Hey guys here are some recommendations if you wanna read dystopian books or like television.

• Starters & Enders by Lissa Price: a post-civil war American that's divided. Clinics are made to bait young homeless teens into coming and getting a "makeover" and getting paid by letting rich buys transfer their minds into the body "renting them out" but after the main character has a glitch and wakes up to see she's in a club, the old woman renting her explains her mission in taking down the clinics and the government that runs them.

  Focuses: Greed, exploitation of the poor, police brutality, classism.

•Unwind by Neal Shusterman: Dystopian world where abortion's illegal but children over 13 can be sent away for being "problem children" but these camps that they're being sent to dismantle/dismember them and transplant their organs and justify it by not exactly killing them.

  Focuses: banned abortion, organ harvesting, corrupted government programs

Fahrenheit 451: Censorship is forced and books are banned. The government forces everyone into a pleasure-seeking mindset that makes it harder to focus and understand what's going on. After the main character talks with a girl who loves nature and isn't a thrill seeker, her and her family's disappearance pushes the main character to dig deeper into their society and books.

  Focuses: censorship, numbing to people

It Devours by Jeffrey Cranor and Joseph Fink: Part of a series and focuses on a strange town called Nightvale that isn't found on any map in America. The main character is a scientist who struggles with the banning of computers as you have to talk to the council who can approve of computers and TV. The council is made up of monsters and doesn't want people to check in on the large openings forming around the desert land that's linked to a cult-like religion.

Focuses: Censorship, abusive government, Harmful and deceitful use of religion.

Shows/movies:

5th wave: "Aliens" enter Earth and start a series of waves to wipe out the human race and prepare to populate it with their species. After it's learned that the Aliens can take on human hosts, Aliens trick children into thinking that they're the true government and have them kill other "aliens" but later it's revealed that they've been killing humans the whole time.

Focuses: Society breaks down, manipulation of children, evil government

Twilight Zone: The Twilight Zone show plays with many themes and topics to turn them into a more extreme and engaging episode. Episodes like "Eye of the Beholder" show how society and even the government, force others to look "normal" despite their version looking similar to big people. Another good episode is "The Monsters are Due on Maple Street" A town believes that one of them could be the monsters and start accusing each other to the point of killing each other, yet it's revealed that the real monsters had set this up as an experiment.

Focuses: Government control, conformity, human perception

Nope: Nope is a movie by Jordan Peele that starts with the aftermath of an old sitcom set that's been destroyed by a chimpanzee. Later we're met with the two main characters of the movie who struggle to get their horses used in movies after their father's passing. Later the spectacle of an alien ship is revealed to be lurking within the area and while people try to watch the spectacle, it ends up consuming them.

Focuses: Spectical, "don't look it in the eyes"/don't challenge, exploitation.

Attack on Titan: A universe where people live within walls to stay away from man-eating titans. The people are controlled by a "king" and other aristocrats who only make orders in favor of themselves. Later find out that they've been oppressed by another government.

Focuses: Oppression, Greed, Government overthrow, war

Arcane: This show is based on a video game but focuses on a society that is divided between a high class and a lower class. The lower class was heavily policed and attacked daily which allowed for kingpins to come in and act as people's salvation, but after their fall the high class had begun to be attacked for their years of forced oppression on the lower class.

Focuses: Oppressive government, Organized crime and their beginning reasons, community, protests.

•We all saw that many gods aren’t happy with these outcomes so double down on your crafts and continue to protect yourself and others.

•If you work out then strength train, this isn’t the time to get slim, and if you are then focus on protein, carbs, and building muscle.

I was nearly on the brink of tears. Today had been a terrible day, not only had one of my coworkers at my job in the mall have our boss think I was the one who was stealing money from the register, I was forced to work overtime with no pay to make up for it.

Luckily one of my friends let me go early covering for me so I could go home.

Once I did get home tho I had gotten a call from my manager saying that I was fired meaning I was now without a job completely.

“*sigh* why does life have to be so hard” I said laying in my bed while I was on the phone with my boyfriend Connie.

“Hey I’ll go up there and let them know not to mess with my girlfriend” Connie said making me smile a bit “mhm I know, but I just wish you were here” I said “well today’s your lucky day, open the door” for a second I was confused but caught on and went to open my door to Connie who had flowers and food with him.

“When did you get here?” I asked “not even a thank you to your lovely boyfriend? I’m hurt” Connie says making a pained expression “mhm thank you Connie” I said hugging him “anything for you”

After letting Connie in he starts putting the food down and I saw how much he got “why you get so much?” “Cause today’s a make up day now, meaning I’m going to turn this day and that smile upside down” “that’s the corniest thing I’ve heard” I said laughing “yeah but I made you laugh didn’t I” he says with a goofy smile on his face.

We start to eat and I put on a quiet place for us to watch “oh my lord” I said annoyed “what?” “Did you not see? That damn baby bouta alert the monster” I said annoyed “well they can’t just kill it, we’ll-” “exactly”

Once we watched practically every movie and our food was gone I start to get tired “looks like someone’s sleepy” Connie said making me laugh tiredly “mhm well come on lover boy, so we can sleep” I said grabbing his hand taking us both to my room.

“What am I gonna do Connie? I don’t have a job anymore and sooner or later I won’t be able to keep the apartment” I said draping my arms around his neck as we laid in bed “you can always work at the skate shop with me, it pays pretty well” I start to think and it wasn’t a bad idea “mm I guess so” “great, now let’s actually sleep” and with that we had went to sleep.
