Cathedral piece. I chose this because in my eyes it is the perfect picture to describe order. It has the sense of needing to be on your best behavior and following the system. The third art work I’ve decided to talk about representing chaos is the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. It made me feel like the end of the world and people not caring about hurting others in order to prevail.
