Megan Hilty & Jessie Mueller to Play Patsy Cline & Loretta Lynn in TV Movie Patsy & Loretta
This pairing is a dream come true! Tony nominee Megan Hilty and Tony winner Jessie Mueller have been cast as country music legends Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn, respectively, in the new Lifetime movie Patsy & Loretta, according to TVLine. Neil Meron, who worked with Hilty on Smash, will co-produce the film, to be directed by Callie Khouri (Nashville).
Patsy & Loretta will follow the untold friendship between the two music stars, leading up to Cline’s untimely death in a 1963 plane crash.
Hilty is a Tony nominee for Noises Off, most known for her turns in Broadway’s Wickedand on TV’s Smash. She’s no stranger to country music, having originated the role of Doralee Rhodes in Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5 musical.
Mueller won the Tony Award for her performance as Carole King in Beautiful. Her Broadway credits also include Tony-nommed turns in Carousel, Waitress and On a Clear Day You Can See Forever.
Patsy & Loretta will be filmed on location in Nashville, with a premiere scheduled for late 2019.

Hi gang!
A lot of my stuff stopped working, so I’m trying a different route. Here are the parts of Jessie’s recent concert in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida that I uploaded previously all in one place! Thank you to the kind folks that messaged me about it!
Now, without further ado, please enjoy!

This is Jessie Mueller being hilarious and telling us about the time that she had to stop the show right before she was supposed to tell Billy that she loved him. It’s hysterical!.

Jessie Mueller singing “Shy” from “Once Upon a Mattress”.
NOTE: Giving some context for all of the laughter…when she started singing about fishing for a mate she actually started stalking said potential mate back and forth across the stage. Again…was losing it.

I walked into rehearsal today, and Jessie Mueller and Josh Henry were singing ‘If I Loved You’ and I immediately started to cry. It was so beautiful - so heartfelt and so beautiful

Yesterday my dad told me something that I think maybe more people need to hear.
You’re allowed to just do things for fun.
He told me that in this modern society, especially the United States, we seem to have this attitude that we shouldn’t do something unless we’re aiming to be the best at it. If we can’t sing like Beyonce or Frank Sinatra or something there’s no point to singing. If we can’t make the next big breakthrough there’s no point in looking into mechanics and engineering.
But, he tells me, it took him a long time to figure out that life doesn’t have to be a race. If you want to take up the piano when you’re a teenager or later you’re not going to master it. You’re not going to be able to play to huge concert halls, but that also shouldn’t stop you. You can study a language out of curiosity and then drop the ball if you want. You can just get okay at something or even be terrible at it. You can drop it for days or years and then pick it up again and it doesn’t have to be a shameful thing.
I’m really glad he told me that because today I opened my sketchpad for the first time in months and just started drawing. And it looks terrible. But I don’t care. I don’t have the talent or patience or spacial awareness to get anywhere near good at drawing, but it’s fun. It helps me focus my mind and nobody has to see it.
And because of what he told me, I’m thinking maybe someday soon I will take up the bass guitar. And I won’t worry about how well I do, or how fast I learn, or that I haven’t played an instrument since sixth grade, or that I don’t have that much time to practice. I’m just gonna enjoy the experience. Maybe I’ll try swing dancing again and take a class because I’m not the best dancer but damn if it isn’t fun.
Yeah, you don’t have to be good at things. It’s not a requirement. Maybe that seems obvious but it had never occurred to me before. You’re allowed to just enjoy what you’re doing. For me, that feels like a life changing revelation. I don’t have to be good at something to like it. I don’t have to put 100% effort into everything I do. It’s kind of amazing.

Conversation
Hogwarts houses in Autumn
Ravenclaw: Reading in the common room into the late night when the wind is whistling around the tower, earl grey tea, vanilla scented candles, midday naps by an open window, admiring the view of the changing trees from Ravenclaw tower, study sessions in the library on rainy days
Slytherin: Cob webs in the common room, the lake rapping hard against the windows on especially windy days, hot coffee, late night studying, the softest and coziest robes, spearmint candles, waking early and seeing frost on the ground
Gryffindor: Pumpkin carving contests, sitting by the fireplace telling stories, woodsy and musk scented candles, staying up too late with friends in the common room, evening adventures testing limits near the Forbidden Forest and Great Lake, hot chocolate, wearing their red and gold house colors more proudly than ever
Hufflepuff: strolling through the grounds on sunny yet chilly early autumn days, always being the last table to leave the Great Hall after dinner because of the enjoyment of good food and friends, pumpkin scented candles, chai tea lattes, adding a cozy blanket from home to their dormitory beds, opening windows to enjoy the breeze and smell of the earth during fall
