Missing my favorite television character, Dr. Christina Yang. She is truly brilliant. 

The brilliance of Grey’s Anatomy was creatively depicted through the character of Dr. Christina Yang, Played by Sarah Oh.  A strong and independent women; the show can never be the same again without her.  

Dr. Christina Yang Lesson: “ Sometimes the future changes quickly and completely, and we’re left with only the choice of what to do next. We can choose to be afraid of it, to stand there trembling , not moving , assuming the worst that can happen or we step forward into the unknown and assume it will be brilliant,”

Hidden Figures

Hidden figures is the second movie I watched this year, the first being Fantastic Beast. Although Fantastic Beast has its enchanting moments, the English accent made it a bit difficult to understand.  

Hidden figures is set back to 1962 when NASA was frantically working to send their first man to space. It was a time where the African Americans were segregated from the rest and were deprived of higher privileges.

Based on a true story about three African-American women, who were the actual brains behind NASA's successful launch of the Friendship 7 space mission.  Katherine G. Johnson calculated the re-entry and landing of Friendship 7. Dorothy Vaughn operated a computer system known as IBM with ease, which other engineers had trouble operating. Mary Jackson obtained an engineering degree in a university not opened to African-American and became an engineer in NASA.  They played an important role in the success of the space mission. These incredible women faced various challenges to advance and became the first Africa-American women to uphold high positions in NASA, opening new unheard opportunities for African Americans.

 Hidden Figures is defiantly a movie worth watching. If you want to be inspired and be entertained this movie will do just that.

True Fashion Inspiration

Fashion bloggers depict a life of glamour. They post blogs informing their readers about the clothing that they possess how to style and pair them with various outfits. Then they proceed with their blog by posting numerous pictures of their outfit. The readers in seeing these pictures are awed by their sense of style and how their outfits complement each other. However, one is then disappointed to learn that their outfits are of high brands, such as Gucci, Prada, Rudsak and Chanel, you get my point.

I came to this thought when I read a fashion blog posted by an acquaintance. I did always think that she looked stylish no matter the situation. She recently started blogging, and I realized all the clothing that she owns are highly expensive, like most of the fashion bloggers. It is no wonder, that fashion bloggers always looks classic and chic. They wear expensive clothing from head to toe. I would like to find a fashion blogger, who style themselves in affordable, yet chic and classic looks. Please do let me know if there is any fashion blogger you know that do exactly that, for they are the true fashion inspirations and role models.
