Dear random reader,

This is my first post/rant on Tumblr as a 21 year old woman. Yes, I know I am kind of late and an internet dinosaur. Don't blame me. 🤷‍♀️

I am also not sure if this is the correct/popular way to use it... Is there even a correct way to use this platform, which seems to be kind of an anonymous escape for all the searching souls out there that like words, rants, theories, fandoms and so much more? 💥

I discovered Tumblr by going through queer heartbreak and searching for an escape for my (confused) thoughts.

First, I discovered the Camren videos, theories and stories on YouTube (and later Wattpad) and was very fascinated and entertained. Whether some of the theories are true or not, to have videos and fanfiction which portrays and describes attraction, love, pain and heartbreak so well, really helps with personal struggles and pain! What I like most about it, is the energy and determination the creators invest in these videos and stories. After the Camren phase, I binge-watched OITNB and and then Taylor decided to give us Folklore and Evermore. 🔥

And there is something very special about these albums. The stories of these songs and the way she phrases and describes parts of the songs just scream that there is something more. Something to be dicovered. 👀

And if you just dig a little bit and allow the queer perspective / narrative you can't unhear it and then you fall down the rabbit hole and catch up to what Taylor could have also reffered to in her songs the last 15 years. 😂 This doesn't mean that the albums or Taylor herself have to be as gay as some people want to portray them, but it's there. Probably it was there all along, but it is just a little bit louder now (You need to calm down and ME! were also very loud, but more in a "provacative" way and not in a "please discover the story/confession" kind of way) . And once again, the fact that Taylor allows us to make these connections and theories (and tells the queer story somewhere in there along other perspectives and stories) helps with the own journey and personal struggles and just escaping. To be able to decode lyrics, posts, ads, events etc. is in some level just rewarding. Also, Taylor is just a really great role model and outstanding songwriter. I am really glad that she decided to give us so much music and content in times of a pandemic.

Furthermore, I want to cherish this community. From what I have seen so far it is so different to other social media apps because not the "real person" and all the great trips and adventures are in the focus, but rather the art/thoughts/dedication of the blog. You just put your ideas out there and see what happens, a really relaxed concept may I say. Also, you folks are very good with words and really funny. :D

Last but not least, I want to wish you all health, happiness and a reason to wake up in the morning. Currently life is more difficult and stressful than it is under normal circumstances. And sometimes we do not give us enough credit to just have survived another day. To have showed up for ourselves and most likely friends and family. We are all somehow struggling, and on a journey and probably not satisfied with aspects of our lives, but that doesn't change the fact that we are all beautiful and ENOUGH! I want to wish all of you that experienced a crabby day that tomorrow will be better.
