I’m returning to Tumblr, THE place of fandom culture, to announce my Draco Malfoy fan fiction, called “Origami”! I’ve been working on this thing for weeks and it would be so cool if you would all read it. Here’s the short plot:
Dani Willows is a proud Ravenclaw and praises herself for her wit and eagerness to learn. So much so, that she can't stand when people know something that she doesn't. So far, she has always been one of the top students of Hogwarts, but that position seems threatened when she sees Slytherin bully Draco Malfoy make a paper origami bird fly across the classroom, a charm she, much to her dismay, doesn't know yet. Longing to learn the spell, she tries to befriend the entitled wizard. Just for information. Just to learn the charm. Right?

New article!
Throughout our #Triggered project we asked all our interviewees what movies or series they’d recommend! (And yes stannies, including Willem Herbots)

Hey!! Thank you so much for your comment on my article. I’ll take any criticism tbh. I’m still learning and I am indeed a fan of the show. I do agree with almost everything Joris and Willem told me, but I really wanted to let their opinions shine in these interviews. We post our own opinions in our reviews, which you can find here! https://hashtagtriggered.wixsite.com/blog/blog/categories/reviews
I really appreciate you taking the time to write all this though and I’ll definitely take it into account in the future! <3
Those articles were clearly written by a fan of the show. Like it’s good writing, but as a journalist they could have pushed back on some of what both WH and the psychologist said. The articles honestly felt like glowing reviews of wtfock with quotes from people involved with the show thrown in.
Even though it might sound kind of harsh to whoever wrote the article, I do agree a lot with you anon. As a history student that has to write papers all the time, I know the importance of staying or at least trying to stay objective as much as possible when conducting research, even if what you’re writing about affects you personally or has a lot of meaning to you and as you said, both the interviews w the psychologist and with willem herbots weren’t necessarily as objective as they could’ve been. As I’ve said in another ask; I do agree about what the on set psychologist said about wtfock caring for the safety of its viewers, but I think it’s only applicable to what they did during s2. They made some serious mistakes during s3 that compromised the safety of their (lgbt) viewers, something that the psychologist clearly stated, during the interview, wtfock as a show is against, because of the way mental health issues and trauma get romanticised in hollywood (for example 13 reasons why, riverdale, etc.). Again idk who wrote the article and I know how hard it can be to stay objective, but I do agree that the journalist in question should’ve at least tried to counter especially the psychologist, because he clearly stated things in the interview that weren’t true at all, like wtfock including triggerwarnings before every possibly triggering clip. No bad feelings or hate at all towards the person that wrote the articles. I don’t know how old they are or how practiced they are as a journalist, and I’m definitely aware that nerves or the amount of time that the interviewees had for the interviews could’ve played a big role in how the articles turned out! It was overall very insightful, especially the article with the on set psychologist, even though what was said wasn’t necessarily applicable to both s2 and 3. 💕

I loved how you focused on mental health in your article because a lot of people write off the ‘Isak/Robbe’ characters mental health and focus on ‘Even/Sander’s’ bipolar only. S3 has so many great representations as well as the sexuality storyline! We’re you able to meet Willem in person or was the article done over online? Great work ❤️
Thank you for your lovely words! Because of the whole quarantine situation, I had to do the interview via Skype. But still, he was very kind and I loved interviewing him!

Willem seems like such a thoughtful and sweet guy. You’re so lucky to have spoken to him. Thanks for the article. You said there’s more coming tomorrow right?
He was such a nice person and really wanted to be involved in the writing process which I really appreciated. He’ll be featured in an article we post tomorrow, but don’t expect too much of it 😂
