Synchronization Between Prosthesis and Senses

Augmented Reflexes: His bionic arm could have a feedback system connected to his heightened senses, allowing it to respond to auditory or visual cues faster than he can consciously react. For instance, if he hears a sudden change in someone’s heartbeat behind him (indicating they’re approaching or tensing up), his arm could twitch or adjust as if ready to defend or counter.

Haptic Feedback in the Arm: The prosthesis could have sensors that translate environmental data into subtle vibrations or pressure signals, which Piers can feel. For example, in low-light or when he’s using his thermal vision, his arm might subtly vibrate in response to nearby heat sources, giving him a “sixth sense” of people around him without needing to look.

Sensory Overload Thresholds and Control Mechanism

Virus-Triggered Sensory Intensity: When the Virus exerts more control, his senses might intensify to the point where every heartbeat, heat signature, or movement becomes sharply defined and almost overwhelming. This state would enhance his perception but at the cost of mental strain, making it harder for him to focus or maintain rational thought.

Adaptive Mutation in His Arm

Augmented Physical Connection: The prosthetic side of his arm might integrate more closely with the mutating side over time. This would create a unique “fusion” effect where the prosthetic adapts, mirroring changes in the mutation, like absorbing textures or contours that appear on his mutated tissue. This would blur the line between machine and biology even further, reflecting his struggle to retain his humanity.

Predator-Like Instinct Mode

Automatic Threat Detection: If his hearing detects an elevated heartbeat or his eye picks up sudden movement, it could trigger an “instinct mode” where his sensory focus shifts fully onto the target—heightening his reaction time and awareness of that individual’s actions. This would make him hyper-focused on potential threats, though it risks distracting him from other surroundings.

Animalistic Responses to Stress: When the Virus exerts control, Piers’ responses could become more instinctual. Enhanced Detection Range: It has a heightened sensitivity to heat, allowing Piers to detect temperature variations at greater distances than typical human sight.

Animalistic Heat Tracking: When focusing on specific targets, the eye can lock onto a heat signature, similar to a predator tracking prey, enhancing Piers’ ability to track movement and body warmth.

Pupil Adjustment: In thermal mode, the pupil may dilate or change shape, resembling a slit-like predator’s eye to help focus on heat rather than visible light.

Automatic vs. Controlled Pupil Changes: If Piers is calm and in control, he can keep his pupil in a regular, human-like shape even when using the mutated eye’s abilities. But in moments of high stress, anger, or when the Virus is trying to assert dominance, the pupil slits involuntarily, reflecting the Virus’s increased control.

Vision Focus During Virus Influence: When the Virus asserts dominance and the pupil slits, Piers’ depth perception sharpens, narrowing his field of view to focus on potential threats or “prey.” His peripheral vision dims slightly, forcing a tunnel vision effect that aids the Virus’s instinct-driven behavior.

Heat Intensity Flare: In cases of extreme Virus influence, the eye may highlight intense heat sources more aggressively, causing them to “flare” in Piers’ vision—almost as if they’re pulsing or glowing. This can heighten his predatory response but risks overwhelming his senses.

Subtle Visual Indicators for Others: The slitting pupil and dimmed colors provide a subtle, outward indicator to others around Piers, showing that he’s in a state of diminished control and that the Virus is actively exerting influence.

Dual Vision Complexity: Piers’ normal eye functions like a typical human eye, processing visible light and color, while his mutated eye prioritizes thermal readings and has limited color sensitivity. When using both eyes together, his brain has to integrate two different types of visual input, which can cause sensory conflict or strain if he doesn’t focus.

Strain and Fatigue: Balancing the two types of vision is tiring. Extended use of the mutated eye in thermal mode can lead to eye strain, headaches, or even temporary blurring in his normal eye due to the effort of integrating both feeds.

C-Virus & Hearing

I thought I’d share a few more details on other things the virus affects, this time we’ll be covering hearing with a few points under the cut!

Hyper-Acute Hearing: Piers’ hearing is extremely sensitive, allowing him to pick up on subtle sounds like heartbeats from a significant distance, even through layers of clothing or other background noise.

Unique Heartbeat Signatures: Each person’s heartbeat has a slightly different rhythm, speed, and strength. With time, Piers can learn to distinguish these subtle differences, allowing him to recognize specific people by their heartbeat alone.

Filtering Mechanism: His brain has developed a filtering mechanism that lets him isolate heartbeats from other sounds. He can “tune in” to the beat of someone nearby while filtering out ambient noise, like conversations or footsteps.

Heightened Stress Detection: Since heart rate and intensity change with emotions, Piers can detect when someone’s heartbeat quickens (indicating stress, fear, or excitement) or slows (signaling calmness or sleep), giving him insight into their emotional state.

Background Detection Mode: Piers’ hearing is tuned to detect irregularities, like sudden changes in a heartbeat. This allows him to “sense” if someone nearby is experiencing fear, surprise, or exertion, even without actively listening to them.

Sound Map of Heartbeats: In familiar settings, Piers can form a mental “sound map” of people’s heartbeats, knowing where each person is within a room based on their rhythm and position. This allows him to keep track of movement even without direct line of sight.

Virus Influence: When the Virus is more dominant, Piers’ hearing may shift to prioritize certain heartbeats, especially those that indicate fear or vulnerability, aligning with predatory instincts. This shift might cause him to lose some conscious control over what he listens to.

There’s about a million and one things about this game that I could say and already have so I’ll TRYYYYYYYY to keep this short but like just. Thank you. For LITERALLY everything. Thanks to this game for quite literally changing the trajectory of my L I F E and helping me grow my skills as an artist and most importantly grow as a PERSON???? Like I have grown S O much and I never would’ve done it without this game. Finding comfort and embracing my autism and transmasculinity, getting opportunities I never otherwise would’ve, generally just being a happier person etc etc HCBENENDJX

But MOOOOOST IMPORTANTLY thank you to everyone I’ve met through this????????? To all my close friends and people who I see regularly in my notifications and all the people who’ve been SO so kind and who I feel like the LUCKIEST GUY ON EARTH to know and call my friends???????? I didn’t expect to be back here only three months later but here we are 🤷

I’ll start with Atlas, who, to me, was always weird. They joined a now nuked server about a month ago, one dedicated to sharing experiences and, to put it bluntly, talk shit about Cavalry, which Atlas did AVIDLY, Atlas would join calls and talk shit for hours on end, one such call I have screen recorded for a little while. I’m not going to add all the screenshots of all the dirty Atlas did, I couldn’t be fucked getting met with the “it was my friend, Athena!!” excuse because either way; YOU are a groomer or your friend is a groomer, no one cares.

One) It is weird for a 14 y/o to date an 11 y/o, I think we can ALL agree on that. That on its own isn’t okay, regardless of the validity of the screenshots of Atlas saying sexual shit to an 11 year old, venting to an 11 year old, SRPING with an 11 year old, etc and if it really WAS your friend (Which I don’t believe, why wouldn’t you say it was your friend the first few times you were called out if this was the case?) then your friend is a groomer, you are friends with a groomer.

Two) I also think we can all agree it’s weird for a 16 year old to date someone who just turned 14 too, legally and morally that isn’t okay. Cavalry has been the number one Atlas meat rider so far which tells me SO much about them, a real friend would have pulled their mate up and said “Nah man, that actually is really weird.” Real friends let their friends know when they’re wrong.

Three) I just wanna get it out there that based on the dates I was given, I’m not saying this for certain but based on these dates. Atlas cheated on said 14 year old with Cavalry.

Four) Atlas has accused Cavalry of A) Sexual Harassment, B) Forcing them into incestuous situations, C)Attempting to force them to send nudes, D)Said Cavalry sent them porn, self harm and pressured them into drawing things like that, E) Suicide Baited Atlas, F) Said Cavalry tried to force them to do a Minecraft voice call sexual roleplay, G)Said Cavalry stalked them and found their address and H) Atlas has allegedly reported Cavalry to the cops twice already.

Five) As I already stated, Atlas would join calls/stages and talk shit about Cavalry for HOURS, how much PTSD Cavalry has given them, how they don’t like them, how they’re only pretending to be friends with them again because of their anxiety, etc, Atlas has made TONS of accusations about Cavalry, almost all being of a sexual nature, that leads me to question why Cavalry even believes and defends them in the current situation, you were also one of the people Atlas accused of grooming and sexual harassment.

Regardless of the validity of the screenshots that both sides provided, it still goes without saying that Atlas, at fourteen dating an eleven year old is wrong, weird and predatory, as well as dating a just turned fourteen year old at sixteen, that is also wrong, weird and predatory.

Moving on to Cavalry. We are obviously back on the allegations of them and their alters being predatory to minors once again, as well as attempted doxxing and dead-naming.

Starting out with their Damien alter, him being “ageless” isn’t a catch all, it actually makes his behaviour with a fifteen year old all the weirder!! Damien flirted, spoke sexually around and then flirted with a fifteen year old AGAIN after being asked not to do that, but it was suddenly okay in his eyes because “it was a joke” wrong! It was actually you walking all over peoples boundaries AGAIN and having a predatory alter AGAIN! You just don’t learn huh.

Two) Remus. Your entire Remus alter is a problem, Remus is ALWAYS unnecessarily sexual to random people and *checks screenshots* thinks it’s FUNNIER when he’s sexual to minors, huh! You know what that makes you? A predator!! Again!! Goddamn man, how many times can you be called out for being predatory before you get a grip and stop being predatory!

Three) Trying to SRP with a fourteen year old.. creepyyy, you know what the appropriate response to finding out someone is 14 and asking to do an SRP? “No, I’m not doing a sexual roleplay with a minor” “No, now that I know how young you are I don’t want to do this.” The INAPPROPRIATE response is “I’ll roleplay with you if you’re sure about the age gap.” That makes you. A. Predator AGAIN! That’s three times this year man, are you going for a world record?? It sure seems like it.

Cavalry, maybe YOU shouldn’t believe everything Atlas says because they have slandered you as a groomer and a perpetrator of sexual harassment for a month now, you as someone they had already accused of grooming and sexual harassment should have questioned them instead of schmeat riding. It doesn’t matter whether some of the SS were actually Athena or not, they admitted they did date, the timeline they gave in the server before it got deleted showed them cheating on Jamie WITH you, they dated and that is still wrong, 11 and 14 and 14 and 16 isn’t okay either for more reasons than just legally.

Also the fact you have taken the side of someone who said they only forgave you and continue to be your friend because they feel like you’re pressuring them into doing it tells me a lot about how lonely you are ☹️

Atlas was in on every single ploy and game that was played as a front to get Cavalry to say something they could use to call them out with, quite frankly Atlas ORCHESTRATED a very large portion of those incidents, including but not limited to; Giving people invites to servers Cavalry was also in and giving people fake identities to get dirt on Cavalry, trying to trick Cavalry into making sexual comments to minors so they could call them a pedophile, was a part of a different call out post made about Cavalry, etc. They have spent an entire month saying Cavalry is a groomer and a pedophile, not to mention on a call, Atlas also said Cavalry is the type of person who would fiddle their younger brother and sister.

Something I always tell myself is that if you remain calm while someone screams at you and curses at you in the most immature manner you've ever seen, you will eventually get them to realize they are being needlessly cruel.

However I have just been cruely reminded by @/phantomhunt that this is not always the case. Our Remus fictive accidentally triggered them multiple days ago, and hadn't had a chance to apologize. Someone messaged them with our side system's past and they proceeded to decide we hadn't changed at all.

Which is not true at all, but regardless. Their Virgil alter then began cursing at us and demanding a "good enough excuse" for what Remus had done. We told them, multiple times, Remus hadn't been aware of their triggers at the time and was reminded and going to apologize; but hadn't yet had a chance to.

They continued to curse and talk down to us as if we were below them. Then we told them not to speak to us that way, they said "no, I will." And forced our Remus alter to front in a triggering situation while their anti-septiceye alter talked to us like we are the dirt beneath their feet.

We checked their status and they had "splitting: interact with extreme caution" with abbreviations. We realized they were having a BPD induced meltdown and we blocked them after saying if this is how they react to an innocent mistake, we shouldn't be friends.

So to everyone with BPD. If you split on somebody and start cursing them out snd threatening them and saying things like "either you force your alter to front when they aren't comfortable or we'll block and report you on all platforms" and someone calls you on how abusive and manipulative those actions are...don't continue to be online. Step away from the keyboard and calm yourself down.

They are 19. Acting like a toddler because we didn't want to force our alter to front and take the verbal abuse they threw our way.

Pathetic. I know they won't see this and I am glad. We needed a space to vent.
