a/n: i write so much angst on my own time and have been too embarrassed to post any, but i started this piece and thought 'fuck it' so here it is! i may write a part two.

he thinks he might be in love the minute he sees you. his heart beats faster once he realizes you're making your way from the romance section with a novel in hand right toward his table. he quickly looks back down to his textbook, telling himself to 'act natural'.

when you sit down he can smell your delicate perfume, and his hands are starting to sweat. he can't resist the urge to look at you, and is pleasantly surprised at you looking right back, smiling softly as you meet his gaze. now's his chance!

"i'm jay." he introduces. it sounds harsher than he meant and he winces inside his head.

"i know, we have chemistry together. i'm y/n." is she really in that class? he swears he'd notice a girl like you.

"shit, sorry"

"it's okay, i hardly talk" you giggle and seem to take no offense. he smiles and pulls the sleeves of his cashmere sweater over his palms. why is he acting this way? he's never felt this way around a girl before.

"what are you reading?" he tries to sound as nice as possible.

"oh! i've just picked it out, it's called 'kimi ni todoke' it's just some cheesy romance stuff." you say slightly embarrassed. but he didn't find it embarrassing, he was too busy watching your face and listening to the sound of your voice.

he feels so silly. what is happening to him? he's acting like some schoolgirl. he catches himself after being silent a little too long and nods with hesitation.

"o-oh yeah that sounds really nice. i'm just studying for chemistry actually." he scratches the back of his neck hoping she doesn't notice how he's clearly not finished many problems on his page.

"oh this assignment! i did that yesterday, it wasn't too bad" he contemplates his response for a little while.

"would you mind helping me out? i'm struggling a little here" he chuckles.

"sure thing" you say and flash him a smile that makes his heart jump from his chest.

sunghoon and jake would never forget his dazed smile when he came back to their dorm that day, giggling to himself.

"he's freaking me out!" jake says to sunghoon, hiding behind his shoulder.

"relax, he was probably just flirting with ms. yang"

jay rolled his eyes at him.

"seriously though, what's with you, man?" jay sighs and sits down on the end of his bed.

"i met a this girl at the library and-"

"FINALLY!" jake yells way too loud for those thin dorm walls. jays eyes widen out.

"jake, you're gonna get us kicked out." jay says annoyed.

"sorry.. go on"

"well now i don't want to" jay childishly turns around, crossing his arms while biting back a smile. they don't buy into it and stay silent while blankly staring at him.

"...she helped me with chem and she was like, so fucking pretty, i was so nervous" he says reliving the experience with a glow in his eyes.

your hands sneak under his cashmere sweater and he flinches at your cold hands pressed against the warm skin of his abdomen.

"what? it's cold..." you explain yourself and hug him tighter.

"what am i going to do with you..." he says before ultimately pulling his sweater over his head and putting it over yours. you smile in satisfaction and he laughs at your blush. he's hiding his own red cheeks by looking away to sunghoon who had stopped skating to fake throw up at your cheesy actions.

sunghoon and jake were so happy for jay. they knew he has had troubles with emotional intimacy in the past that kept him from having romantic partners or many long term friends. they got the privilege of being roommates with him, so jay could only push them so far away.

you however did not have the same privilege.

it's dead silent and you clutch his cashmere sweater to your chest and inhale the scent while telling yourself to calm down. you know he'd been busy in the studio, but this was the third date he'd cancelled consecutively. it was hard to ignore his distance even when you were together. he didn't smile the same anymore. you planned to ask him about it soon as he had you worrying.

you couldn't help but feel insecure. maybe it was something you did? something you said? you wish you knew so you could fix it and see him again.

you were so excited for tonight's date, you should've known better. you put on a nice dress you'd just bought and were really looking forward to his reaction. but the excitement ended when he texted you "can't make it tonight, sorry". at least he didn't forget about it, right? ...right?

jay gets to your apartment late at night. two hours after you had given up on waiting and slipped out of your planned outfit and washed off your makeup.

you hear him come in from your huddled position on the couch but you don't move. you don't look at him. is this petty?

"sorry babe i totally forgot" he says plainly, setting a bag of takeuout on the countertop. you scoff.

"...you forgot? are you serious?" you turn your head to look at him.

"yeah i'm serious. i've been busy, you know that. i thought you were okay with that" he squints at you.

"i am! i am but, really jay? this is like the 5th time you've bailed. i feel like i never even see you anymore." you don't want him to think you don't understand his busy schedule. the last thing you want is for him to think you're being selfish.

"well i'm sorry but i'm busy, okay? it's not like i can control it." he snaps unexpectedly at you. you shift on the couch and eye him. the tension is thick between the two of you now. you feel extremely uncomfortable.

"if it bothers you so much, just break up with me already" what did he just say? you choke on your words. where the hell did that come from?

"...what?" your voice wavers. you don't even want to think about that happening. he doesn't seem surprised at his own words at all. almost like he'd been thinking about it for a while.

"i'm just saying, clearly you aren't happy, and i'm too busy. it would make sense" he hasn't made eye contact with you this entire time. your eyebrows furrow and you look down to your feet.

"do you want to break up?" your voice is so soft now, you're holding in your tears as much as you can. he doesn't respond for a moment, and stops shuffling around with things in his bag.

"maybe i do" it feels like your heart falls straight out of your chest. this is all so sudden. how did you not know he felt this way? it was your fault.. what did you do? you want to scream that you're sorry but the words won't leave your mouth.

he knows if he looks at you he won't be able to do what he's doing, so he walks right past you into your bedroom to retrieve his things. he kept a few changes of clothes here since he used to stay so often. he pulls his shirts off the hangers but purposefully leaves his cashmere sweater. he knows it's your favorite. he can break up with you, but he doesn't have it in his heart to take that part of himself from you too.

you trail past him and grab onto his shoulder to stop him but he doesn't falter. he keeps picking up his things.

"can we please talk about this? i don't understand what's going on.. i'm scared, jay" your voice hurts his heart so bad. he wants to hug you and tell you he's just kidding and that it's all okay. but he's made up his mind and he can't stop now. you give up on asking him to talk after he stays silent. you only watch his motions with a hand tightly clasped around your mouth as to physically keep your sobs in.

jay leaves you in your apartment hugging yourself so tightly your fingernails might draw blood. your cries wrack your body and your breath can't catch up with your weeping. you weren't ready to let him go, you felt sick to your stomach.

jake and sunghoon were pissed when he came home telling them he'd broken up with you.

"what's your problem, man? i thought you really liked her." jake says with heat in his voice. jake had come to be pretty good friends with you.

"he does like her. that's why he broke up with her."sunghoon responds, not looking up from his phone. jay shakes his head and scoffs while crawling into his bed.

"fucking idiot." jake remarks.

jay already felt his guilt starting to eat him up.

he didn't go to class for a while, but frequently asked jake if he saw you in chemistry class. for a while the answer was no. but you picked yourself up and got your feet back in class. he asked everyday how you seemed. it nearly became an obsession until he couldn't take it anymore. he started to realize how stupid he is to push you away, the only person who he really has felt love for. he thinks about you wherever he goes, he thinks about how much better it would be if you were with him. if he could whisper jokes in your ear during lectures, if he could dodge your feet trying to step on his sneakers while you wait in line. if he could hold your hand. if he could kiss your forehead and wipe your tears for you. he can't stand being away from you.

so, when jake mentions a party and catches wind of your planned appearance, jay begs to tag along.

when he arrives, the only thing on his mind is you. admittedly that could be said about everything he does. his eyes are searching everywhere before finally landing on you. you look breathtaking wearing that black dress he bought you. he remembers how insecure about it you were and how he told you just how beautiful you were in the changing room.

you had a pretty smile on your face with a solo cup in hand, laughing along with a few of your friends he recognized. he stares for a while planning his approach in his head. but he's too late.

you turn your head and make eye contact with him. you're caught by surprise and you go completely still. you fumble with the drink in your hand while giving it to your friend and leaving the group quickly. he panics and quickly follows you behind.

"y/n, wait!" he calls out to you. you don't budge and just before you can shut heeseung's bedroom door in his face, he catches it with his hand. making eye contact with you was like a breath of fresh air for him. but for you, you almost can feel physical pain in your chest.

"y/n." you can't stop your hands from leaving the door and letting him enter. he shuts it gently behind himself and tries to approach you, to which you back away.

"what do you want, jay" you wish your voice sounded stronger.

"i want you back" he deadpans. you furrow your brows and shake your head.

"what the hell?" you mutter to yourself and feel your eyes start to get hot. you curse yourself for being so emotional.

"i'm sorry. i shouldn't have left. i know you still love me" he says with a completely serious expression.

"jay- " you start feeling anger bubbling and your eyes start to spill.

"you won't find anyone better, i promise. we're perfect together." he cannot be serious right now. how can he leave the way he did and start spewing this bullshit?

"please take me back, y/n. i need you. and i hate to see you cry-" his sentence is cut short with the sting of a swift slap to the face. he's stunned. his hand comes to cup his freshly hit cheek. you're crying in frustration now.

"it didn't seem to bother you so much when you dumped me, jay! i needed you and you left!" you're proud of how stern you sound even while tears are pouring.

"you're just wasting my time." he doesn't know what to say. he didn't expect you to be upset in this way. he really thought you'd take him back in an instant and be overjoyed with his confession. so he stands there with a stunned expression and a bright red cheek.

"thanks for ruining my night, jay." you say wiping your tears from your face. your words stab him like daggers.

he doesn't chase after you this time.

jay's not a crier. but his love is gone, his world. you'll always be the one who got away. moreover, the one he pushed away. you slept with his cashmere sweater in your arms that night like you always do, wishing he was under it.

when u went back home everythings seems wrong like ur childhood bedroom tht u decorated and more. u decided to clean ur room until u found a box which is full of ur memories with heeseung. u missed him a lot. without ur notice ur tears started to swell in ur eyes and u decided to wipe it with ur cardigan sleeve. ur mom told u tht heeseung still live in the neighborhood as u did but rn he's at the dorm. hes staying at the dorm with his 6 other group mates.

a notice caught ur eyes which is a fanmeeting of enhypen and u decided to try ur best. everyday everynight u pray tht u were one of the lucky fans. ur wish granted and yes u did got the chance to meet them so u decided to wear something thts fancy which is a white cotton long sleeve dress with lace at the bottom. u even decided to curl the tip of ur hair and ur ready to go. on ur way there u decided to stop at the nearby store to bought him his favourite chocolate.

ngl the venue was packed and the fans were really loud tht u almost turn into a deaf. as soon as ur turn u get nervous. his eyes got wide and so do urs. "heeseung.." u started and he just smile. before u left u gave him the chocolate tht u bought u even gave to his other members since its kinda not fair if u only gave to him.

'ding!' ur phone rang. u got a noti from a familiar number which is his. u smiled to urself tht he finally lowered his ego to talk to u through chat. he asked for u to wait at the back of the studio so u did. u feel nervous bc u scared tht fans might knew about u. so u hide deeper in the building and hit on a hard chest which is belong to heeseung. he smile like a fool tbh and he couldnt hide his excitement so he hugged u so tightly tht u think u could die at any moment.

"i miss u so much y/n..i dont think a break up would be a great idea for us since i couldnt move on from u. dont tell me tht ur move on?" he looked so worried and thts made u let out a giggles. "i didnt move on seungie..i still love u, dummy" with tht u took the first step which is u tiptoed urself so tht u reach his lips and pecked them. "thts not enough" he pouted so he put his hands on both of ur cheeks and leaned in. the kissed was passionate tht the both of u out of breath. ur the one who pulled away first and u couldnt hide ur blushy cheeks which he founds really cute. its been a long time since sunghoon didnt go to school. he got traumatized over the suicidal tragedy in his own classroom. he never told anyone what's the reason he didnt go to school. instead he only silenced.

she stands on the rooftop of a building and he couldnt took his eyes off by her. he immediately stroll as fast as he could to the building but sadly he didnt make it. he wanted to save that girl so bad but instead he's the one who goes first. he got hit by a truck and die on the spot.

maybe luck never been on his sides since the day he saw his own classmate trying to kill themselves.

Smart,rich, popular he got it all. Everyone's envy him. Except one, he never felt loved by his parents. They always argue if they have the time too. His parents never spare any time towards him. For them he just a big dissapointment in their life.

He wanted to ended his live at the moment. He couldnt bare any pain because it hurts him a lot. He studied to have good grades to makes his parents satisfied but none really makes them satisfied. Maybe ending his life would make them happy.

One more step and he's gone. He's close to his death. He close his eyes to feel the air. He finally floating but suddenly he's on the ground. "Why so soon?" he asked himself. He opened his eyes and he saw a guy. Its Sunoo. Sunoo Kim he's a popular senior in the school. Everyone's envy him but not as much as Jungwons.

"Why did you do that?!" Sunoo voice rang in his ears. His face full of tears but angry at the same time. He look pissed to be exact. Jungwon only crooked his eyebrows and didnt even bother to speak. Sunoo opened his mouth and speak. "Death is not the answer because i killed myself too and only you can see me because we both have the same past". Jungwon were speechless and suprised of his confession.

All his life, he have been seeing Sunoo their ex senior wandering around the school and actually dead because of suicidal. Never in his life he knew that he's dead until today. Might called him crazy but the bond they both have in their friendship were really amazing. They shared a lot of their life stories and expressing their feelings towards each other if they have a hard time. Their friendship is what people envy of eventho Sunoo is dead.

Sunoo would never ever makes Jungwon thinks about suicidal ever again. He didnt want him to be a mess in his after life but a successful one. Jungwons parents might not care about him but Sunoo did.
