Someone bumped into her. Someone bumped into her and she lost her sunglasses and now she was stopping herself from reading minds around her (ethics and privacy and all that but mostly to avoid the constant headaches that came with constant noise) meaning that she couldn’t even get a sense of where they were. Whoever knocked them off didn’t stop. Ruth was standing there literally blind, and everyone could see that she was a mutant.

She clapped a hand over her eyes.

Steve had seen the person bump into the girl, not even bothering to stop and apologize, the super-soldier shook his head. His focus had been on the person rather than the girl, and when he turned his gaze towards her he just barely caught a glimpse of her eyes. A few people had noticed, stopping to look at the girl and he could only imagine their thoughts right now. Steve quickly walked forward picking up the sunglasses that had been knocked off her. “Here.” He said, gently taking hold of her free hand placing the glasses into it.

How often do they fight?: They can get pretty heated at times, depending on what they’re fighting about. And how do they make them feel better?: Holding them and forehead kisses. What would they be like as parents?: I feel like it could be a bit of a struggle for Bucky, and possibly Steve at first but they would manage eventually. He could always return home, but that would mean abandoning his friends. Would it be more noble to fight and die for freedom, or to give oneself up so that others might live? He eyed the other with a hint of concern, something extremely unusual for the Asgardian. 

The same question had been weighing on Steve’s mind before the other voiced it, but that still didn’t help to answer it. He let out a small sigh looking over at the Asgardian. “I don’t know.” He admitted. “They might try. These Dominators are new, unknown and people usually fear the unknown more. Our actions have had consequences, but they’ve always been for the greater good, to save and protect. We have to trust people will remember that.” He knew it wouldn’t be easy, if people trusted them in the first place they wouldn’t be in this position.
