question for anyone who has been following f1 for a long time or is just really into the technical side of things: how come fuel efficiency is rarely talked about nowadays when it seems like it used to be really important? i’ve been watching the 2014 season and they’re talking about fuel usage a lot (there are even these little graphics comparing fuel usage between drivers) and i’ve also heard people talk about how good lewis is at fuel conservation. but in the races i’ve seen from this year and last year i can’t really think of a time where any commentator has talked about fuel, just about tire degradation. is it just that fuel management isn’t as relevant under the current regulations?
