so i have been thinking about link click s2 and

possible spoilers warning for those who haven't watched yet

if we take the quote about "using the last chance" and "returning to the beginning" very seriously and look at the shots of s1ep3 where we see a basketball ball and then it changes to lu guang's hands and lu guang is sitting at the table i believe it all could make sense and by that i mean lu guang's last time travel was to the very fist time he met xiaoshi (their basketball game) because we saw lu guang sitting at the same table and clapping to go back in time after xiaoshi's death:

and omfg. imagine your best friend lover your closest soulmate dies and you go back in time risking everything and it doesn't work and you do it again and again you go further and further you rewind days weeks months and years and finally your last opportunity to change the future and save that person who is so dear to you is rewinding everything back to the moment you first met each other. imagine remembering again EVERYTHING you went through with that person for the sake of saving whom you are remembering that, becoming attached and getting used to them in your life again and maybe twice more; appreciating them even more because you really did miss them. but at the same time not knowing whether after these memories there will be new ones. imagine living most of your life with them again without being completely sure that all this time will not go to waste and this repetition of life with them will not rub more salt in the wound with the next and already irreversible death of them happening despite your attempts. and lu guang may not even have to imagine because he had been through this hell.
