Its so easy to not do things when you can get the dopamine by watching other people do those things, but gosh does is slowly poison you and your soul. How much do I spend in the fields of boredom, the birthplace of imagination?

trying to live life like streaming and other instant access media does not exist is freeing. why stare at the sea of shows and films that i could watch when i can continue watching something i know i enjoy and have on dvd. trying to use my phone purely as a 'phone' as well is a whole other beast and its awful how things are made to steal our attention from us these days.

i have being monitoring my phone usage for the past week and managed to get my screen time down to an hour or less a day. it genuinely feels like i have unlocked new time in the day like i have time to do whatever i want. i have actually been playing my backlog of video games (although that could be seen as replacing screen time with screen time), i am relearning the guitar and spending way ore time with people. i do still wish i could use a dumb phone though. just have to make it through uni then i can live my low tech dreams
