Personally I just thought it went like this: Originally the Doctor avoided the Lakertya system, went to Zastros 8, then went to Caliban then lived the events of Spiral Scratch and regenerated. However, the Valeyard clearly doesn’t care about continuity and the Web of Time (hence everything he does) and so makes a plan to infect the TARDIS right before the Sixth Doctor became the Seventh - sending Sixie to Zastros 9 instead. In stopping the Valeyard, the Sixth Doctor steers the TARDIS towards Lakertya after all.
Essentially, my Sixth Doctor timeline looks like this:
Reconciling the Sixth Doctor’s Deaths
Under the cut. Spoilers for…sort of the endings, with random bits of half-remembered NA trivia thrown in.

I love that the Sixth Doctor is just calling the Rani "Ushas" at this point. The fact that the Seventh Doctor never did probably comes down to the fact that Colin's Doctor knows juuuust how to irritate his villains.

Macqueen would have.
Okay, real serious question right now:
Would John Simm’s or Derek Jacobi’s or Roger Delgado’s or Anthony Ainley’s Masters have tickled a Dalek ball in a suggestive manner following a comment about genitals and also talked continually about flirting and things being sexy?
Think on that for a lil moment.
I love Missy but the sexism that underpins Moffat’s writing is still there and it is annoying as hell…

Like 80% sure next week’s episode will open with a bunch of hands getting shot in the eye.

as far as i can tell, there are broadly two types of classic whovian reactions to The Magician’s Apprentice, neither one necessarily negating the other:
wondering how this episode changes countless stories, character moments and interactions, and plotlines starting from the very beginning of the series. really, how it changes the doctor himself, considering how often fighting the daleks has led to clarifying moments regarding his own morality

There are two kinds of people who were preteens/teens in the early-to-mid-2000s:
1) People who will forever see Orlando Bloom as Legolas
2) People who will forever see Orlando Bloom as Will Turner

IT’S REAL IT’S ACTUALLY REAL I mean we knew Lisa Bowerman was doing the audiobook and it sure sounded like Benny in the description but IT’S ACTUALLY REAL
Oh my god I don’t know if this was confirmed before but yes, Big Bang Generation is a 12th Doctor and Benny novel (with Peter, Jack, and Ruth although it doesn’t sound like Brax is involved)
