We spend so much of our lives trying to protect ourselves, we live in fear of pain, of discomfort, and vulnerability. Every time we get a glimpse of that fear, naturally we close our hearts. Until someone or something comes along and cracks it open. When our hearts break open we have two choices, close it up so tight, cement it shut, seal it away so that no one can ever hurt us again or..... we let it open, we feel it, we grow, we find strength. And If we choose this path, each time life knocks us down, our hearts crack open a little more and more... So Love the people and situations that have hurt you the most, for they are your biggest blessings, they are the reasons you remember your alive :) #namaste 🙏

People kept telling me "don't put all your eggs in one basket" but I believe in the power of manifestation! I refused for one second to put any energy into the possibility that it wouldn't happen! I believe if something is meant to be and you truly want it bad enough it will happen. Even the things we don't think we can effect . And today I've been accepted Into the University Of Hawaii for fall 2014!!!!! Life is beautiful when you stay positive and trust in the universe! HELL YA! IM MOVING TO HAWAII!!!!! #universityOfHawaii #powerOfManifestation #IslandLife #lifeChanging #ohahubaby

Laying in meditation at the end of my yoga session tonight I could hear a women I've never met quietly crying. Yoga is a very healing experience so it's not uncommon. Afterwards I gave her a hug. She was so thankful and surprised at the gesture, it made her day. We ended up talking and I made an amazing new connection. We are all experiencing a shift. We all have healing to do and The world is evolving before our eyes. People need to know there not alone in this. Reach out. Give love in whatever way you can and I promise you will make a difference. Namaste :)

"If we can view life's events as "arranged" to promote spiritual advancement, not physical discomfort, we can consider painful events As being essential to our personal development rather then as punishments for our actions"

"When we come to understand our bodies relationship to movement, we get a greater understanding of our relationship to life. The success of our external experience is dependent upon our internal world. As we find balance in the relationship between body and mind we find spirit. Spirit allows us to move fluidly and purposefully So that we may find grace. This to me is the highest benefit of yoga"

After Thailand I had a week to come down, a week I spent in New Jersey with my family. During this last week I've had a lot of time to resonate with all the lessons and experiences of my yoga teacher training before heading home. Thailand was an incredible spiritual journey for me. On top of the beautiful experiences I had, I was doing yoga every day, eating consciously, writing, and doing a lot of reflection inward. Surrounded by like minded people, id find myself in deep spiritual conversations almost instantly with random strangers. In a place like that it's hard not to grow, but I found myself wondering how I would continue this journey at home. It might have been a silly thought because fortunately I live in beautiful Northern California and "all that hippy shit" is part of the culture if you know where to go. Nonetheless It got me thinking? How do I go home and continue to grow so exponentially. And I realized that periods of growth come to our lives in waves.. Sometimes it hits over night and were sent flying through a whirlwind of lessons and experiences only to land on the ground a few years wiser. Other times things feel so stagnant that we feel like we're not going anywhere. But what goes up must come down and cliche or not, it really only matters how your life looks on the inside. You don't need to be planted on a tropical island to grow and have powerful experiences. It's not a coincidence that soon as you decide you want a white Honda, you see them everywhere. Same thing goes, when you start looking for spiritual experiences to inspire growth, regardless of where you live...you will find them! When you look for outlets to express your creative self, city or suburbs you will find them, if not you will make them! When you want to be surrounded by like minded people you will meet them. The biggest piece of the puzzle is to stay centered. If your not grounded it will be really hard to continue to grow. If your so busy focusing on what's going on in every which direction it will be hard to see what's happening now. So how do you continue to stay centered? I called upon the Tarot spirits to guide me in answering this question and this is what they said... 1) BALANCE work and home life. Keep an equilibrium between your responsibilities and your recreational life. Be honest with yourself about how much time you really have And don't sacrifice something that is beneficial to your soul (like yoga) because your working to much. Make time for the stuff that matters for you health and sanity! It ain't all about the money honey. 2) Detach from drama! and that means other peoples dramas as well! It's very easy to get caught up in someone else's business. It may feel like your helping them by constantly providing an ear but how much time and energy do you give away? If you do find yourself in someone else's dramas or even your own then make sure you stay present and Protect yourself from absorbing any unwanted energies. Learn to love when life gets a little boring! It's an opportunity to see things you may haven't seen before! 3) Write! Writing is a great way to record your experiences. Get a journal, start a blog or use a word doc. Every time you get an idea or hear a phrase that speaks to you, write it down. Don't worry about spelling or punctuation, it doesn't even need to make sense to others. Just write. Whether your great with words or you struggle, it will get easier. How cool will it be to look back a year from now and remember what you learned one random day. Even cooler how great will it be to pass those journals on to your kids if you have them! These are just a few ways to help you keep your center as your journey continues. There are of course many others. For instance take classes, read books, try something new you've been wanting to do and of course DO YOGA :) Most importantly remember that life is a spiritual journey whether you partake or not. Energy flows constantly, things change but there is beauty in everything if you choose to see it! Good luck and namaste🙏 B+

Simplified Awareness
Did you ever wonder who is the one noticing, when you've noticed your Mind is playing tricks on you? Or noticed your feeling down? Who is the watcher who sees that your feeling jealous, see's enough to even express to your friend. "I was feeling jealous". That watcher is pure awareness, unbiased, un- judgmental consciousness. That watcher is you, in your purest form of being. You are not your thoughts, you are not your mind, you are not even your life story. U are just you. Simple as that. If this is hard to understand try this: Say "hello" to yourself 3 times, in your head. You can hear yourself saying it right? The mind is doing the talking. The awareness, the consciousness is doing the listening.

"It's pretty black and white. You either let go or you don't. There really isn't anything In between. So let all of your blockages and disturbances become the fuel for your journey. That which is holding you down can become a powerful force that raises you up. You just have to be willing to take the Ascent" -The Untethered soul
