manifesting nice sucks deeply as a person. he may hold up a facade in the upcoming episodes but the fact his hobbies are "real estate, stock investments, and redevelopment projects" is deeply suspicious. to have those be your sole hobbies/interests? i know he was an avid supporter of crypto. we see him do an ad for housing by treeman corp in episode 1. he's the reason why housing isn't affordable right now.

So many questions and theories running under our mine. Did Vortex orchestrate the assasination? Or was he simply there for his own agenda? Was Vortex and Sheng friends before turning into a bitter friendship? Or had they always been rivals with minimum respect for each other? Vortex seemd to have always known Sheng has an alien baby... but he never seem to do anything about it until this point... or pehaps he doesn't know?

she either a. gets kidnapped fr or the spotlight organization gets a lookalike </33. lin ling would be able to recognize it up close but otherwise...it's pretty convincing. i do think treeman would be able to wave away the identity theft pretty easy and put out a story that nice died via overdose (as is common in the industry) and they could push lin ling as a new star (while really forcing him to become their bloodhound as well in order to keep an eye on things that could threaten the company).

yeah!!! i like to envision him snooping around and dodging getting married LOL. he is an eligible bachelor but i think the whole "getting married and having children" is deeply unappealing to him. i think itd be grand to pair him with a spinster though , , someone who was raised outside of a high-class environment but is no less quick-witted and cunning, , ,

i really do love him...thinking about how he'd started making short films with his action figures as a kid and found solace in the glitz and glamour of superhero movies...he's probably done ad work for moon as well so they'd have a slight bit more of a rapport in this au than in canon.

tbh i may be biased towards putting the tbhx characters in mystery settings since i've been reading/watching the apothecary diaries as of late, but i digress.

for pi! lin ling, im thinking he may have had a few clients, but given his young age, he's taken advantage of more and has been stiffed by an agency he joined in order to get his name out there. (there's only so much you can do as someone new to the scene with no references).

in this au moon is still a public figure, but she's a movie star rather than a hero. he'd found comfort in watching her films for years at this point, and had probably put in more time researching her than some of his actual targets lol.

but after he's fired by his boss (after he had a suspicion she was going to be implicated in some scheme and had requested to be permitted the freedom to investigate her), he ends up on the roof of a 2nd rate hotel, debating taking his own life. he's worked hard, but he's admittedly lacking in the connections needed to start off on his own. there's not much left for him, really.

he doesn't seem to be alone in that train of thought. of all people, nice appears.

and nice, the movie industry's rising darling, partner of moon goes and walks off the roof.

miss j and her crew like in canon, and lin ling ends up replacing nice. nice had a premiere to attend in a month after all, and his fame's not nearly big enough for his death to make an impact in the industry. not really.

tbh i think due to lin lings skills as an investigator, he's able to pick up Nice's quirks and habits pretty quickly. ill have to think more about this au but feel free to send more asks <3 honestly im also considering a pi! enlighter au, but i'm also quite taken with the idea of him running a column of gossip in a regency au (think lady featherington from bridgerton) so theres that too!

tbh now i'm thinking about cameraman! lin ling in an actor! au where the other heroes are actors and the like LOL

I love the theory behind the hero cards and their connection to tarot card meanings, it makes a lot of sense.

But there’s something about the cards that’s been bugging me a little. If anyone understands it, please explain it to me.

Why is Ghostblade’s card the only one with different numbers in the bottom right and top left corners? All the other heroes have their number mirrored on both ends, except for him. And guess what? His card shows the number 4 (his own) and number 6 (Luo Li’s).

Also, is the World Earth Day celebrated on April 22nd because that's when the Downfall incident happened?
