It's hard to come by a good blueberry flavored cereal but this interesting twist on a personal favorite is one to be reckoned with. Since its introduction, Kelloggs' Special K line has proven to be a success in the cereal market, luring the weight conscious, middle-aged women towards cereal: a breakfast food that is usually reserved for children. Donald Glover (@ChildishGambino) said it best when he described Kix as being "pretty good, but you know what I really want." I agree that the original Kix is pretty good, but this honey variant takes it up a notch and to complete Donald's analogy (youtube.com/watch?v=Oj7j4pSANfE), while Kix is second base, Honey Kix isn't an attempt at an in the park home run. It's more like sliding safely to third: risky but not too risky. It retains the conservative nature of the original but takes it a touch further and nails it by being sweet enough and healthy enough. Chocolate and marshmallows. The dynamic duo of sugary cereals. If there's one thing we can all agree on, it's that the marshmallows were far better than the actual cereal part of the original Lucky Charms. However, this chocolate variation has the underdog rapidly closing in on the favorite with a chocolatey flavor comparable to that of Cocoa Puffs. After several failed attempts of trying to find a box of Count Chocula last October, Lucky the Leprechaun comes in clutch, pulling through where my favorite vampire fell short. While I'm still partial to the Count's chocolate and marshmallow concoction, these Chocolate Lucky Charms fill a void that I thought would exist until monster season. In honor of #NationalCerealDay this is my all time favorite cereal. I'm a huge fan of Post's pebbles line so any new variety they add to it is a must buy. I've never been disappointed with any new types of pebbles but none can replace the one that started it all. Whether it's the distinct pebbles texture or the unique bright colors that set this one apart from others, I think the best part about Fruity Pebbles is the intriguing fruity flavor. The taste that Fruity Pebbles possesses may have seemed risky at first but after over 40 years in the making, it has proven timeless. Happy #CerealDay everyone! I remember being a young boy. My Saturday mornings consisted of hardly anything other than a bowl of cereal, cartoons and video games. Upon entering adolescence, the cartoons may have turned to sitcoms and video games were replaced by hours spent on the internet upon, but cereal was the one thing which remained constant throughout. However, there was one cereal that became absent as I got older. Fast forward to March of 2014. Netflix has just added the first season of Pokémon to their unparalleled streaming service's roster, so naturally I've been watching it and it reminds me of the good old days when 151 Pokémon was more than plenty. And 20 years after its initial release, I still possess the ability to make anyone's life a living hell in Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo on Super Nintendo. Lo and behold, as if it was waiting all this time to reappear, I have finally been able to come across a box of the beloved Rice Krispies Treats cereal. Post gives us the strangest cereal I have ever tried with this very bizarre variant of the pebbles line. As if it's pink, red and purple pebbles weren't enough to make for weary consumers, Poppin' Pebbles also contains green "Poppin' Pieces" that give an effect reminiscent of Pop Rocks. While fizzing cereal likely seems disgusting to most, the one line that could master it, does just that. Post is always willing to step outside of the box when it comes to their "modern stone age family" endorsed line of cereal and make products that really POP!!!! while others just mildly snap and crackle. While this is certainly not your grandmother's cereal, it's perfect for anyone looking for a more adventurous breakfast and Pebbles fanatics everywhere. #CerealOfTheDay #COTD #CerealMonth #PoppinPebbles

When you can take a cereal, offer it in a number of different flavors, a few "bite size" variations, and an entirely new cereal with "Crunch" at the end of the name, and the original still stands strong, you have a classic cereal on your hands. Hence the case with Frosted Mini Wheats. It's unique texture is what sets it apart from others, along with just enough sweetness to make everyone happy. As good as it is, it has two things everyone should know before eating it: 1. Always pour a bowl with milk, never eat it dry. If eaten straight from the box, it might ruin your opinion of them entirely. 2. For a more pleasurable cereal experience, eat them with the white side facing your tongue. I've never been disappointed with anything Cap'n Crunch has ever had to offer and Oops! All Berries is no exception. Quaker answers the age old question (and my prayers) with this one, showing just how good a box of straight up crunch berries really is. While I love the original Crunch Berries, this variation is an interesting change of pace, as it's the same cereal sans the yellow, roof-of-the-mouth-slicing rectangles. The Special K line has numerous different varieties, and while most are pretty bland, others can be surprisingly bold, such as this chocolate almond variant which happens one of the best in the line. Kelloggs' housewife driven cereal line always shines when they introduce new special edition varieties. The chocolate strawberry version was a huge success and this one is just more evidence. What I like to think of as the less popular cousin of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Golden Grahams doesn't get anywhere near the amount of attention it deserves. While it is actually older than its Cinnamon flavored counterpart, Golden Grahams is a highly underrated cereal, featuring a whole lot of magnificent honey taste in such small squares. In episode 19 of the 5th season The Office (U.S. version), an episode titled Golden Ticket, Michael Scott asked for a golden ticket idea and Andy Bernard was completely right when he said "Golden Grahams." A variation of a variation, Honey Nut Cheerios Medley Crunch delivers, packing more than just everyone's favorite O shaped cereal in one box to really shake things up. One of Cap'n Crunch's finest creations of all time, PB crunch is potentially the greatest peanut butter flavored cereal of all time. Come to think of it, it could be the best peanut butter flavored anything of all time! With spherical cereal pieces that give the perfect amount of the Cap'n's signature crunch, this cereal is simply a pleasure to eat. The third cereal in the Cap'n Crunch line to ever hit shelves (the first was obviously the original, the second was Crunch Berries), Peanut Butter Crunch still stands strong today, assisting the Cap'n in his conquest of the cereal market. Hey Quaker, can we get a Cap'n Crunch's Peanut Butter Crunch flavored peanut butter sometime in the future? I think that would kick ass and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I honestly didn't expect much out of this variation of Cheerios before I tried it, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this is one delicious cereal. A lot of people saw this one coming for today. I think it's safe to say that Lucky Charms is the number one marshmallowcereal of all time, and even though the toasted oat cereal pieces aren't really up to par, only Lucky the Leprechaun's hearts, stars, horseshoes, clovers, blue moons, pots of gold, rainbows and red balloons can make up for it. I'm aware that there is an all green marshmallow version released specifically for today, but I decided to go with the OG.
