Lizzie's heart skips a beat; Edyn would hear it. The blush that neatly painted her face before, has now gone bright red from fully thinking over everything that just happened.

"Y-yeah, I'm sure they've got it. Lemme just..."

She swiftly picks up Edyn, bridal style, and starts walking towards the Captain's Quarters.

-Gimli waddles in front of Edyn and Lizzie. He has a fishing pole that’s stuck on a harness on him. On the rod hangs one single mistletoe. Gimli has the biggest shit eating grin-

She returns the kiss happily, turning her head just slightly to not bump their noses. One of her hands on Edyn's waist snake around to her back as Edyn pulls closer to her. After a few moments, they break and Lizzie blinks rapidly, not quite believing what just happened happened.

"Wow."

Lizzie looks Edyn over with a stupid grin on her face.

"I love you too."

Lizzie's eyes go a bit wide, and she blinks once or twice as a blush fills her cheeks. But her gaze softens and she lets a soft smirk reach her lips.

"I... I would love too, Edyn."

Reaching a hand up to Edyn's cheek and the other around her waist, she pulls her closer.

*Noticing his unease, Lizzie puts down the maps and important looking parchments she was looking over.*

"John. Of course, yes. What's on your mind?"

*She walks around her desk and beckons John inside, closing the door behind him.*

"Well, we'll see how you feel in a few days. But none of that "I'm fine" while you're still in bandages bullshit. Got it? The fate of this mission rests in Rudith's hands. If he says you're good to go, you can go."

*Noticing his unease, Lizzie puts down the maps and important looking parchments she was looking over.*

"Well... after you've rested up a bit we can talk schematics. If you remember the layout of Edison's Navy Base we can try sending in someone to get the logbook."

*She looks back up to him, her face stern by caring.*

"But you're not allowed to go. That's an order, John. You need rest. Listen to Rudith, he knows what he's doing. And, if you can, let us know when you get hurt. We need you in top shape, and I'm sure Rudith doesn't mind patching you up."

*Lizzie's eyes narrow in thought. She stays silent for a minute before looking toward John. Her face is unreadable, yet she replies kindly.*

"I'll find a way to convince Rudith to let you go look for your logbook, John. Although, it's a privilege you'll have to earn from them, probably by getting plenty of bedrest before we dock."

*Lizzie laughs softly, trying to make light of his situation. She's well aware of John's tendency to ignore his injuries and well being.*

"But- by any chance, would this involve infiltrating the Edison Navy Base? It might make things difficult. Also important question: What does your logbook have? Navy intel? Routine?"

*Gesturing towards his mass of cloth and badages, she let's her tone turn from soft to a bit more commanding, yet still clearly worried about him.*

"And don't tell me it's nothing- clearly it's not."

"Should only be about 6 days' time, now. Why...? Are we in a rush?"

*She asks carefully, glancing at his bandages.*

-Gimli puts the paper on the down, it has some blood on the edge of it. It has a drawing of Rudith, Caspian, who ever the fuck the “melty man” is(it’s John) and Lizzie.-

-Gimli in super sloppy hand writing wrote something next to each drawing. Lizzie’s has “COOL. VERY COOL” with arrows pointing to her-

*She nearly falls over when Gimli comes in*

*Lizzie asked worriedly, taking the drawing from him. Examining it carefully, she nods and smiles at him.*

*Lizzie notices and half-panics in her head, trying to figure out where this is gonna go. But she moves a hand to Edyn's cheek, cupping her face. She leans in to reciprocate, and their lips touch.*

*And they kiss!*

*She breaks away to look at Edyn again, a soft grin on her face.*

*Lizzie finally goes over to Edyn's side, having noticed her slumped down in a corner earlier. She brushes the back for her hand by Edyn's ear fins, and tucks her hair behind them.*

"Edyn..? Are you alright? Did she hurt you?"

"Her eye is full of love and worry, searching Edyn for injury.*
