Cozy Cabin Collection - Nursery

Hey everyone!

Sorry for the delay I was working a lot on this to be the way I wanted it to be but here it is! The next part of the Cozy Cabin Colletion is the nursery.

This time I wanted to bring a cozy, bear themed nursery with neutral colors and elements that represent nature.

This set has started a little difficult and I had to change some things because I wanted to include windows too but I realized there are so many things I want to make that the windows have to be left out this time. So I basically wasted a 3-4 days. Technically those days aren't wasted because I'll include the windows hopefully in the next set but I had less time for the items in this set.

I had a rough time with the curtains because at first these looked more thrown on the crib but I discovered that the arch is exactly the same as some in-game arched windows and I wanted them to be useable more ways so I redid them to be more curtainy. This inspired me to do arched windows so maybe I'll do them next, I'm not sure yet.

So about the items. I made these arches with the wooden frames to go together as you can see. All of them come in all 3 wall heights. The best to place them with half tile placement turned on with the F5 key.

I added 3 different furniture to slot into the wooden frames. You can mix and match these however you like or use them separately. With the half tile placement you can put them next to each other perfectly. 2 of them are shelves and one is a dresser with dresser functionality.

I mentioned the curtains the fit perfectly under the arch so you can use them like a canopy above the crib.

The changing table is base game and functional.

(The armchair and deco cushion is from the previous Entryway set.)

Despite some things being difficult I really enjoyed doing these items and this is my favourite collection I've done so far.

Around the Sims 4 | Maxis Match - Counter & Island for Tiny Houses

Before getting the pack, I had already promised myself to make some furniture for Tiny Houses (I love small spaces!), and I waited for the release of the stuff pack, because I wanted to take the counter as base of design for my future furniture… but there was actually no new counter with the stuff pack! :D

So. First thing to do: a counter and an island, matching with the rest of the furniture of the stuff pack! To come, my new furniture (but there might be another set about something else in the meanwhile, because I have something ready for almost a month now! ;D) Note that Tiny Houses isn’t required to use these counters.

Around the Sims 4 | Crafting Room #2 - Furniture

More for this huge Craftig room thema with now the main furniture: a high desk in which you can store cases, boxes or clutter; seatings: a bar chair and its matching regular chair and rocking chair; shelf & drawer cabinet, and last, a pegboard, with pegboard shelves & pot. Your Sims can get Inspired or Focused by watching their pegboard, it can be useful for a crafting room! :)

Around the Sims 4 | Crafting Room - Sculpture & Painting

It could be named “the endless theme”. *lol* Yeah, more stuff for your crafting room, with sculptures & paintings “in progress”, tools (chisel, hammer, pain tubes…), and other surfaces (easel, stands…) & decorative stuff. There’s also a matching wood working bench.

Aahah, you thought your Sims were lucky to not have dental problem? No cavities, no bad breath, not fearing a dentist appointment… Well, this was before the fabulous Dani’s mod! Yes, the fantastic Dani made a very complete mod allowing your Sims to have all kinds of teeth problems, but where my tiny objects come to help! Bad breath? Get breath mints! Cavities? Around the Sims 4 | Bunk beds

I was a bit excited when I got this request from a Patreon: “ will you update your bunk bed for the new bunk beds coming with the patch?”. Yes! Bunk beds!!! Tiny houses, kid bedrooms, all my favorites!!!

And then, what a disappointement to see EA made their bunk beds useless… Thankfully, Lotharihoe enabled the slots EA had made to put furniture under the beds (otherwise, what is the point, seriously?!). I recommand you to download the mod if you haven’t already!

I remade all my mattresses as “top bunk bed”. You can eventually get rid of the “top/loft” single mattresses made for my pre-patch bunk beds. You can also put one-tile object (desk, dresser…), if you don’t put them on the ladder side.

I also remade all my frames to match with the ladder placement, and, for the one-ladder-only model, I made a right and left versions. The frames are made to not clip with my duvet, which is wider than the EA sheets, so put the frame first, then the mattress, so you don’t have a part of the frame disappearing in the walls. :)

Around the Sims 4 | Condiments + new ingredients for custom recipes

I needed a bottle of Maggi, Patreons needed groceries, and then, thanks to SrslySims, I learnt how to make my kitchen clutter usable through the Complete Cooking Overhaul mod, and to make new ingredients… Now, nothing can stop me! :D So, all these condiment containers are usable, and contain oil, vinegar, mayonnaise… I’ve also created 4 new ingredients: salt, pepper, mustard and tahini, that can be used in custom recipes. If, like me, you’re a lazy player, don’t worry: these items can be used as clutter, just to decorate your kitchen. No problem! :)

Around the Sims 4 | Dresser Stuff I like the new hanging clothes system in the Decorator pack, working as dresser, but I needed a rail a bit lighter than the existing one, so here’s a single bar to hang clothes. I’ve also added 6 new sets of clothes to hang. New? Well, not completely as they’re based on EA objects, but they have  a new hanger matching to the Decorator’s one, and more recolors.

Around the Sims 4 | Harvestable aromatic plants

In real life, I cook and garden, but honestly, it bores me in game, I’m too lazy, I don’t have the patience. But playing with the SrslySims’ Cooking Overlaul makes the cooking process funnier in game, and my Sims begin to cook for real, with ingredients and such. But I still can’t wait for a plant to grow…. so, I’ve made those aromatical plants for kitchen: they’re not real plants needing water and care, but you can netherless harvest herbs to cook with, without destroying the plant (yep, iit’s almost cheating, I know…. told you I was lazy!) I’ve made  pots for the EA aromatic: - parsley - sage - basil but also for 3 of @icy-spicy-scalpel - thyme - rosemary - peppermint

Credit to SrslySims because it works like her package ingredients, except that it’s a plant, and that it’s not destroyed when you take from it.

Around the Sims 4 | Toys

When I’ve been asked to remake some of my old toys for Sims 4, I was quite excited because thanks to great modders like Ravasheen and PandaSama, I could actually have my kitchen toys or rocking horse/alligator functional again! I’ve also revamped a bit my cloth doll that I had meshed 11 years ago!! You’ll also find a racing car circuit, doll furniture and my old black board! 12 new toys for your kiddies! Isn’t it a bit like Christmas in July?

Here’s a collection of perfume bottles that are not only decorative but functional, as long as you own Outdoors Retreat: using these perfumes will make your Sims feeling fresh, but also, depending on which perfume you’re using, feeling flirty or confident! Around the Sims 4 | Crafting room - tools & workbench

You thought the crafting room was complete, huh? You had already to push the walls to add more and more stuff to it, and yet, there’s more? Well, yes, because it reactivated that old wish of mine to build a repair café in my student town, a place to repair stuff, but also to craft various things, but also where to have a drink and a snack (because everything in my game ends up by a drink & a snack…) So, I needed tools; I re-used Sims 4 tools, I know they’ve been done before but I’ve added extra colors, I’ve tried to improve a bit the texture, and more important, I also made versions for the pegboard, so you can hang tools as you want. I’ve also added a new workbench, and few other stuff like a small toolbox.
