“So I had the unique opportunity to vacuum with both the DC65 and this Big Ball Animal+Allergy. (Note the Allergy just means you get some extra attachments, the vacuum itself is the same as the big ball w/o allergy).

I wanted to test each vaccum to see which one picked up more dirt. i preformed the test on carpet. Both bedrooms had similar amount of usage and the space being vaccumed was nearly identical in terms of sq ft give or take no more than a foot.

the 1st bedroom i vacuumed with the dc65 (i went around the floor twice), after that i then went over the same room with the big ball. this was the 1st time each vacuum had been used. i wanted to see how much the big ball would pick up after the dc65. it picked up a significant amount of dirt that the dc65 did not get.

after both vacuums were cleaned out I then preformed the test on the 2nd bedroom, but this time i used the big ball 1st and the dc65 2nd. as with the 1st bedroom i went around the room twice. After i was done vaccuming the room with the big ball i then went around the room with the dc65. It did pick up a tiny bit that the big ball had missed, maybe cause it had just come loose or my angle was different, but no way did it get near the amount the big ball had did in bedroom 1 after following the dc65.

This gave me solid evidence that the big ball was a much more powerful vaccum as far as dirt and dust collection than its predecessor.

That is the good part.

The part about the big ball i didnt like was that it is slightly bulkier and it got hotter than the dc65. the heat is noticable pretty quickly. This is a small con for me though. The most important thing is how much dirt it collects.” – By one Amazon.com Buyer

NV370 – The Best Upright Vacuum For Hardwood Floor Review

I own all three versions of the Navigator, including this one. I am not a professional reviewer, and neither I nor anyone in my family has any connection to anyone in the vacuum cleaner industry. I bought my Lift Away Pro from QVC.

I really like the new Lift Away Pro. For about one-third the cost of a Dyson, you get virtually the same performance. Dyson still has an advantage in the quality of the engineering and materials used, but Shark is catching up. Like the two earlier versions of the Navigator, the Lift Away Pro has Pros and Cons.

PROs: – Price. You can buy about 3 Lift Away Pros for the cost of one upright Dyson. Cleaning performance is comparable (I have 3 Dysons, so I know).

– Excellent suction. If you have never used a vacuum with suction this good, you are going to be appalled at how much dirt comes out of your carpet. It makes me laugh when I read reviews where people complain about how often they have to empty the dust canister. That means this vacuum is actually cleaning the dirt out of your carpet that your old vacuum left behind. Be happy.

– Easy to assemble.

– Larger dust cup that empties easily and cleanly almost every time. You had to reach into the dust canister on the older Lift Away and yank out dirt-encrusted clumps of hair and carpet fibers every time you tried to empty it.

– HEPA filter. Even though the original Lift Away was advertised as having a HEPA filter, until people started complaining, it did not come with one unless you bought it directly from Shark. This one has a HEPA filter.

– 30 foot long power cord – 5 feet longer than the original Lift Away. You don’t have to keep moving the plug around to vacuum by Amazon.com buyer click to read more reviews!

“I got this vacuum a few weeks ago, I had an old Bissel that went out on me after about 5 years or so. I recently got an Alaskan Klee Kai. He is the cutest dog ever, but dear lord the hair is ridiculous.

The Bissel would take 10 minutes to clean this 6 foot rug caked in his hair. I decided to get something that specializes in pet hair, I just couldn’t deal with it all over the place anymore. I took it out of the box the first time and thought how nice it looked and went right to the rug. I was astonished. Less than a minute and it was spotless (hairless).

I decided to try this machine out on my sun room couch, and it picked up hairs I couldn’t even see. Even more impressive, I noticed that it picked up a layer of a grayish dust- like material. Hmmm. I emptied the bin. It’s a great design, you just push a button over the trash and the bottom opens and the dirt falls out.

Then, I vacuumed the living room couch with my regular vacuum and brush attachment. When I was done, I ran over the couch with the dyson, and it not only picked up a bit more hair, but it also collected another layer of this dust, so it’s clear to see that this is powerful enough to clean out debris in the furniture that a regular vacuum might miss. Lastly, I pulled the linens off the bed and vacuumed the mattress.

More dust…Im guessing this is the dreaded dust mite debris, but whatever it is, I’m glad it’s out! This machine doesn’t last too long on a charge. By their instructions, you get as little as six minutes on max power. I was able to get both couches and the bed done before it needed a charge. You can use this vacuum anywhere you might use a hand held machine, so although it’s listed as a mattress cleaner, it has several attachments for other uses.

It arrived in a fairly small box, and after removing the cardboard holding the accessories, I was able to easily store everything back in the box, and it takes up little room in my closet. “

With five adjustable height levels, the Electro Premium adapts to any pile carpeting. Here is one review about this C3 Marin Miele Vacuum; “This Miele Canister Vacuum is quiet, powerful and flexible. The first thing I noticed is that this vacuum cleaner is much quieter than most vacuums. It has very powerful suction which has seven levels to choose from if you include the Auto level. Everything is selectable with the foot switches.

You get powerbrush and floor tool to choose from for the main pick up tool. Additional accessories for upholstery or drapery cleaning are stored inside the canister. The powerbrush has more foot switches: one for selecting one of 5 height levels; the other for turning the power brush on/off.

The pluses for the Miele are: • Excellent pick up of dirt on carpets and bare floors • Very Quiet – this is a real treat • Really nice for accessing corners and under furniture in a way that an upright vacuum simply cannot match. • Excellent build quality. This is engineered and built to a very high standard of quality. • Excellent filter • Easy and convenient storage of accessory tools in the Canister • Retractable cord…can also be operated with the footswitch. But I think you are better off, slowing it down a little with your hand to avoid a backlash. (This is true of all vacuum retractable cords).

The only negative is that the price is, well, breath-taking at over $1,000. But for the price you are getting what is perhaps the quietest best built vacuum on the market.”

Pros: Upon opening the box, I was impressed at how well it was packaged and protected, yet still very easy to remove from the box. The owner’s manual is well thought out, organized and clearly written. The machine is beautiful in design and presentation; construction, fit and finish are extraordinarily well done. Assembly and preparation for use were simple and quick, with bag and filters already in place.

The hose is very easy to maneuver and quite flexible and long. The stainless steel wands are easy to extend as appropriate for the height of the operator and the job at hand. For instance, with the smooth floor head attached and the wands fully extended, one could easily vacuum walls as well as a standard-height ceiling, then readjust the wand extension to proceed on a smooth floor such as laminate, wood or tile.

The smooth floor attachment is lightweight yet large, and there are periodic spaces in the brush to allow crumbs, etc. to be picked up without lifting the head. The power cord is long and allows one to work within a 36 foot radius. The smaller attachments reside on-board when not in use, which is very handy.

The foot controls allow for vast changes in levels of suction, power on and off, and cord rewind. During use, there is no odor or appearance of any dust escaping from the sealed bag system, and no dust escapes when removing the bag from the cleaner, as the lid on the bag closes. “My dog is no match!” – By Laura I was VERY hesitant to order a vacuum that costs almost as much as my rent. I am living on a budget but also have been buying crap vacuum’s for years that can’t hold a candle to my dog’s hair. I have a pit/boxer mix and he sheds like it’s his job. My other vacuum was a Bissell that actually advertised that it was for heavy pet hair and I used it just before this Dyson and was astounded at what I thought was clean. This Dyson picked up so much stuff out of my carpet I was fascinated and grossed out at the same time. It even cleaned all the ingrained hairs out of the underside of the couch. It swivels on a dime and is really easy to maneuver. It also edges well and has a bunch of attachments and a fancy attachment bag to hold them all. This is a very expensive vacuum but worth every cent. No joke – stop buying cheaper vacuum’s every year and thinking you’re saving money! This is the true blue for people with dogs. I wish I could upload a picture of my couch before and after. You’d all be convinced!

“Everything about this vacuum is top quality to me. It is very user friendly, and comes with an array of attachments that should suit just about any situation. The vacuum handles height can be adjusted very easily by just pressing a button and allowing it to snap into place either lower or higher. And there are no hard to get out filters that you have to deal with.

The filter that is in it can easily be snapped out and cleaned. When I first hooked it all up, (did it all without directions, its easy), I at first felt the hose coming out of the top instead of the front would tend to keep it off balance and see it tip over a lot. But instead it is very well thought out and easily follows you around with various tugs on the hose without seeing it topple. The cord on it is nice and long and easy to pull out, and the retractable feature is very nice. (You have to continuously press the retracter button on it to retrieve the cord.

You can’t just press it once. But so far there has been no back lash of the cord snapping my knuckles like some older models with this feature.) It comes with both a rotating brush head and a floor brush, both good quality. By far this vacuums best feature is its multiple speed control. Back in the day you could only control a vacuums power by opening a vent on it to reduce the suction. This not only has plenty of speeds to suit any floor, carpet style, etc, but it also has the vent as well.

When first started up you may feel this vacuum is not as powerful as you were expecting. But that is because it is rather quiet even in its most powerful mode.
