me ranting to opal has made me remember some good headcanons and such about bumblebee

no one takes bumblebee as seriously as they should in the tyran movies. sure, he’s a “kid”. he is generally one of the youngest cybertronians around. he’s typically in good spirits, bee likes to joke around and have fun with his allies. but this does not make him any less of a threat.

in tlk, we learn of bumblebee’s involvement in wwii through sir edmund. cade’s response? “but he seems so nice” DESPITE bumblebee constantly and consistently having cade’s back, and cade having witnessed bumblebee on the field. it seems everyone forgets that bumblebee is in fact a warrior. OPTIMUS LEFT HIM IN CHARGE FOR A REASON. but crosshairs, hound, and drift? don’t seem to give a hoot. maybe this is because they don’t know bee as well as the original team, who knows

is he optimus? no. did he keep up pretty well with a bot who is not only nearly twice his size AND a prime? yes my boi fucking did.

all in all, the fandom and series seems to like make bee into comedy relief and/or “too innocent for his own good” lets remember folks, he may be inexperienced in certain fields but this bot lived with sam for how many years and we know sam wasn’t innocent either.

so despite mistakes, such as being caught with a tracker, we gotta respect the bee as it stands for badass

cities weren’t ideal anymore, once being the easiest place to hide; now there were too many eyes trained on what to look for. thankfully, the human in weird pyjamas doesn’t seem to know what he’s looking at and for that the scout is thankful-- crosshairs would never let him hear the end of it otherwise. 

awkwardly rocking on his wheels, he’s scrambling for a game plan while the red youth ( although his scanners weren’t as accurate as ratchet’s, the human’s readings were close to sam’s when they had first met. HORMONES. ) eyes him. shifting slowly into reverse, before gassing it out of the alley.

   Something floods inside her, like a vicious sense of PANIC slowly consuming whatever hope and JOY  she had following the battle. Their survival came with another loss, one that could either be temporary or indefinite. The only thing keeping Rey steady was the vague line between the two. He’d be back, he’d have to be back– right ?

“ They need you, Bee. ”

   She presents a smile, her hands reaching to cradle his face. Her touch is soft, and loving. It’s all to steady him, to FORCE him to look at her. He needs  to go, there’s no questioning it now. He needed to be with his family, his allies. They needed him more than she did, and because of that she was willing to let go. He’d be back, she’d tell herself. Even if she WASN’T SURE.

“ I’m proud of you, don’t forget it. You’ll need to be ready for whatever else is coming. ”

   She stands on her toes, giving him a small peck. Rey wasn’t going to think any further about it, she couldn’t, not now. She’d think about it later, on the ride home, side by side with strangers she’d eventually forget. But for now, she’d just smile.
