My goddaughter loves 5sos…. She just recently turned 3 years old. This is what I got her for her birthday (because she asked for it). And this was her reaction.

#21 (the emergency contact one) with any of the boys? -maybe you meant to put down your bff's # as your emergency contact but were 1 number off and by chance ended up putting down what happened to be one of the boy's private phone #?
“Y/N,” A voice called from behind you. You turned your head to the side to see your boss coming towards you with a white piece of paper in her hand, “you didn’t put down an emergency contact.” She halted when she was in front of you and hand handed you the paper with a small sticky note in the shape of an arrow where you needed to fill in the empty space.
“Oh! I’m sorry, here let me just fill this out real quick.” You pulled out a pen from the front desk and scribbled down your best friend’s number, handing it back to your boss quickly.
“Thank you, keep up the excellent work.” You smiled at the praise and continued with your task at hand. You had only been at your new job for a few months but you were  loving every second of it. There were times that it could be stressful and even a little dangerous but you knew it was the right fit for you.
The day finished out quickly with relatively quiet customers and you packed up your bag and left for the day, calling a quick goodbye to your boss and co-worker.
Opening the door to your small apartment you tossed your bag on the floor next to the door and headed straight to the shower, turning on your music and letting the warm water relax your tight muscles. After your shower you brushed your teeth and hopped into bed, curling the blankets around you tightly. You opened Instagram and scrolled for a while before plugging your phone in and drifting off to sleep quickly.
The next day started early and you got ready half asleep. Despite the early start you got to work with your morning coffee in hand and a bright smile on your face. You took your normal post and got to work.
“Y/N can you please help me back here?” Your co-worker called from the back. You hurried back to where she was standing and saw her holding multiple boxes, struggling to balance them all. You rushed over to her and grabbed a few boxes from her arms, lifting the weight off of her. “Thank you!” She said, breathing out a sigh.
“Y/N!” Somebody from the front called and you whirled around to see what they needed. However, your foot got caught on a stray box and you stumbled, the boxes in your hands toppling over and making you even more off-balance. You threw your arms out to catch yourself but your ankle was still stuck and you heard a horrible snap before your body crashed to the ground, boxes scattered everywhere.
You were quiet for a second before the pain caught up with you and you and you cried out. “Shit! Y/N! Hold on! Stay there!” Somebody called and you could have laughed if the pain wasn’t so unbearable.
Nearly an hour later and you were on your way to the hospital with a splint around your ankle and a paramedic asking you a bunch of unnecessary questions. You wanted to tell him to shut up but also knew that he was just trying to be helpful so you ground your teeth together and answered them.
You were wheeled into the hospital and taken into a private room, a nurse assuring you that your emergency contact had been called and they were on the way. The doctor talked you through what was happening, explaining that your leg was broken but not severely enough that surgery was needed, just a hard cast, some crutches, and a lot of rest. He told you that your friend was waiting out in the waiting room and could take you home when you were ready. Eager to see your best friend you stumbled your way through the hospital on crutches and towards the waiting room.
Walking in you scanned the room for the familiar face of your best friend but couldn’t spot her. What did catch your eye was the fact that Ashton Irwin was sitting in the waiting room, looking confused. You huffed and leaned heavily on your crutches, disappointed that your friend wasn’t there but slightly excited that Ashton happened to be here. To your shock he stood up and started walking towards you. You righted yourself and looked at him.
“Hi, um, I was called? I think I’m your emergency contact.” You were baffled. You had put your friend’s number down, you were sure of it, “Well actually I’m sure you meant to call somebody else but I think whoever you wanted to be called has a very similar number to mine. They showed me the paperwork and our numbers are one digit off, so that’s probably what happened but it’s no big-”
“Why did you come?” You cut Ashton’s rambling off.
“Well, they called me, what was I supposed to do?” He shrugged like it was the most simple thing in the world.
“You don’t know me, though. You didn’t have to come.”
“Yeah, I know. But I didn’t want you to be alone, they didn’t really tell me what happened to you over the phone, just that you had been taken to the hospital, it was probably scary for you and I wanted to be there for you. I’m Ashton by the way, I swear I’m not trying to be creepy. I just wanted to help.” He glanced down at his shoes and you smiled.
“I know who you are, I’m Y/N. And thank you for coming even though you didn’t have to.”
“Anyway, you probably need ice cream. That’s what I want when I get hurt. Let’s go, I’m driving.” Ashton said, holding your waist to keep you from falling on the crutches.
The two of you made your way to his car and he helped you in. The two of you spent nearly four hours talking and laughing, Ashton making you forget about ever having hurt yourself. When the night ended Ashton drove you back to your house and made sure you got safely inside, walking you up to your doorstep and holding your back in case you lost your balance.
“I had a really wonderful time with you tonight. I mean, I’m sorry you got hurt but I guess it kinda worked out for the better?” Ashton said, grinning at the floor.
“I’m almost glad I broke my leg.” You joked.
“Well I should probably let you rest, but you have my number now so feel free to give me a call… whenever.” Ashton said and you blushed hard.
“I’ll keep that in mind, thank you Ashton.” You kissed his cheek before turning to the door and unlocking it, glancing back to see him making his way to his car. “Night!” You called after him.
“Goodnight, Y/N. Be careful, okay?” He said, turning around. You giggled and nodded at him before he got into his car and drove away.

Calum Hood - Exchange Student Part 5
Here’s the next part of this series sorry if there’s a few errors I haven’t had chance to proof read it. I’ll add the links tomorrow since I’m tired and it’s 2am, but links to the previous parts are in my Masterlist on my blog if you want to read them. Request for the next part to find out what Luke means.
Masterlist
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4
‘You look beautiful.’ Luke said before I could reply. All thoughts were frozen. Obviously, I knew there would be a time that all three of us were together but I couldn’t prepare myself for the awkwardness I felt. Calum’s gaze hardened at Luke’s words but a silent message passed between us. He agreed with Luke but he had wished he had said it instead. 'Thank you.’ I said smiling at Luke. Calum stepped towards me and I thought he was going to say something or kiss me. It was intense between us and in that proximity all I wanted was to feel Calum’s soft lips on my skin, but he moved around me and into the bathroom, putting the wooden door between us. I released a breath that I hadn’t realised I had been holding. 'Come on Y/N.’ Luke said, draping his arm around my shoulder as he led me to the bustle in the living room. Alcohol already infected the room as people were getting cosier than usual and the careless nature of people dancing suggested. 'Y/N!’ Michael shores happily when he saw me, grabbing my hand. He led me to the makeshift dance floor in the middle of his large living room. I glanced back at Luke who was shaking his head at us as he smiled. Nodding towards the kitchen, he lifted his hand to his mouth in a tilting motion which indicated he was getting a drink. I nodded and looked back at Michael who was clumsily flailing about with a permanent grin on his face, causing one to spread across my own. To my left a figure dressed in all black caught my attention. Calum was leaning against a table talking to Ashton but his eyes trained in me. A girl was trying to win his attention but he refused to glance at her. Maybe if I was drunk I would have swayed my hips more and ran my hands through my hair. But I was sober and very aware of his hungry gaze, so I looked back at Michael whose blissful express quickly eased me. As the song changed, I glanced in the direction of where I had last seen Luke. He was leaning against the wall with two drinks in his hands. Waving my hand, I motioned for him to joking us but he just shook his head. Rolling my eyes I shouted to Michael that I would be back in a second and I slithered through the drunken dancing bodies towards Luke. He handed me a drink, which I thanked him for. 'Come join us.’ I said. 'I’m not drunk enough for that yet.’ He laughed. 'Nor am I. That’s why I need you and everyone else is drunk so they won’t care.’ My hand grabbed his and I rugged lightly. He rolled his eyes but allowed me to lead him back to Michael who had moved on to another girl. I acted offended, which earned a laugh from Luke. At first our dancing was silly but eventually his hand went to my waist. My instinct was to look at the table that Calum was leaning on. He was still their, taking a swig of his beer. I could see his white knuckles tightly gripping the bottle either in anger or jealous or both and his glare was targeted at me and Luke. I looked away and back at Luke, whose sparkling blue gaze and soft smile was aimed at me. After a few songs he bent his head to my ear. 'I’m going to get another drink, want one?’ He asked. I nodded and handed my empty cup to his out stretched hand before he headed towards the kitchen through the maze of gyrating bodies. Feeling awkward dancing alone I looked at Calum who was alone and headed towards him. 'Hey.’ I said, deciding to be civil since I now knew he no longer despised me. 'What you’ve had enough of dancing with Luke?’ He asking, ignoring my pleasantry and turning his stint gaze to me. 'So you’re just going to stand here all night?’ I asked, choosing to ignore his bitterness. He couldn’t treat me like crap and just expect me to swoon over him when he confessed his feelings. He shrugged, taking another swig of his beer. 'Hey look at that.’ Ashton said pointing above our heads. I rolled my eyes. Of course Michael put up mistletoe. 'You have to.’ Ashton said, sounding slightly drunk. 'You two should put your dislike aside and like each other!’ 'Fine.’ Calum huffed, putting his drink on the table. He turned towards and put his hand in the side of my face like he had the the night. He lowered his face and his lips brushed against mine, gently applying pressure. It was completely different to the hungry kiss. His tongue timidly pressed against my mouth and without thinking I parted my lips. His tongue darted between them and swirled around with my own. Forgetting where we were I lifted my arms, encircling his knack as his other hand gripped at my waist. Pulling away he leaned his forehead on mine as he steadied his breath. 'Woah.’ Ashton laughed, raising his eyebrows at us. I stepped away, trying to understand what had just happened 'Luke.’ I whispered, worry and guilt flooded through me. Calum’s face hardened, clearly having heard what I had whispered, as he grabbed his bottle. He went back to leaning in the table and looking at the dancers as he swigged his beer. Turning around, my gaze collided with Luke’s, who was stood holding two drinks: frozen. A pain stabbed through my heart at the broken expression distorting his beautiful features. He turned, put the drinks on a side table and left. My reaction had slowed, but eventually the message went to my feet as they started moving after him. My desperate gaze flickered around the kitchen but he was no where to be seen so I hurried outside. I found him leaned against the wall kicking at the stones on the floor. 'Luke.’ I could barely whisper as the guilt suffocated me. He glanced at me before looking back at his feet. Hurt clearly visible in his features, which ins tensioned the stabbing pain in my chest. 'I knew this would happen.’ He mumbled, shaking his head. 'I knew it.’

Angel (Hogwarts AU)
It’s not very Hogwartsy, but this was inspired by 0kbutmichaelclifford’s Hogwarts blurb night.
_____
The first time Ashton saw her, he was trekking across campus towards the castle with a load of books in his arms. Had he kept his footing, he would have missed her entirely, but his long limbs and the dimming light sent him toppling to the ground, books in tow. He sat up, and in his line of sight was a girl, several dozen feet in the air. She looked holy, just sitting atop her broom, watching the waves roll in from the lake while the wind broke through the curls in her hair. She was savoring the balance of those last few moments between dusk and night, and it took Ashton a few moments to realize he’d been staring before he was able to shake himself from his reverie and pick up his books. With his long legs, it took him but a few moments to hurry back towards the castle and push on the heavy wood of the entrance. He looked back once, right before the great doors shut behind him, but the skies were then empty, and his evening angel had gone.
______
In the next few weeks, Ashton looked tirelessly for her. He spent his meals in the great hall scanning the other tables to catch a glimpse of her, and studying in the library had become a complete lost cause because of the amount of time he spent wondering if she was just around that stack of books. He’d been reprimanded at least a dozen times during quidditch practices because of how distracted he’d become by the thought of her. He saw a ghost with hair like hers once, and the fear of the possibility that he’d maybe seen a floating spirit instead of a student atop her broom gripped his heart with icy fingers. It wasn’t until the end of the month when the weather turned nice enough to spend ample time outside that he caught a glimpse of her again. He was wandering towards one of the great oak trees after potions when there was a distant call. A flurry of black and yellow had whizzed past him, too quickly to catch a real glimpse. All he saw was her back, cloaked in a Hufflepuff robe that was falling off of her shoulders, and the wild curls he remembered bouncing as she ran.
“Y/N”! The voice had called again, to which she responded with a loud laugh, her voice clear and bright and joyful. The gust of wind that followed her brought him scents of daisy and orange, and something without a name that he’d smelled in the last few batches of amortentia he’d made in potions. In his moments of shock, he’d missed his opportunity to see her face, or get any sort of real information, but at least now he had a name, and the confirmation that she hadn’t just been a figment of his imagination.
“Y/N”, he mumbled out loud. He continued walking towards his intended tree and grinned to himself. He liked the way her name felt inside his mouth.
_____
The next time Ashton saw Y/N was in his dreams. This time they were both atop his broom overlooking the great lake, and the rush he felt in the pit of his stomach, being there with her, was more dazzling than any rush he’d ever felt from flying. She leaned against him in the dream, her back pressed up against his chest, and although he never caught a glimpse of her face, she smelled like he remembered and still laughed like a bell. This time, Ashton noticed smugly, she was not wearing her own yellow and black robes, but instead his red and gold ones, and the image of her draped in such royal colors stayed imprinted in his mind long after he’d woken up and meandered down to breakfast.
____
It was another week before Ashton saw her again, this time crashing into her after she’d whipped too quickly around a corner. His hands gripped her upper arms to steady her, and her smell hit him full force all while he was caught up in her big, bright eyes. He trailed after the splash of freckled across her nose and down to her soft lips, parted in surprise as she let out a soft noise.
“Y/N” he breathed her name with reverence, and she blinked at him in surprise.
“I’m sorry, do I know you?“ He let go of her arms and shook his head while she scrutinized him. He didn’t know how to begin explaining how much time he’d spent looking for her, or the fact that she’d invaded his dreams. A sudden nervous giggle brought him back to the present moment. She was bending down to scoop up some things she’d dropped in their collision. “I’m only joking, of course I know who you are” she continued, smiling up at him. “You’re Ashton Irwin, one of the Gryffindor chasers. I didn’t think you’d know me though”.
His mind raced as he tried to come up with an explanation that didn’t sound as bizzare as the truth. “I saw you one night, on your broom” he finally told her. “You were watching the lake. I thought you were an angel”. The confession slipped out before he could process what he was saying. There was a moment of silence in which they both turned varying shades of pink and red.
“Thank you" Y/N finally laughed. “If it makes you feel any better, I’ve always thought you looked like an angel too”.

For me, the most stressful thing about 5sos is how hard they work themselves. I know that their careers are relatively new and still exciting, but they look so tired sometimes and I wish they could have more of a break. Obviously we love hearing new music and adore seeing them perform on tour, but I wish they realized that they have such a loyal fan base, and most of us would be perfectly happy if they slowed down instead of cranking out another album and mentally planning their next tour, and instead took their time to enjoy the process of being musicians and writing music. There are other ways to take care of the fans besides putting out music at a break-neck pace or constantly performing, like: bringing back goofy keeks. Being more active on Snapchat. Reviving the 5sos vs food series on YouTube. (etc). Maybe I only speak for myself, but I just worry about the babies.
