quitting art aside from what I want to do for myself. ai has destroyed any market, and I do not want to have to be an influencer or internet personality for attention. I sincerely just want to paint whatever I want and live my life with more regular income and less stress. Thanks for the support.
#i actually feel very relieved making this decision#every job opening is for a super senior mega top position#all the studios are closing#i hate ai and i think it is a terrible waste of literally every resource available#while also destroying millions of jobs#which means im sure ai will thrive and never go away because we cant have good things#i thought maybe i could figure it out and keep going but i really dont care#i would be happier not having to compete with every other entry and mid level artist#while constantly looking for work 24/7#and working literally all day and night#im just done.#theres a part of me thats sad but i will still paint for myself and thats all i care about anymore#i also cant get a job as an engineer in my area#so im going to go back to school and get some continuing education#Hopefully if i can redirect into another career#i can find more appropriate and regular work that is safe and moderately well compensated#im due in like. 6 weeks. i really just need something more consistent and art is not doing it#i may do commissions again if things ever clear up with ai#but i doubt that will happen#not even sure if i will continue to post#i dont want my time and effort used by some loser to train their ai

#my art#im going to conquer my fear of posting.#all this is glazed babbbyyyyyy#the portrait of the lady on the left was a painting but I was trying to paint mix digitally and that was heinous soooo you get sketch#hopefully I'll bust out the real paints and use some of the canvas I've been hoarding#because mixing paint digitally is unlike any struggle I've had before lol#you just need to pick that shit when you're painting you can't mix digitally#the tools DO NOT work the same#10 minutes on the portraits#15 on the horse landscape#20 on the canyon

today's studies! 2 from classes and 2 x 15 min warmups. (I couldn't get rid of the weird bubble on the portrait studies no matter what glaze settings I used. :/ if anyone has any tips pls let me know)
I haven't posted much in a long time because I was ashamed of having the ups and downs in quality from a lack of art education and experience, but there's nothing wrong with needing work on my fundamentals. I want to be more consistent about posting studies AND finished work. it's hard to work through in my head and heart, but it's ok to not be perfect. I am trying to work through that mindset rather than stagnate indefinitely. looking forward to having fun and having some learning experiences.
#I am in study mode#work is kicking my ass but it's good to learn and fail#hopefully I can post some original work soon#I have requests in a list#I will work through them#even though they are just requests I am so scared people will hate them that it was hard to work at all#I spent a lot of time crying while i worked and fell into a deep depression as I recognized my weaknesses#and how ai could very easily surpass me in terms of consistency and quality#but that's not a reason to quit and I am going to work through this#it scares me and i still cry and feel deeply depressed#but it's going to be ok#i have some original work wips that i want to show that really show off how much i have learned#but i am so afraid of ai that i will not share them until they are finished and glazed#i am not terribly happy with glaze as it still kind of messes up my pictures but it is worth it to do i thin#*think#i forgot to nightshade these but alas#my art

I know Oda consistently draws post-timeskip Zoro as malnourished and dehydrated to show all those muscles, but I legitimately think soft strongman beefcake is peak Zoro design. You know Mihawk was telling Zoro about macros and micros, proteins, rest days, recovery meals, and through sheer force of will alone forced Zoro to stop substituting alcohol for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
I will never be convinced post-ts Zoro is anything but this
honestly i think he’d look amazing with a body like Sasaki, but conservatively.. he should be a barrel
