Having hard time finishing the Chimera Ant Arc because it doesn't appeal to me.

When I tell you I love tragic stories don't go recommending one because then I would know it is tragic and that one or some of the characters will die. It wouldn't be fun as I'd spend my time speculating who would it be.

The daughter's urge to compare yourself to your mom and the life you want to the life she wants for you. To desire escape to the ideals she imposed to you. To leave the isolated, domesticated life she settles to. To willingly give up everything to pursue a dream you lack of support with. To defy the "mother knows best". To act that you know everything you need to know. Only to feel lost when things didn't go as planned. Only to come back to the life you despised the most and sunk into depression because mom was right, and had you listen to some of her advice maybe things would be different. Only to come home desiring for a motherly embrace because life isn't as easy as you thought it would be. Only to wish you could bring back the time and correct what was done but that is never possible.

I'm convinced some of her neighbors from her previous apartments have never encountered child-like behaviors from a child who was neglected by their parents. Those entering of their house when they weren't around and waiting for them to come home is literally a child's behavior. A child who got comfortable with her neighbor's welcoming behavior would do that. They got comfortable with the fact that there were people who aren't like the people they have previously met.

It’s actually killing me how canonically kind and sensitive Giyuu is.

He stitched the haori’s of his two loved ones together and wore it for years. He remembered Murata’s name after all this time. He felt so strongly about Sabito’s death he had to repress his feelings entirely to function again. He gave two siblings a chance to try to find a way to cure becoming a demon despite his duty to do otherwise. In the manga he helped Mitsuri up when Tengen accidentally knocked her over at the first pillar meeting we see. He wanted to try and befriend Sanemi by giving him his favorite snack.

The fact that he went from smiling so wide and tearing up over his friend slapping him to showing hardly any emotions at all–just so he wouldn’t succumb to the despair and hopelessness of his grief, just so he could keep living–it’s so heartbreaking.
