[ 𝗨𝗥𝗟 : @/𝙱𝚄𝚁𝙽𝙴𝙳𝚄𝙿 ] did i match url with @plateup? absolutely, because adam and max are a package dea l and they could never tear us apart, becker and i found each other after literal years and now she's stuck with me hahaa. however, there's some shit i thought about that i want to share so here read this. so, originally i was after b.urntup, but of course that was taken. either way, i looked it up (thanks ESL) and found out that technically b.urnedup is grammatically correct so who is really winning? one should know the following implications which are important for context.

when something 𝗕𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗦 𝗨𝗣 it means to be destroyed or overtaken by fire. when someone says something '𝗕𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗦 𝗠𝗘 𝗨𝗣' it means they get really angry about it. when someone is '𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗕𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗘𝗗 𝗨𝗣' it could mean that they're completely done, that they're at the end of their rope. also, to be 𝗕𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗧 (up or out, or to be 𝗕𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗘𝗗 or have 𝗕𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗧) is also a slang term associated with 𝙳𝚁𝚄𝙶 𝚄𝚂𝙴 𝙰𝙽𝙳 𝙷𝙰𝚅𝙸𝙽𝙶 𝙿𝙷𝚈𝚂𝙸𝙲𝙰𝙻 𝙳𝙰𝙼𝙰𝙶𝙴 𝙵𝚁𝙾𝙼 𝙳𝚁𝚄𝙶 𝙰𝙱𝚄𝚂𝙴. very, very fitting both as a title for the film, but also for adam as a character.

oh, and when you overcook or overdo food we call the food 𝗕𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗧. no kidding.

[ 𝗦𝗬𝗠𝗕𝗢𝗟𝗦 : 𝚃𝙷𝙸𝚂𝚃𝙻𝙴𝚂 ] the logo of the restaurant at the langham features a single embossed 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗟𝗘. thistles are associated with 𝙿𝙰𝙸𝙽, 𝙰𝙶𝙶𝚁𝙴𝚂𝚂𝙸𝚅𝙴𝙽𝙴𝚂𝚂 𝙰𝙽𝙳 𝙿𝚁𝙸𝙳𝙴, but also 𝙿𝚁𝙾𝚃𝙴𝙲𝚃𝙸𝙾𝙽. it has prominent barbed spines and prickles that can be quite painful to handle if you're not careful. thistles are both flowers and weeds, and with adam's reputation as both one of the best chefs 𝙰𝙽𝙳 one of the most volatile assholes to grace a kitchen - this is a very apt symbol for him to use. i believe he chose it himself.

additionally, we see jana handling a rather large arrangement of thistles not long before we get the reveal of the logo, and these are a specific kind. 𝗘𝗥𝗬𝗡𝗚𝗜𝗨𝗠𝗦, otherwise known as 𝗦𝗘𝗔 𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗬 are bright blue flowers that symbolize 𝚁𝙴𝚂𝙾𝙻𝚅𝙴, 𝙳𝙴𝚃𝙴𝚁𝙼𝙸𝙽𝙰𝚃𝙸𝙾𝙽 𝙰𝙽𝙳 𝚂𝙾𝙼𝙴𝚃𝙸𝙼𝙴𝚂 𝙸𝙽𝙳𝙴𝙿𝙴𝙽𝙳𝙴𝙽𝙲𝙴. they are also known for their 𝙰𝙿𝙷𝚁𝙾𝙳𝙸𝚂𝙸𝙰𝙲 𝙿𝚁𝙾𝙿𝙴𝚁𝚃𝙸𝙴𝚂, and are used often in wedding bouquets for their symbolic associations with 𝙻𝚄𝚂𝚃. for someone dealing in 'culinary orgasms', it feels appropriate.

[ 𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗢𝗨𝗥 : 𝙱𝙻𝚄𝙴 ] my psd is very blue (no shit), with some more grey-periwinkle tones and a very 𝗕𝗥𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗪𝗛𝗜𝗧𝗘. i chose to lean into this 𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗚𝗢 𝗕𝗟𝗨𝗘 because its the colour of the 𝗦𝗘𝗔 𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗬, seen above. not only that, but adam's eyes are very, very blue, and i thought it couldn't hurt to bring out the colour. blue is an important colour in adam's palette, to me. he prefers cool tones.

anyway this was just an excuse for me to talk about my choices lmfao.
