Spencer: Yes. Slow.

Caleb: Okay. Tomorrow. Text me when you think you can get here. I have the sitter lined up all day.

Spencer: I know.

Spencer: But this keeps us from making a stupider decision. So, tomorrow. At the Met. We’ll have all day together.

Caleb: It’ll be good. And slow.

Spencer: We’re on the same page. I know I should think this through more, but all the negatives don’t keep me from wanting to see you.

Caleb: I wish you didn’t have that dinner.

Spencer: Probably, yes.

Caleb: I don’t think I care.

[calebinyc]

Spencer: No. I don’t think anything’s going to compare to what being with you will be like.

Caleb: Are we already in over our heads?

Spencer: Been with, or /been/ with?

Caleb: No, I mean, there’s been two others that I’ve /been/ with but not the way I suspect it’s going to be with you.

Spencer: Is there a wrong way to take that?

Spencer: I would never try and fill Hanna’s role. She’s their mother. And your wife. I wouldn’t try and take that away from her.

Spencer: I don’t want them to see me as anything except your friend.

Caleb: No, I know you wouldn’t. I just... I don’t know how to do this. Hanna was my first girlfriend and aside from a break we had after high school, I’ve never been with anyone else.

Spencer: I know it’s going to be worth it.

Spencer: But that doesn’t mean we have to hurt them in the process. Not if we can avoid it. For now, at least.

Spencer: Especially the girls. I wouldn’t do anything to jeopardize your relationship with them.

Caleb: I don’t want you to take this the wrong way but... they like you. They do. But we have to keep us away from them because it’ll only confuse them I think.

Spencer: Trust me, I wish I could. But this is important for Toby’s career, and all of this is complicated enough as it is without him wondering why I’d blow this off.

Caleb: I know. Just like you know if I’d have to be somewhere with Hanna. And we haven’t even done anything. So it’s not like we even know if...

Caleb: We barely know the risk yet.

Spencer: The Chief invited a few potential future detectives for dinner. A ‘meet and greet’ type of deal. I have to play doting wife.

Caleb: That does sound important.

Caleb: I still want to ask you to skip it.

Spencer: Not now. Now - Toby has an important dinner tonight I have to go to.

Spencer: Tomorrow.

Caleb: What kind of dinner?

Spencer: When?

Caleb: Now? Tomorrow?

Spencer: And you know I love museums.

Caleb: I did happen to remember that.

Spencer: I’d love to go to the Met.

Caleb: It’s public but quiet and there are places we can talk. Or not talk. Just see each other.

Spencer: If we’re alone, I don’t think I’d stop myself from throwing myself at you.

Caleb: We could go to the Met.

Spencer: I don’t know. You know New York better than I do.
