I'm going to need the powerscaler fans to stop looking at Sanji through the same lens they view Zoro. I don't know what else Oda needs to do to get them to realize Sanji is NOT a fighter & cannot be judged based on feats in battle. Sanji's relationship with his fighting abilities & the powerscaling system in the world of One Piece is vastly different from Zoro's.

Zoro's entire purpose relies on him being strong. His power levels will always be consistent despite any emotional turmoil because that is his role in the story. Zoro needs to be able to go into any battle with the same base level of power because his whole arc is about being able to take down any opponent whenever his crew needs him to. He's supposed to be a one man army. He's supposed to be able to hold the fort down for Luffy whenever it's required of him.

Also, his dream is literally becoming the "strongest swordsman" so of course Zoro will look better to powerscalers. Of course Zoro will have more impressive battles & overall look "stronger" than Sanji. Because that's who he is. Zoro is a fighter before anything else. It's in his blood. It's the driving force of his will & in a series where willpower determines a person's power of course Zoro will come out looking better. Of course Zoro has conquers Haki & not Sanji.

Sanji on the other hand is the complete opposite. Despite consistently being one of the strongest in the crew & able to stand side by side with both Luffy & Zoro his relationship with fighting is not the same. He wasn't introduced as a fighter, but as a cook & a protector of love in all forms be it romantic or platonic. Sanji's desire to be strong has never stem from a respect of fighting or an inherent desire to make his name as a warrior. He fights because it makes him useful to those he cares about & it lets him stay true to his ideals in a world that literally tried to beat them out of him. His epithet is Love Cook for fucks sake!

So of course Sanji's battle history will look underwhelming compared to others, especially Mr. Demon King Zoro. Since his will to fight is tied to his emotions he can look insanely powerful in one battle, but absolutely pathetic in another. He will be as weak as a toddler against a female opponent, but as strong as Luffy whenever his heart is moved to action.

His strength of will is tied to his heart & that naturally leads to fluctuations in his power at any given time. Sanji cannot fight if his heart is not in it & that's how he's supposed to be. It's why he places seemingly nonsensical handicaps on himself despite being way stronger without them, because being impressive isn't the point for him. It never was. It's why his defining moment in wci was baking a cake and not an epic 1v1. Sanji isn't here to make people go ooh & ahhh at his one shot wins or his epic looking finishing move.

This doesn't make him useless or a badly written character or a "fraud". It just makes him different and if the powerscalers could stop focusing on the wrong things & judge Sanji in the way he's supposed to be judged I bet they would find him a lot more enjoyable than before. At least I would like to think so. Otherwise y'all are acting a lot like Judge & that's not a good look for anyone.
