I lost a friend because I want to dye my hair “gay liberal colors” (her words) and it sent her on a homophobic tirade. If that’s not a summary of 2017 idk what is.

🌊Sea Divination🌊

Materials 🔮
1. A bowl
2. A small stick of driftwood
3. Ocean water
General Steps 🔮
1. Sharpen one end of the stick into a point (this will be the end to pay attention to)
2. Fill the bowl with ocean water
For finding lost objects 🔮
1. Hold the bowl in your hands
2. Envision what you are looking for and direct your energy into the bowl of water
3. Drop the driftwood into the center of your bowl
4. Watch the direction the wood spins or the side of the bowl the wood drifts to and follow it much like you would with a pendulum until the item is found
For yes or no questions🔮
1. Hold the bowl in your hands and focus your energy into the water
2. Drop the driftwood into the center of the bowl
3. First ask the drift wood to show you yes
4. Take note about which direction it points in or which side of the bowl it floats to
5. Repeat those steps for no
6. Ask your question and watch the wood
7. The direction it lands on is your answer
If the wood refuses to spin try another piece or gently swish the water around to charge with more energy.
This works for all types of witches but the materials used here are ocean based. To make it more personal to your craft switch up the materials to reflect your practice.

How Do I Practice If I’m Busy? | New Witch Q&A
Too busy with school, college, a job? Or a combination to do witchcraft? Here’s a guide on how to incorporate witchcraft into your daily life so you can continue to practice & progress despite being busy! Routine Step one is routine, routine, routine! If you’re busy it can be difficult to set aside time for witchcraft. You have to find some time to sit down, and mark it on your calendars. Set alarms too! What Do I Set Aside Time For? You might be asking yourself, where do I even start with that? What do I set alarms for, what do I mark on my calendar? Here’s a little list to help! Cleansing (Once a week or so preferably but do what works for you!) When you have spare time, look into methods of cleansing yourself, your space, and your tools. Then put it in your routine. Charging A great time to charge all of your tools/crystals is during the full moon, it’s a really easy way to do it too. Set an alarm to remind you it’s the full moon & when you can lay out all of your witchy stuff in a windowsill! Warding When you can, look into warding & find a method you like. Set aside time to put up several layers of wards. WARNING: This will make you very tired, so plan it out carefully. Then, once a week or as I said above whenever you can, refill the wards with energy. What About Other Stuff? Enchantment This is a good thing to set aside time for in addition to the regular stuff. With a bit of planning ahead, you can enchant objects to do all sorts of things. Some useful ones I’ve heard that I think would especially apply to the busy witch would be enchanting a pencil to help you remember what you write, or enchanting a tip jar to get a little extra cash! Either way, you get the idea. When you’re facing a problem & need a little extra help, enchant! Drinks Do you drink coffee or tea in the morning? Excellent! Bless your coffee/tea before you drink it. You could enchant it too, stir clockwise to bring something & counter clockwise to banish it. Come up with an intention & use this method! Divination Every morning, pull a single card from a deck you use for divination. That can be playing cards, tarot, oracle, ect. Doesn’t matter! This could be a general reading or a question that’s been bugging you. Write down the card you get, & interpret it & your day later! Takes about 5 minutes in the morning and 5 or more minutes in the evening. Grimoire I know you see these pretty grimoires all over tumblr, pinterest, ect. But those are not necessary & not for the busy witch! Take notes in a binder, it’s easy, cheap, & organized. Over time as you collect notes on certain subjects you’ll see patterns & interests form, THEN you can make big pretty organized/aesthetic pages. Meditation Meditation doesn’t have to be hard or complicated or time consuming. Do it for 5 minutes or more in the morning/evening! Sigils Look online & find a method of sigil making you enjoy, keep it written out on a piece of paper & a few extra sheets of paper to make sigils with! On the go magick. Crystals If you have a few crystals, you can carry them with you each day based on correspondence or program them to do things! Super quick. Reading The best way to advance your knowledge & practice is to read! I know as with many things on this list it can sound overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. Even a few pages or an article a day can really help you! — I hope this helped you or you learned something! Enjoy! Have a lovely day 💖

Weight of the World Spell
This spell is meant to help you lift the weight of the world off of your shoulders. Use it in times of stress and negativity in order to bring peace into your life.
Materials:
- a yellow or white candle
- Frankincense incense
- aventurine or rose quartz
- slip of paper + something to write with
- a quiet place to meditate or relax
Directions:
Light your incense and let the smoke and aroma cleanse your space. Once you feel the incense has taken into effect, light your candle and place it in front of you in a safe place. You may now meditate (or simply relax) and focus on your flame. Watch the flame and let its flicker sooth you. Once you feel calm, you may close your eyes and breathe in three slow, deep breaths. Holding your crystal in your hands, feel its healing energy transfer over to you. You may chant aloud to yourself (or in your head): “My burdens are now laid to rest. I gain peace from this healing quest.” Repeat as many times as you feel necessary. Next, pull out the slip of paper and write down a personal goal you have to help overcome this difficult time, whatever that may be for you. (Ex. “I will make peace with myself,” etc.) Once completed, place your paper under your front door mat until manifested.
Side note: This spell isn’t meant to take the place of any medical treatment or therapy. It is an aid in healing, but please be safe and take care of yourselves :)

🖤 Spell Jar for Protection 🖤
Ingredients/Equipment
Chilli Flakes (or Chilli Powder, whatever's around) - to ward off unwanted guests
Rosemary - purification, protection
Salt - absorbing negative energy, protection, purification
Black Pepper (both peppercorns and grounded) - banish negativity, protection from evil
3 Bay Leaves - protection from harmful energies
Protection Sigil or a Banish Negativity Sigil
Preferably Black Candle to seal the jar (white may be used as a substitute as I have done)
A Jar
A Funnel (trust me, if you don't use one shit will go everywhere, make and use a homemade paper funnel if you need to)
Spell Method
Cast a protective circle or do your own pre-spell rituals, whatever works for you and light the candle
Cleanse your equipment and ingredients (I use specific ritual incense but again whatever works for you, sage burning, etc)
Put the ingredients in the jar one at a time, repeating a chosen affirmation for protection with each one. The order doesn't nessicarily matter as the intent is what's most important. However, I recommend leaving the bay leaves until last
Use a marker to draw a sigil that represents protection or banishing negativity on at least one of the bay leaves. If you need to break up the leaves to fit them in the jar that's okay; again, the intention is what's most important
Close the jar and seal it with the wax from the candle

To The Witch Who Doesn’t Feel “Witchy” Enough:
✨You are divine.
✨Witchcraft isn’t a competition.
✨Differences should be celebrated, not lamented.
✨You contain multitudes. Your feelings and perceptions may fluctuate, but you will always be you.
✨What another witch says about you says more about the witch than it does about you.
✨Taking a break from practicing witchcraft doesn’t mean you are taking a break from being a witch.
✨You are what you are, and that is pure magic.

☀️Sun water☀️
🌞Used for:
Protection, healing (especially physical), happiness, truth, clairvoyance, courage, strength, prosperity, luck, self-love, cleansing, confidence, leadership, justice, gardening, growth, warmth, comfort, fertility, and creativity
🌞How to make it:
Leave the water on a sunny windowsill or outside, preferably in direct sunlight. Sunrise, 9 am, 12 pm, and 3 pm are perfect times for this, or you can leave it from sunrise to sunset. You can also add herbs and flowers to it as well (lemon peels, orange peels, marigolds, chamomile, cinnamon, sunflower, etc.) Or charge it with some stones (like sunstone, orange calcite, citrine, tigers eye, goldstone or carnelian), but please don’t put these stones in the water. You can also make a sun tea with sun water for a very potent solar spell.
