death constant beyond love
when everything seems down love can be the only thing that makes someone feel alive again and want to live. so when senator onesimo sanchez found the love of his life with only six months and eleven days to live he found something that would help him enjoy life. he wants to live and have the best life that he can with his love by his side. this love that he finds gives him a sort of new energy that he didnt have before he found her but now that he did its something he will never forget. this new feeling is something that he hasnt felt in so long and now that he has it he never wants to let it go. but he knows that his time is coming to an end. his life wasnt as meaning full till now and he wants that to mean something for when his life ends so finding this new love is his way of having that meaning in his life. its something that even when he dies will carry on for ages and its something that no matter what can never be taken from him. so he finds peace in the fact that through death he wasnt able to find someone that he knew would make him happy all the way till his death. if it wasnt for her senator onesimo would be miserable and wouldnt have a reason to want to keep living and being happy through everything. its all because of her that he can go out to the public and let everyone see him. before her senator onesimo wouldnt want to go out to see the public but now he does and he even dresses in his best clothes so everyone can see the new man that he is. as death comes closer love is the only thing in his life that he holds dear to him and on the day he dies he knows he died in peace with love in his heart.

So in order for him to get back on productivity he takes a vacation and heads to venice. But along his way he sees different structures and people that help guide him and influence his writing. This helped him with his writing but once he got to venice he stayed there and explored the city. this man goes all around Venice seeing different sites and meeting new people that he just observes doing their daily life. Once here he goes out to the beach and into the water and turned back to the shore and saw an elderly man sit and start to fade away. By the time anyone noticed the old man fell into a deep slumber so the people carried him back to his room so they can help him. But by the nightfall everyone got news that the man was deceased. during this whole thing the man that dies is just picturing the man thats looking at him on the beach and is just imagining everything. he really dies in the book but majority of everything isnt his reality. His vacation in Venice is all real but the person that is following him around isnt a real person its just someone he envisions to get him through the day and not feel lost.

you foolish men
in this poem the poet goes over how men treat women and how the way that women act with their men. this poem goes into so much detail without being long, its short but gets as much detail as possible to give the full sense of meaning. this poem talks about how the men make the women feel so bad and treat them wrong and don't know what they truly have. that the men just treat their women like they are replaceable if they get out of line or if they don't act the way the men want them too. it also describes how men judge women for their past and don't let them forget about what they did in the past and make them feel guilty for what they did in the past. like judging the women for the men that they have slept with and using that against them when they argue and don't let them forget how bad it was that they have slept with so many men in the past and that their new man wasn't their first. even when the women doesn't want to sleep with the man then they are not grateful for the man but if the women does let the man sleep with her then she is loose/slut. this is how men see women that they should always let them sleep with her because its the man that deserves them and if they have slept with others then the women is a slut or loose for having other sexual partners. if the women lets you sleep with her right away then they are seen as easy for not holding out longer and refusing the mans advances. this is how men treat their women which isn't right because some are just as equal as us and men want this type of women that is strong and independent but when they finally have that women they don't want her to be like that and they want her to be more submissive and do whatever the man says to do. but the poem says that they should embrace the women and see them for what they are and treat them right because they are special to us and give us so much that no man can do. you should blame the women for her past you should forget it and see her for what she is now and love her for what she has become and don't try to win her over just to be ungrateful but woo her to show her the love she deserves.

tale of Genji
in the story it follows an emperor and his attraction to a women that was not of a noble class but he still felt an attraction to her. the emperor had many women that he could choose from that were of high class of nobility, but he found himself drawn to a women that was from a lower class. he knew that if he wanted to be with her it could cause many problems for him and his country. he thinks of what happened to the chinese emperor when he decided to marry a women below his stature and how that effected the whole country as a whole. so he had to think about not only how the people would look at him but how the country would be affected and not respect his decision. but at the same time he has to look into his heart and make the best decision for himself as well because at the end of the day its gonna be someone he spends his life with. he should make the decision to be with this women that he fell in love with because he should be with someone that he loves not someone that hes being with to benefit everyone else but himself. but even with picking someone that he has a connection with and the story talking about love, it also revolves around death aas well. so, throughout this whole tale it revolves around life, death, and love. talking about how each thing is an important part of life and that eventually we will all get to each point during our life time. we need to accept death because its part of us and its something that we cant avoid just like having the feels of love for someone doesnt matter what status that they are but love is one of the strongest emotions that someone can have. love is a powerful thing in life and we cant simple avoid it because its in all of us to find a love one and death is the same way because we can live as much as we want but at the end of the day death is still a forseen thing that no one can avoid no matter how hard they try to prevent it.

BHARTRARI
can love poems from india be deep and meaningful? in the indian poems they can get very deep and meaningful and talk about love and how much it means to people and how it affects them. some of the poems even go into depth about how just the presence of a women can make people have these intense feelings of love for them. in the poem by bhartrhari he talks about how a young women makes him happy and that he desires to see her every chance that he gets so he can just be in her presence. that he wants to be holding her and never let her leave because the desire he has for her is just so great he thinks of her sweet embrace often. then he goes on to talk about how specific body parts makes him feel a certin way and just gets lost in all of her beauty that nothing else matters not even money can match the way he feels for her. but when it comes to the way he thinks he feels like he knows everything but over time wise people that hes around prove to him that hes just a fool in his ways. so he slowly goes away from the matter of love and paying honor to his master and trying to please his master in anyway he can. this means using his skills that hes learned to serve his master but then he talks about how some people have let all the riches they get blind them. this is bad in his opinion because it can blind your other senses as well. but the peolpe show him that the riches dont blind everything and they still want their minds to be pure and listen to all of the teaching that everyone has to offer so they can grow in wisdom.

troy
when it comes to the movie troy and the novel troy they are very similair but different at the same time. the movie starts with a battle between two city states of greece and two warriors face off to avoid a full on war. one of those warriors was achilles a brave warrior that thrives for glory. then it follows all of greece going to troy for menelaus wife from the trojans. it shows that all of greece sets sail and that achilles goes on his own with his own men without being forced or anything else. but in the novel it tells that achilles had come out of hiding and took his own ships so that he can go to troy and fight in the great war that was among them. when it comes to the fight scene between paris and menelaus they had an agreement that if paris lost helen would go back to sparta. in the movie it shows that hector helped paris survive even though it looked like menelaus was about to kill paris, so hector kills menelaus to avoid his brother dying. but in the novel it shows that aphrodite got paris back into the palace and menelaus was not killed by paris but he was instead shot by pandarus with an arrow. so the movie and the novel have differences and similarities but the movie does its best to translate the novel for people to better understand the war between troy and greece and how they become victorious over troy.

new testament
Does believing in a higher power help you be a better person? In the new testament there are a lot of people talking about their stories and how someone that they prayed to helped them out with everything they needed and made them feel better about themselves. In the testament from Luke he talks about how God is such a great person and would help you out with anything that is bothering you or that you are struggling with. Luke talks about how God will give you the advice that you are seeking but won't give it to you clear he does this, so you can seek your own way of thinking of the problem he only guides you to the right path and how you take it and go on about choosing your path is your own free will. He even talks about how the glory of god is the highest form of peace that there is on earth and if you praise him then you will always find peace in your life and that the whole world could be in peace like it was intended to. This is why Luke praises god so much and has a lot of faith in god because of the peace and the guidance that he is offering him. Matthew is the same way he praises jesus for all of his teaching and the way that he guides people on the right path because he wants everyone to be someone special and to not bring so much pain to the people. This is why Jesus promotes peace because he doesn’t want the world to become violent and for people to be getting hurt and dying for no reason unless it was meant for them to pass away. But because Matthew and Luke believe in someone that is a higher power then them they become better people and try to spread all their wealth and kindness all around the world so that everyone can be in peace just like they are but in their own way.

Zhuangzi
can everything be equal? in the story by ZHUANGZI it follows a guy named Ziqi trying to find the true meaning behind everything and to see if everything is truly equal to each. he goes on an adventure to find the true meaning behind everything and to see if the new thing that he's discussing about is equal to the previous thing that he was thinking of. his way of thinking leads him into new ways of looking into things that he wouldn't have ever thought of if he had never gone on this adventure. if it wasn't for Yan Cheng Ziyou who was by his side the whole time, not asking him the questions that he did it would've never lead to Zigi looking into the equality and true meaning behind everything. it lead him to think about heaven, the sky, the waves, humans, life and many other things that he just kept looking over and thinking about nice and hard to see if everything had a true meaning. he believes that without meaning that there is no reason for anything or anyone to do anything that they are doing right now because then theres no purpose in life for all of these things. so he figures if everything is to have a meaning for this world then everything must be equal to each other because nothing should be less or greater then another because they each have their own purpose to live by. this is truthful to even our everyday lives as well because we as a society feel like everything has meaning in our life whether thats a relationship, pet, school, parent or even an object in our life that we hold dear to our heart. everything that happens does have a true meaning in our lives because the person that we choose to be our partner in life is someone that is truly someone that we can be true with and not have to hide who we are and don't have to pretend to be someone we aren't. this is why we live our lives to its best possible way we can so we can have everything that we want whether thats from having a wife or having kids to carry on our legacy. this is why majority of people want to have kids so that their legacy can continue on for many generations and so we won't be forgotten as time passes on. so based on the story and life everything has a meaning to it so that we can live to find.

metamorphoses
Do the roman gods play a big role in the roman civilian's life's? In roman life everything that they did revolved around the gods no matter what it was they always turned backed and looked to the gods for the reasoning of why something happened. If anything, bad is going on they think that the gods are the ones causing these bad situations that they are consistently living in. So, for example if someone is at sea and theirs a storm that hits the they think its Poseidon being angry and that’s his way of letting his anger out on whoever is setting sail that day. Even if they have a bad day at sea and don’t catch anything they’ll think its Poseidon that angry at them and trying to punish them. So, in the poem Metamorphoses by Ovid it tells a story about how the gods play a key role in the people's everyday life and how they shape the world to how they want and cause problems just to see how the people handle all these problems and situations. He goes on to talk about the storms that are taking place in the city and that it’s the gods being involved in controlling the whether and how they can constantly change it. Then he talks about how they can get involved in love affairs and make people fall in love with each other so that they can have the best child that will benefit the world. They can even make people fall in love with someone who already has a husband or who has already been promised to someone. So, Ovid says that it’s the gods act that we have love affairs and people cheating on their spouses because of the love that they feel for someone else. He even discusses how when the gods get angry at each other that they even fight causing more problems for the people down in earth and they must deal with the aftermath of their war. He says that because of the gods fighting that’s why we have wars against one another for the gods entertainment and to see who is superior. So, based off of the poem by Ovid he shows how the gods play a key role in everything that involve the romans.

medea
Why does Greek Mythology portray female characters as shy and tentative? In the Greek play Medea, it portrays a nurse that is saddened by the departure of Argos and the fact that he is gone at sea. The play shows her as unable to cope with the fact that Argos has left is will be gone for a long time without any contact or communication from each other. This kills the spirit of Medea to the point that she doesn’t want to do anything nor see anyone. This is why she constantly hides her face from others so that she doesn’t catch the gaze of another man. She feels that if anyone is to see her face then they would want to marry her or take her away from Argos knowing that he is away. Not only that but she does it for herself as well so that she doesn’t look at another man and start to catch feelings for them and betray her husband. This is why every time she leaves her home and goes into town she always walks with her face down so that she doesn’t acknowledge anyone and so she can just go get what she needs and then just head back home. But all these changes when she meets Jason and she is unable to escape his gaze and then they become entangled in a love drama. This then turns out to be a violent love affair because Jason and Medea kill people then they have to hide the bodies so that no one will be able to find them so that they can get away with murder. If they don’t do this then they will be discovered and their love affair will get out to the public and it won't end good for either of them. So in the beginning the Greek plays show women that they are shy and don’t want to be seen but then they can turn out to be violent and aggressive.

ancient Greek love poems
Did Greek love poems change the way that people look at Greek mythology and the heroic tales that come with it? Love poems in ancient Greece started a new trend and led to a new sense of writing in a time that only involved great masculine tales of heroes and kings of war and victory. For many years that’s the type of tales that would be told in ancient Greece that foretold what happened in history and oral stories that were told to amuse the young children and give courage to the soldiers that were going into battle. But as Sappho's writing began she was one of the only female Greek writers to be creating stories at the time and began to write love poems. These poems weren't the typical writing or stories being told at the time she went away from the masculine type tales to more romantic and loving stories that get people feeling and opening themselves up to love. She goes into detail about the way that women are treated with the way the love their spouses and she even talk about lesbian lovers as well and in ancient Greece that was never heard of. So same sex relationship was never really thought of as ok or appropriate for women to partake in. She revolutionized writing about same sex literature and made it feel ok for women to have a lesbian lover and that it was ok for them to love each other and to not hide the love they have for others. While Sappho wrote about the romantic parts of love Catullus wrote about the conflicting pains and pleasures of bitter sweet love. So, with these two poets writing about love and making poetry that most people now can relate to is amazing because we have different perspectives from ancient Greece other than war stories and hero tales.

Greek mythology
If Greek mythology was never invented would we have the Greek heroes and stories today that helped mold over hero stories? Greek heroes gave us a sense of what a normal person is capable to the point that they seem like as if they were a god. It also shows that at any given moment someone can step up and be a hero in their everyday life whether it's in war or just during the day by stopping a crime as you see one. They also give us a reciliation of what happened in the past and gives us the tales on how this person became a hero. For example, like Hercules and his tale of all the deeds that he had to accomplish in his life. The tales of him and the people that wrote about him gave us the stories we know that glorify all his accomplishments and how they molded future heroes today. Same goes for Greek mythology and giving us stories from ancient Greek life and how it was in war, as a citizen, and from political life as well. Greek mythology helps us remember how wars were and how crazy they were and how the Greeks would victories in all of their battles and wars. This lead to other countries and other time periods to do the same thing and give tales about how valiant and courageous all the soldiers were in such a horrible time. This lead to the creation of history because the way these stories would be told it gave us the way to teach future generations about what happened in the past so that everything from the ancient times can live on through the years. If the Greeks never told their stories or came up with their mythology we wouldn’t have all the favorite heroes that we have now like Achilles, Hercules, Homer, or Perseus. Nor would we have all the tales from all the ancient wars or the political views that we have now to look back to so that we can model our country from and to improve from as well.

Egyptian love poems
Can ancient Egyptian poems be used today to tell more of a detailed story of our love life's and what we go through each and every day? Poems in Egypt during 1300-1100 B.C.E told a story of different themes, genres, and styles. Most of these genres or styles were always used to honor the dead on their tombstones, stone stelae, and statues. A lot of the Egyptian poems were used so that a story can be shared and so that everyone can come together one day and hear this story whether the person is dead or still alive. The Egyptian literature and poems influenced the world because ancient Greece modeled their literature after the Egyptians. The way that we have these Egyptian literatures is because the Greeks using some of the old tales to influence their writing after so if it wasn’t for the Greeks we wouldn’t know about the ancient Egyptians literature or writing styles. In ancient Egypt one family or one of a hundred people would be responsible for reading and writing down all of their stories. So, since the vast majority of all the people couldn’t read or write then all of the stories would be given orally so they can be spread and shared amongst everyone. Now as times changed schools would be built so that more people would be able to read and write because a lot of the old families are starting to die and fade away, so the Egyptian society needs more people to keep their records. As schools grew so did the literature by having the production of tales, wisdom text, dialogues, and complaints. So, these genres employed complex imaginary settings and narrative frames such as cycles of stories. So, this began the trend of new and modern thinking's of literature. The ancient Egyptians were some of the founders of our modern literature because they were the first ones to start molding literature and giving us the frame that we use today to write stories and poems.

The Invention of Writing and the Earliest Literatures
The ancient society has led to a big growth to what we know as literature today. They gave us a foundation to build upon and to use starting from oral storytelling to symbols written on clay slabs to what we now know as modern writing. early writing evidence of writing started off as shapes to tell a story and to write down information, so we can have the evidence of what happened in the past. having this information dating back till about 3000 to 2990 B.C.E helped to shape and to mold our current form of writing that lets us express our emotions on paper, so it can be saved for many years to come. Oral story telling has been pasted down from generation to generation and even till this day most of the personal stories that we know are still orally given to our family and friends. But as time goes on and as the stories get passed on details begin to change and the original form of that story begins to change and isn't original anymore. New details begin to be added facts change to make the story sound better so that people can feel prouder of the story that they are telling and so that people can be more interested in the story being told. There is no evidence of oral stories because of the fact that they weren't written down, so they can be found such as the clay tablets that we have found from Egypt with symbols and lines written everywhere. But now our new form of writing is letters and now we tell more stories that are original and personal to us and tell a more modern story of our personal life's. If it wasn’t for ancient writings we wouldn’t have all of the influences that we have now and wouldn’t have all the literature pieces to look back on to study and learn from.
