"I wouldn't be ripping your ear off." She huffed, turning to head inside the cafe. It was intentional that she didn't mention his comment about her needing sleep, as it usually was. "It got really hot inside because we're preparing for the morning rush, so I stepped outside to cool off. You, however, would've walked all the way here without a jacket." Her tone wasn't exactly scolding, but more playful as she stepped around the counter.
"What can I make you today? Have you eaten?"
Yunho let out a laugh and shook his head as he finally made it to the Cafe. He stood there before shrugging. "Well since Toda is technically my day off I figured coffee was exactly what I needed." He teased before raising an eyebrow up. "You look like the one who needs sleep noona."
Yunho rubbed the back of his neck. "Also why aren't you wearing a jacket atleast? It's cold out here. If I wasn't wearing a jacket you would be ripping my ear off." He said rubbing his ear at the thought. "Does this mean I can tug you inside by your ear?"

Bom looked up as she heard the familiar voice, smiling warmly as soon as she saw him. "Good morning. Shouldn't you be cramming in some sleep?" She finally stood up, stretching her arms over her head with a loud yawn. Why did she have to mention sleep?
"Hopefully you're not here for coffee? I can't imagine you trying to stay up any longer."

It was late at night, but Bom couldn't sleep. That meant, she was at the cafe helping out at 2 in the morning. Well, was. Currently, she had made her way outside and was sitting on the bench to cool off. The bakery was busy prepping for the morning rush, and it made the cafe grow quite warm inside. At first, the cool air didn't bother her bare arms, though she did start shivering the longer she sat out there. Unfortunately, her feet were far too comfortable to actually get up and move back inside.

Bom was just about to indulge in a pesky habit that seemed obsessed to pop up whenever she was stressed when she saw the officer step out of his car. Quickly, she slipped the pack of cigarettes back into her apron pocket, bowing politely towards the man. "Black? Or perhaps you'd like to try an Americano?" Her cafe absolutely served what he considered 'normal' coffee, making sure to always keep a few fresh pots brewed at all times. It was more popular in the mornings and evenings, but it was also one of the easiest items they served. While it wasn't her taste at all, she was very business minded and knew how essential it was.
It was only a few moments later that she followed him inside and walked around the counter, motioning for her employees to remain seated as she washed her hands. "Iced Americanos have become quite popular. It's still black, but I like making sure it's a little less bitter. We also have fresh pastries, if you'd like something to nibble on." That business minded side of her never seemed to quit, but of course this time it wasn't about a sale. She hadn't seen this particular officer before, but she always made sure they could get a free cup of coffee and a snack. For the most part, it was a good business practice without even so much as scratching at her profits. "If you have a few minutes, I could also heat up a sandwich."

The first round of the morning rush was over, and the relief was clear on everyone's faces inside of the cafe, including the owner Bom. She shooed several of the employees off to go rest at the empty tables before she started cleaning up behind the counter. In the process, she even encouraged some of them to make drinks and grab something to eat as she cleaned up, knowing they had about an hour before it would get busy again. It was still quite early in the morning, but people still had work to rush to. Luckily, the rushes were easy to predict through the week.
As she wiped down the counters, she placed the used dishes in the sink to be washed more thoroughly in a few moments. Bom took a lot of pride in her successful cafe, and even more in her employees that made it as successful as it was. Sure, to a passerby it might seem like her employees were being lazy as they spread out at the different tables, chatting and enjoying their breakfasts. To Bom, they were taking a well needed break and she would easily defend that to anyone who dared to say something about it.
"Aish…It's so hot in here." The bakery was in full swing in the back of the cafe, being a separate business alongside supplying the cafe, and the heat was starting to flow through. Walking around the counter, she propped open the main door to the cooler fall air, even stepping outside to take in the cooler temperatures. She still had her apron on as she sat down on the bench just beside the door, chuckling softly to herself as the smell of the bakery began escaping the propped open door and onto the street. While it was a nice tactic she used to lure customers in during the first year of the cafe, now it was just a side effect of making the cafe itself more comfortable.

Not every road leads to home, and not every tale is one to be fully told. That's the fun of living though, isn't it? Not only to follow your own path, but to try and make sense of the mysteries that are along the way. Many faces, many stories, and many names...Each one determined to be in charge of their own fates, for better or for worse. Lives filled with hope and destruction, all trying to keep their heads above the water.

"Thank you" he said for the compliment and nod his head to Bom's suggestion's of styling the new scarf. "I'm glad you like it even more in person and you're very much welcome. As soon as you stated you liked them I knew we had to have them as soon as possible." he added. "Now, now, you know what I am here for besides coming in to visit you. You promised me some piiiictures, right?"
"OH! Pictures!! Right!" She quickly put the scarf back into it's box, making sure the box was securely closed before pulling her phone from her pocket. As she set her phone down on the table, she quickly pulled up her photo albums, immediately tapping on the one that had pictures of their children. After scrolling through for a few moments, she quickly tapped on one photo in particular of a mishap with Minho and the soccer ball that Dasom had apparently given a fairly powerful kick to. "To be fair, Minho was acting like the goal, so she was just doing what he wanted."

He kept himself busy with his phone, patiently waiting for Bom to join him at the table. The idol put his phone away as soon as she returned and he greeted her with a smile. "This is for you" he grinned and pushed the box towards Bom. "Now we're twinning and are more eligible to annoy poor Minho" he chuckled.
Bom bowed her head as she reached out for the box, opening it to look at the scarf inside. "It looks so good on you! Now I can find the perfect outfits. It's much easier when it's actually in your hands rather than just in a picture." Taking the scarf from the box, she was careful not to let it touch the just slightly messy table. Clearly, it was a busy day in the back of the cafe, as flour seemed to be on almost every flat surface. It was even on Bom's own clothes which was why she held the scarf up high and kept it folded as she looked at it. "Navy blue will absolutely work with this. Perhaps small yellow accents? Gold would be too much. Definitely not even gold jewelry." She commented with a soft laugh. "I love it, though! Thank you, Kibummie!"

Bom had to think for a moment, isolating the specific smell he could have been referring to. She shook her head after a moment, offering an apologetic smile. "I'm afraid I can't pinpoint what exactly you're smelling...There's an order being made in the back, but we also have a few things that were just brought out." She took a few steps over to the bakery case, motioning to the large assortment of desserts on display. "I do believe Haneul recently brought out the mochi donuts, some fluffy cheesecake and..." It took her a few moments before she spotted the third item she knew her head baker had recently brought forward. "And pumpkin bread!"
Behind the woman was a large menu, of course, but also a smaller version of it printed on the glass wall surrounding the drink area. While coffee was obviously the dominant smell, there were also many other drinks that were offered. From tea, to boba, to milkshakes and smoothies, fresh juice, and then of course bottled drinks. "As for drinks...We can make almost anything." Rushing back over, she tapped the glass wall so he could see the menu.
It was one of those days where Bom was much more active in her cafe. Her head baker was trying a new round of sweets for the menu, something that could be made all year round but be just as popular as their usual menu. It smelled amazing, and it made Bom even more hesitant to leave.
Instead, she was busy making drinks at the counter. At the moment, the cafe was in a sort of lull. Sort of. While there weren't too many customers inside, there were a bunch of mobile orders that needed to get filled. Seeing the man standing in the doorway, she smiled warmly and waved cheerfully. "Hello! Come in, come in! What can I get started for you?"

After picking up the order he's been waiting for, the two matching autumn scarves they have been talking about, Kibum got ready and walked to Bom's coffee shop, making sure to use the entrance the other has told him about. He peeks from behind the half open door before entering the room with a big smile on his face. "Hello hello." he said in a cheerful way as he walked up to Bom with a beautiful box bearing the gift in his hands, Kibum already wearing the scarf around his neck. "Look what came in the mail today!"
Bom was finishing up boxing a delivery order when she caught a glimpse of the back door opening, smiling brightly as soon as she saw Kibum. "Hey! Take a seat...Wherever. Give me just a few to finish this up." She motioned over to a set of chairs, grabbing the next round of cakepops to put into a box as carefully as possible. After two more boxes, she finally stepped over and dropped down into a chair. "Hi!"

Like this for a starter from Bom.
Each thread will be treated like it's own little verse unless someone requests otherwise.
Also, I will NOT be making short starters. These will be a few paragraphs at least, and while I don't at all ask that you match, I just want to give that warning in case that's something that just isn't up your alley atm.
