Project 2025 is scary for so many, many reasons, but you want to know the weirdest one? Due to the vague wording surrounding its position on corn-but-with-a-p, you or I or anyone else who writes fanfiction could be labeled a child predator and either put on a list or, if you happen to be in a state like Florida, just straight up executed.

Over fanfiction. Because under the laws proposed by Project 2025, fanfiction might broadly be considered corn-but-with-a-p. And such things are harmful to children. I just have no words. We could all be involved in a political witchhunt over fanfiction. I could have to flee the country over fanfiction.

I didn't think this news would hurt this much. And I feel so bad for Toriyama's actual friends and family who have to stumble through such grief and pain from losing someone so suddenly.

Dragon Ball Z got me through some really tough times. It was one of the things that saved me and I'm forever grateful for that.

You know what I realized about sinners going to Heaven? How long until people in Heaven realize that not only can their loved ones in Hell be redeemed, but that their loved ones were being hunted and murdered by angels?

Like, can you imagine being in Heaven and coming to terms with the idea that you're just never going to see someone again, only to realize that, hey, maybe you could? Or maybe you find out that there was this chance and now it's gone again forever because of the very angels you thought were so great?

How many people in Heaven would demand to at least be able to call their loved ones in Hell? Send them care packages and supplies? Just know they were OK?

I have seen a lot of people think "Altruist" is Alastor's last name. It isn't, an altruist is just a very helpful person. He's saying that had he died, he would just be remembered as an altruist who tried to help his friends.

It's not a word we use very often so I totally get where the confusion is coming from.

Fall of the House of Guilt

There's something to me about Fall of the House of Usher where, when I started watching it, my first impression was "This is taking a lot from Poe aesthetics but not really Poe themes." So much of Poe is about guilt when you get down to it--the guilt of the partygoers in Masque, the killers in Black Cat and Telltale Heart, even the guilt of the crime in Rue Morgue. All those stories are basically about how guilt fundamentally alters your psyche and makes the world an unfathomable and unlivable place, because the only way to live with your own brutalized mind is to separate from it. And Fall of the House of Usher is sort of about people (Roderick and Madeline mainly) who are fundamentally incapable of real guilt, or the empathy that would produce guilt, due to their eagerness for power, their trauma, and their sense of entitlement.

How do you make a billionaire feel guilty? How can you, in any way, communicate the human cost of their actions, the impact on the environment, the far-reaching ripples of their greed and translate that into real human empathy necessary for guilt?

But then I thought... Oh, that's the point.

Usher is a reverse Christmas Carol. No matter how much Verna talks, kills, shows the bodies, it will never be enough to penetrate through the narcissism and power and trauma of cruelty and wealth to revive the long-dead hearts beneath. No matter how far she goes, how many children she kills, at the end, it's still all about living forever, legacy, for these people.

It didn't have to be this way.

I sort of like this as a sideways-swing at Poe. The horror isn't the guilt. The horror is the utter lack of it.

Auguste continually declining the Henry IV liquor from Roderick is a decline of the indulgence and hedonism the Usher lifestyle has come to represent

It is a rejection of the devil and the corrupting power of Rufus and and Verna and demonstrates Auggie's dedication to his morals unlike Roderick who eagerly partakes in the bottle

Everyone is sad about Tech, but one thing I don't see anyone talking about for next season is the family drama we are gonna get from having Nala Se now HAVE to interact with her children. Emerie seems to hate her, I can't imagine Crosshair and Omega will be happy with her, and Nala Se is just gonna have to stew in a hell of her own making

So the doctor at the end of The Outpost, Emerie Karr, is voiced by Keisha Castle-Hughes.

Why is this important? Because she is one of the actresses we as a fandom have theorized might play an adult Omega. Look at Emerie's model, especially her face. It doesn't look not unlike a clone.
