It’s a true sign of how much Matt loves Mello that he doesn’t try to talk him out of his batshit crazy kidnapping plan. Though they haven’t discussed it, Matt knows that Mello doesn’t think he’s gonna make it back from this one, maybe doesn’t intend to. They don’t discuss how they could disappear together, drop off the map, let kira be somebody else’s problem. Hell, Matt knows a guy who could get them fresh passports and visas to anywhere within 48 hours. But Matt also knows that Mello would rather die trying than live and know that he could have acted and didn’t - his pride wouldn’t let him, and neither would his morality, grey as it might be. Matt knows that to love Mello is to let him do this. To help him do this. So he loves him, and on the morning of the 26th, they don’t say goodbye.

spent most of my day either wanting to sleep or tweaking plot things of my webcomic. I havent touched its script for soooo long, it feels so good to go back to it. 2024 was a huge hiatus and i'm starting to feel good enough to go back to it.

What she means: Matt was literally made for Mello. His sole existence was so that Mello wouldn't be lonely and Mello had Matt as basically his only tie to real human relationships. When Matt died Mello followed a matter of mere minutes later. Mello only had to be really lonely for an hour because otherwise Matt was always there, even when he wasn't. And in turn Matt was the only person Mello ever tried to protect. Ever wanted to keep safe and away from the ugliness of the Kira case. When everyone else was expendable, Matt mattered. They were each other's everything and I'm mentally ill

An anon earlier expressed concern about me calling problematic things okay just because it's toxic yuri, and I realized that I was sending the entirely wrong message to my readers. I apologize for this oversight, and would like to make some things clear.

To that end I want to clarify that I ALSO support problematic kinks when it's toxic yaoi. I support every fictional character's right to be in sexily toxic situations, not JUST women. Thank you for bringing this to my attention and I will endeavor to do better in the future.

you, artist online. somebody has referenced you in conversation irl by your online handle and somebody else knew who you were talking about. somebody has kept up closely with your posts for a period of time like their morning paper. somebody found a music artist because of you, thinks of you when they hear them on the radio. somebody followed you years ago and remembers you randomly even though they can't find you. somebody has screenshotted and saved your posts and sent them in discord servers. somebody has made your drawings their lockscreen, added them to their favorites folder and looked at them when they're going through some shit, has sent them to their best friend and sparked conversation in private chats. your art in particular could be the source of a keen sense of nostalgia for someone. maybe they've even printed out your images using their home printer and taped them to their bedroom wall and they look at it every day and they never even told you. isn't that scary? isn't that awesome? remember this well.
